WOW is the first word that comes to mind about Warren.  I had a tough case fighting for custody of my teenager.  It is hard to enforce custody orders when your child is older and it was imperative to have enforceable orders as the clock was running out.  His orders along with Ex Parte's to get the job done in the shortest time we could do, were amazing.  Warren knew just the orders to ask for that were enforceable.  If you are coming from your heart as a parent for the best interest of your child, taking steps towards that goal consistently and with determination. Warren did a fine job. I think we worked together, and communicated well, as a team. We established three or four key points. Gathered facts and data, and presented those in very clear, almost irrefutable Exhibits. Being as highly motivated as I was to win this case, I was willing to put in whatever hours were needed to generate documents that supported the arguments as Mr. Shiell indicated. All in all, the outcome was better than I had hoped.

I hired Warren Shiell to deal with a relatively straightforward matter involving the renegotiation of the final stages of my divorce agreement. While the legal aspects were not complicated, I needed someone who could help me plan out a strategy in advance (I came to him almost six months before a deadline mandated in the agreement) and be sensitive to the psychology of the situation. I’m sorry to report he was inattentive both to the case and to the notes I gave him about dealing with my ex, was difficult to reach, called out of the blue only when it suited him, failed to draft a proposal letter as I repeatedly ask him to do and then, with just a few weeks to go before deadline, disappeared on vacation for a month without any forewarning. The one document he produced was a strategy sheet, which largely reproduced work done by a forensic accountant (for which I had paid separately) and proved to be almost entirely unusable after I hired a new – fabulous, efficient, attentive and effective – attorney. After I dismissed him, it took him more than a month to provide a final billing and a check for the balance of my retainer, and then only after repeated reminders that became necessarily more insistent. In the wake of his dismissal, he charged three times as much for the last month as he had for previous four. He insisted he had charged me correctly for the work he put in, but I saw scant evidence that that was the case. I was deeply disappointed because Mr. Shiell came warmly recommended as a tough but fair-minded divorce lawyer who charged reasonable rates and gave clients their money’s worth. That was not my experience, on any front. Perhaps he didn’t find my case all that interesting. If so, he should have turned me down and/or referred me elsewhere, not wasted my time and my money. Others beware.

I understand Randy is one of the best attorneys out there but I would like to leave my honest review. I contacted Randys office to discuss my case his assistant or girl answering the phone said she would call me back, i waited 2 days and no call back. I then called his office back and i explained that I never got a call back and she lied to me and said she called me back and another guy answered the phone and said that he wasn't interested which was false since I am the only person who answers my calls. She then made an appointment for me to talk to Randy. I discussed my case with him and he said he would email me a retainer agreement as soon as he had time. Two weeks later and still didn't receive it and time is of the essence. I called his office again and explained to his secretary that I never received retainer agreement, she then said she would call me back. Two days later no call back so I emailed Randy letting him know that nobody has gotten back to me and his assistant is not doing very well with following up or calling back. He said I thought you were not interested and then went on to tell me he was no longer available during my court date. I wish they would have had better communication skills. I heard Randy is one of the absolute best but the offices communication skills are terrible. Good luck.

After reading the negative reviews of Mr. Medina, I felt compelled to write a review myself. Mr. Medina is a top notch attorney. I found that he was very attentive and listened as I related details of my mistake of a marriage. I initially tried to go pro per, but as I did not know what I was doing and my ex had a pretty savvy attorney, I was fighting a losing battle. I decided that I would have to hire an attorney myself. After doing some extensive research and had a couple of consultations, I decided my best bet was to hire Mr. Medina. Needless to say I’m a very happy camper. Not only did Mr. Medina help me keep my house, I was also able to keep my 401k and other sentimental valuables. I recommend Mr. Medina 100%. You absolutely will not regret it.

This attorney does not do what he says. I hired him for my son’s custody case years ago, did nothing but cost me a lot of money. He went in/out of court not giving attention to my son’s case. Do not hire him , look elsewhere. He called me a “fake” among other things on Yelp. He ask my attorney to have me remove the review. I attached my case no# so you can understand I’m not fake. Just learn from other people’s mistakes. There are some great attorneys likewise some that offer the world, but really just cost you.

Wow, I am speechless on the experience i have with this attorney. I went in and the first thing that comes out is "Im not sure if I can help you." Keep in mind I haven't even explain the reason for my visit. I have hired other attorneys before and I came to him because he has awards and I figured he can do some good. My reason of the visit was because i want to extend my time with my son's. It is very disappointing and sad on how I was treated. He basically belittled me in front of my son. Please see other attorneys before you decide to go here. I can say more but my son wants pancakes.

