My situation was NOT the norm for me. It was Memorial Day Weekend at 2am on a Sunday morning when my incident took place. My coverage service was contacted roughly 5am when I finally was able to make my phone call. As they called attorneys, Mr. Mulligan was the 3rd one and the only one that answered on Memorial Day weekend. He immediately contacted my wife and assured her that he was on top of the situation and was watching for any news about me in the system. I did not live close and we met on Memorial Day at his office. He took time out of the holiday to meet with me and walk me through scenarios for my case that could take place. Joshua Mulligan kept me informed every step of the way. We were ready for the prelim and during the prelim Mr. Mulligan was on his A GAME. I would have done better with a public defender. Drugs found in a car not registered to me a mile away from my house. The owner was doing bank robberies with that truck but during trial, he didn't even mention it to the jury. Paid him for fingerprint expert, but I didn't see a fingerprint expert. Plus I had 2 cases that I had to pay him separate for and he consolidated them. So the jury heard evidence from both cases. He is OK if you only want a deal but not for trial. 14 years at 80% for sales case

Mr. William Christoph, as others have attested to before, is an exceedingly hardworking, responsive, and kind man. Nick cleared up and old case that had been on my record for decades. Literally. Our 18 year old son was cited a 11357(b) ticket for possession of less than 1 ounce of marijuana and was facing losing his driver's license for 1 year as well as the fine, penalty assessments and court costs. We hired Jessica to represent our son and the outcome was an excellent, superior result! The whole process could not have gone any smoother for us nor the outcome any greater. We can't thank you enough Jessica, we know you had to work hard in order to reach the dismissal of our son's charge. You are a fighter and truly dedicated to your profession. Unsure of the exact course of action we should take, we started looking for a lawyer who specialized in cases like ours and we found Jessica. Jessica was a breath of fresh air in the lawyers we interviewed. She was pleasant, all business, with a no nonsense approach to strategies we could take. We explained our concerns about the impact this citation would have on our son’s future endeavors and she recommended several strategies that we could use to mitigate the most severe results. Much to my dismay, my husband's foray into the world of medical marijuana resulted in a desperate need for an attorney. I found Jessica McElfresh on the NORML website and, from the first phone call, found her to be direct and knowledgeable. We interviewed several lawyers and I ended up retaining her as my attorney. I am SO thankful that I did. She spent a lot of time on my case, collected her own evidence, managed a very difficult witness, and worked to get a deal that will result in a total dismissal of all the charges. She responded to emails nearly instantaneously - even after hours - and telephone calls in less than an hour. I also felt like she always gave me a fair assessment of how the case was progressing and what I could expect. She answered any question I had, even if it were only peripherally related to the case and researched some other issues I was also concerned about. My husband ended up working with two other attorneys, both of whom had more experience and were more expensive. Unfortunately, those two things did not guarantee a better attorney. In comparison, she was clearly the most knowledgeable about our case and the laws surrounding it, the easiest to contact, the most organized, and a real workhorse. She is confident in her skills and will aggressively fight (which might not be apparent just meeting her one-on-one - have no doubt, she's a fighter). If you find yourself in need of a criminal attorney, I'd say look no further - she turns all those bad lawyer stereotypes on their head!

Being represented and backed up in court by Mike Donaldson was alleviating, I say this because going through the process of the courts, court dates, fees we must pay as citizens to have the privilege of fighting our cases, my family and I were alleviated by the control we felt our legal team had when going up against the Superior Court of California County of Riverside. They understood fully the pressure we felt as a family to have my case be dwindled down to as little of punishment as possible for the events that transpired. They grasp the magnitude of situations their clients are in and did everything possible to reassure us that they would get us out of the hole we felt I was in. I was arrested for crashing and then blowing a .08. I was devastated from being arrested for the first time and was facing DUI charges. I called 4 or 5 top-rated DUI attorneys in Temecula. I talked to each one for 30 minutes to one hour on the phone. Many of the responses were very uninterested and grim or OVERLY "promising" to talk to. And then I spoke to Mike Donaldson, and everything felt right. I decided to pay the $4,500 and meet with him and his partner in person at their location in Riverside, CA. Mike Donaldson take appropriate action to have my DUI dismissed. One thing that stood out to me is his attention to detail and patience to find a "reasonable" prosecutor. Also, they didn't charge me for the DMV appeal. I feel like Mike saved my life. He went over everything and made me feel less like a terrible person. Mike is forever in my positive memories. And most importantly, My DUI charge went down to a reckless driving charge with a quick 32 hr online class and a small court fee of like $2,500. Nobody ever feels like they need an attorney until they need an attorney, lol. Our son was in a situation where he was at the wrong place at the wrong time. An altercation ensued and he was arrested for assault and battery, and bodily injury was added because the other person fell and hit their head on the back of a car bumper in the parking lot. The cops not knowing the whole story, just arrested our son and booked him with some serious charges. We turned to Bartell, Hensel & Gressley for help and counsel. Mike Donaldson was on it right away, getting all the info, all the details, and helping our son through the process all the way. Due to COVID-19, it was a little frustrating trying to get police reports, talking to witnesses, backed up court dates, etc., but Mike was always pushing through. Long story short, Mike was able to get pretty much all charges dropped down to only one that is a misdemeanor. We are really thankful that we went with this team, they work hard and ease the pain of having to deal with the judicial system.

Attorney Manuel J. Barba is extreamly versed in the DUI laws and the courts here in Riverside county. I can speak from personal expirience that he shows up to his clients court dates and represents his clients in a proffesional yet vigourous manner. If your freedom is valuable to you as mine is to me then your fee should not be the deciding factor in the decision to seek the best representation. He also let me pay in 3 installments which helped. I will not disclose my case but just know; I felt as if I would be in a far worst situation had I not been represented by Mr. Barba.
