I  hired Tigran Palyan at the ending of my case after hiring 2 attorneys who mess up everything. I wish I had hired him at the beginning. I can't say he is a cheap attorney but whatever he charges compared to his job it is worth it. He is very honest and is a man who tries to help both sides to make a fair decision which I can't say to my ex's attorney who was only thinking about his profit. After hiring Tigran my ex's attorney understood that it's time to leave the case and he can't make more money by extending the hearings. Even my ex said thank you to Tigran after finalizing the case. I would recommend all couples to hire Mr Palyan as a mediator to get a fair decision for both sides instead of spending thousands of dollars on different attorneys.

I found Mr. Palyan online and can not imagine finding a better family lawyer. I am extremely satisfied and grateful for the way which Mr. Palyan handled my divorce proceeding. He will do everything in his power to get you a peaceful cooperative speedy resolution, yet will always stand for your position and rights as necessary. I have also noticed Judges respect him for his strong background in Family law, sincere character and direct communication to be superior to the others. Move away, Domestic Violence Restraining order... Any kind of RFO he will handle the case in the best way with the utmost professionalism. He and his stuff are very professional and caring. I came to Henrik last year during a difficult time in my life. I had called a lot of attorneys for consultations regarding my marriage and our child. I decided to go with Henrik and I was happy that I did. He helped guide me through all the rough patches in my divorce process and was aggressive in Court when it came time to my child. I truly am thankful for the great service and aggressive representation that Henrik provided. He was literally always available to take my frantic calls throughout the day. I was so impressed with Henrik that I recently called him for representation on a personal injury case from a car accident. I retained Rocky Elkaddoum as our lawyer when my ex husband asked for a post-judgement modification of child custody and visitation order. From the first initial consultation we felt that Rocky and his team would fight for us. Due to COVID our meetings were all phone calls but they were always consistent and timely. I am very satisfied with our outcome and walked out of the courthouse without the anxiety and stress I had been feeling for the last few months. I'm so thankful for the service that we received with this attorney. I am extremely glad that my son chose this attorney to represent him. Everyone was extremely helpful they took the time to really listen to what my son had say and what he wanted. I understand Randy is one of the best attorneys out there but I would like to leave my honest review. I contacted Randys office to discuss my case his assistant or girl answering the phone said she would call me back, i waited 2 days and no call back. I then called his office back and i explained that I never got a call back and she lied to me and said she called me back and another guy answered the phone and said that he wasn't interested which was false since I am the only person who answers my calls. She then made an appointment for me to talk to Randy. I discussed my case with him and he said he would email me a retainer agreement as soon as he had time. Two weeks later and still didn't receive it and time is of the essence. I called his office again and explained to his secretary that I never received retainer agreement, she then said she would call me back. Two days later no call back so I emailed Randy letting him know that nobody has gotten back to me and his assistant is not doing very well with following up or calling back. He said I thought you were not interested and then went on to tell me he was no longer available during my court date. I wish they would have had better communication skills. I heard Randy is one of the absolute best but the offices communication skills are terrible. Good luck.

After reading the negative reviews of Mr. Medina, I felt compelled to write a review myself. Mr. Medina is a top notch attorney. I found that he was very attentive and listened as I related details of my mistake of a marriage. I initially tried to go pro per, but as I did not know what I was doing and my ex had a pretty savvy attorney, I was fighting a losing battle. I decided that I would have to hire an attorney myself. After doing some extensive research and had a couple of consultations, I decided my best bet was to hire Mr. Medina. Needless to say I’m a very happy camper. Not only did Mr. Medina help me keep my house, I was also able to keep my 401k and other sentimental valuables. I recommend Mr. Medina 100%. You absolutely will not regret it.

This attorney does not do what he says. I hired him for my son’s custody case years ago, did nothing but cost me a lot of money. He went in/out of court not giving attention to my son’s case. Do not hire him , look elsewhere. He called me a “fake” among other things on Yelp. He ask my attorney to have me remove the review. I attached my case no# so you can understand I’m not fake. Just learn from other people’s mistakes. There are some great attorneys likewise some that offer the world, but really just cost you.

Wow, I am speechless on the experience i have with this attorney. I went in and the first thing that comes out is "Im not sure if I can help you." Keep in mind I haven't even explain the reason for my visit. I have hired other attorneys before and I came to him because he has awards and I figured he can do some good. My reason of the visit was because i want to extend my time with my son's. It is very disappointing and sad on how I was treated. He basically belittled me in front of my son. Please see other attorneys before you decide to go here. I can say more but my son wants pancakes.

To refer to Mark as a mediator isn't really describing what he does. He's trained and licensed as an attorney but meeting with Mark is a quick reminder why there are so many lawyer jokes. He's like the anti-lawyer. He truly truly cares about his clients and leaves his own agenda (if he even has one in these situations) outside the room. Mediation to help multiple parties come to a satisfying agreement is only part of what he does - I've come to refer to him as an emotional translator. When two people are angry at each other it's more than just anger - Mark helped me see this. There's hurt, betrayal, sadness, grief, and a myriad of other emotions I can't think of right now - but I bet Mark can! He's excellent with naming feelings that you may not know you even have. He's incredible at teaching people to see the other's point of view in a way that doesn't make you feel defensive of yours - huge for me as a control freak always in recovery. Mark helped me navigate a very difficult relationship I was having with my mother and I wanted to be able to let go of my anger - I was beginning to think it wasn't possible and it made me sad as my mom is getting older and I wanted so bad to heal our relationship while she's still here. Mark was incredibly instrumental in making that happen and I'm forever grateful. Like in any mediation situation it always takes all parties willing to do the work but Mark has a way of diffusing tension and making the parties willing and even WANTING to find peaceful resolution. Highly highly recommend him.