Jonathan Parkavan represented me and my children in a move away case. He has an exemplary understanding of Family Law, and was able to communicate with me so I fully understood the process and the seriousness of my case. Mrs Beyers is the rarity in Family Law. She does not over reach and tells the truth about a massively broken system. She puts children first, and tries to get both sides to get to their separate futures. My divorce was a worst case scenario, and Mrs Beyers was brought in on limited scope to salvage what was gross misconduct by all against her client. She guided me (the father) to the places i need to be and is retained for support matters. As it only takes one to make a nasty divorce and my ex is that one.

let me start by saying that when I Retain Mr. Brian Mitchell it was one of the best decisions I made after i was in a deep Hole with another attorney with my divorce and child custody case. To refer to Mark as a mediator isn't really describing what he does. He's trained and licensed as an attorney but meeting with Mark is a quick reminder why there are so many lawyer jokes. He's like the anti-lawyer. He truly truly cares about his clients and leaves his own agenda (if he even has one in these situations) outside the room. Mediation to help multiple parties come to a satisfying agreement is only part of what he does - I've come to refer to him as an emotional translator. When two people are angry at each other it's more than just anger - Mark helped me see this. There's hurt, betrayal, sadness, grief, and a myriad of other emotions I can't think of right now - but I bet Mark can! He's excellent with naming feelings that you may not know you even have. He's incredible at teaching people to see the other's point of view in a way that doesn't make you feel defensive of yours - huge for me as a control freak always in recovery. Mark helped me navigate a very difficult relationship I was having with my mother and I wanted to be able to let go of my anger - I was beginning to think it wasn't possible and it made me sad as my mom is getting older and I wanted so bad to heal our relationship while she's still here. Mark was incredibly instrumental in making that happen and I'm forever grateful. Like in any mediation situation it always takes all parties willing to do the work but Mark has a way of diffusing tension and making the parties willing and even WANTING to find peaceful resolution. Highly highly recommend him.

Mark is one of the few family law attorneys who is truly collaborative. I am a peacemaking attorney, as well, and I appreciate that Mark doesn’t just preach settlement of cases and then tell his clients what they have to do like most attorneys who still litigate. The fact that he no longer litigates is proof that he is committed to helping his clients to resolve their divorce without fighting in court. He doesn’t try to push the law onto his clients and instead listens to his clients’ concerns and values and is creative rather than being stuck on the law. He doesn’t rely on the dissomaster program to settle disputes but rather does the work to discuss the reality of his clients’ needs and budgeting. My mother passed away earlier this year and since Mark had drawn up her living trust I felt it made sense to go to him for all the final paper work and ultimately a will of my own. He was exceedingly kind and easy to talk to and very promptly and thoroughly took care of everything for what I thought was a reasonable price. He took a lot of time to explain everything and let me know what all my options were. I can totally see how he would be an excellent mediator!!

Before working with Mark, my now ex-husband and I discussed and we both agreed on how to proceed. I hired a paralegal to prepare all the paperwork, but not understanding the process and what needed to be done, it didn’t feel right. So I decided to work with Mark. Within 30 min of our first consultation, I had learned that the prior document I filed was not correct and the court couldn’t have addressed the issues of division of property or support. Mark helped me to redo all the paperwork and as soon as it was done, my ex-husband decided he didn’t want to sign the agreement and had decided to do nothing. Mark helped me refile the paperwork and it was really frustrating because it ended up costing me more money. However, the 2nd time around we disregarded the previous agreement with my ex husband, and I sought guideline child support from him that I was previously willing not to take had he cooperated. In the end, the court has approved all the paperwork we filed and granted me $1000 child support per month. It was a pleasure working with Mark. He thought out the process and spent his time explaining every step of the way while giving me perspectives that I didn’t consider. I was able to make voluntary and informed decisions. Mark is very thorough and detail oriented, which really put me at ease knowing that everything would be handled properly.

Save yourself the trouble please this is not a 5 star firm by any means. They are very expensive for a below average representation. Mane(attorney) my girlfriends representative failed to execute many things during court. She is young and extremely inexperienced. Look elsewhere. We were not happy with the results. This is an unbiased honest review.

I highly recommend Deborah Soleymani for divorce and family law. She is extremely efficient and covers every aspect of your case with a fine tooth comb. She cares deeply and makes you feel as if you have a good friend on your side that has your back. She is very strong when dealing with opposing counsel when needed, and also has a very approachable personality that makes it very easy to converse with her. I believe she is exceptional. In a time when I was very vulnerable, she made my divorce procedure easier and was of great help to me.

I want to praise Partner, Patrick Baghdaserians, for his work as mediator at the courthouse. I wish I had found him to represent me during my divorce. He is a much better lawyer than the ones I hired and fired. They didn't help me; he did. He was professional, nice, confident, patient, helpful. I assumed these mediators worked for the court, but he's a volunteer! One more reason to hire him!