Mark is one of the few family law attorneys who is truly collaborative. I am a peacemaking attorney, as well, and I appreciate that Mark doesn’t just preach settlement of cases and then tell his clients what they have to do like most attorneys who still litigate. The fact that he no longer litigates is proof that he is committed to helping his clients to resolve their divorce without fighting in court. He doesn’t try to push the law onto his clients and instead listens to his clients’ concerns and values and is creative rather than being stuck on the law. He doesn’t rely on the dissomaster program to settle disputes but rather does the work to discuss the reality of his clients’ needs and budgeting. When Mark is involved in cases with me, I know he will move the case along without billing unnecessary hours, bullying and he won’t be too busy with court appearances. Leslie Howell

His mediation style approach was instrumental in getting us to understand the concepts and implications of all items that needed to be addressed. Although we did not use a mediator, Mark's approach facilitated open communication and discussion. My mother passed away earlier this year and since Mark had drawn up her living trust I felt it made sense to go to him for all the final paper work and ultimately a will of my own. He was exceedingly kind and easy to talk to and very promptly and thoroughly took care of everything for what I thought was a reasonable price. He took a lot of time to explain everything and let me know what all my options were. I can totally see how he would be an excellent mediator!!

Before working with Mark, my now ex-husband and I discussed and we both agreed on how to proceed. I hired a paralegal to prepare all the paperwork, but not understanding the process and what needed to be done, it didn’t feel right. So I decided to work with Mark. Within 30 min of our first consultation, I had learned that the prior document I filed was not correct and the court couldn’t have addressed the issues of division of property or support. Mark helped me to redo all the paperwork and as soon as it was done, my ex-husband decided he didn’t want to sign the agreement and had decided to do nothing. Mark helped me refile the paperwork and it was really frustrating because it ended up costing me more money. However, the 2nd time around we disregarded the previous agreement with my ex husband, and I sought guideline child support from him that I was previously willing not to take had he cooperated. In the end, the court has approved all the paperwork we filed and granted me $1000 child support per month. It was a pleasure working with Mark. He thought out the process and spent his time explaining every step of the way while giving me perspectives that I didn’t consider. I was able to make voluntary and informed decisions. Mark is very thorough and detail oriented, which really put me at ease knowing that everything would be handled properly.

Save yourself the trouble please this is not a 5 star firm by any means. They are very expensive for a below average representation. Mane(attorney) my girlfriends representative failed to execute many things during court. She is young and extremely inexperienced. Look elsewhere. We were not happy with the results. This is an unbiased honest review.

I highly recommend Deborah Soleymani for divorce and family law. She is extremely efficient and covers every aspect of your case with a fine tooth comb. She cares deeply and makes you feel as if you have a good friend on your side that has your back. She is very strong when dealing with opposing counsel when needed, and also has a very approachable personality that makes it very easy to converse with her. I believe she is exceptional. In a time when I was very vulnerable, she made my divorce procedure easier and was of great help to me.

I want to praise Partner, Patrick Baghdaserians, for his work as mediator at the courthouse. I wish I had found him to represent me during my divorce. He is a much better lawyer than the ones I hired and fired. They didn't help me; he did. He was professional, nice, confident, patient, helpful. I assumed these mediators worked for the court, but he's a volunteer! One more reason to hire him!

Going through a divorce is a painful process. Please, do not pay your retainer in full like I did, don’t make the mistake I’ve made. I started with the Graves Law Firm for my divorce in October 2016 and in April 2020 still no divorce. I’m done with this Law Firm. This should have been an easy case because I wasn’t going back and forgot with my wife on anything. I would make calls to the law office about my case, get charge for the calls, and nothing happens but deductions off my retainer. Next, I paid $4.50 to LA County Court online for a copy of my case record, and discovered Attorney Graves was filing for continuations for years without my knowledge. She is no different than a shady home contractor. She wasted over 3 years of my time and over $11,000 of my money that I can’t get back. Now I have to go though Self-Help with the local courts. Update: Represented myself and divorce finalized on 03/10/2021.

I interned at this law firm from August until now. Taryn may has to be one of the worse supervisors I have worked for at this law firm. She hardly responds, it takes her forever to get back to my emails, she has no empathy even when she knows she’s wrong she will not apologize on her behalf. I had a hard time with scheduling with this supervisor, It’s not a professional setting because they do as they please. Taryn, let me go because I missed one appointment, my parking took forever to get my reimbursement, and I had complain about her. If you’re looking for an internship don’t do it here because as I mentioned people line her don’t care she shouldn’t be a supervisor here.

I wish I had a better experience. Everyone was very welcoming and were ready and willing to help, but I waited to be seen 6 hours (10am-4pm) only for them to tell me they couldn't help me. I wish they would have told me at the beginning so that I didn't have to waist a whole day. Especially because I had to pay someone to babysit.

HBFLC is a well run organization that depends on a host of volunteers. The organization has a relatively easy way of plugging in and helping on as much of a frequent basis as your schedule allows. The work they do is much needed and is a great resource.
