I would like to share my experience of going through the divorce with the readers, before I knew about this firm and Casey, I went to another firm in Merced which was recommended as a prominent attorney, his wife as his PA asked for lots of documents and forms to complete which took me while and with help of other I did , they asked for lots of money to start with I see to their demands over and over, kept me waiting for several years , and asked for more and more money, any time I went to ask for the progress on my paid time I learned more about his family birth , accidents, divorce and death than my own case, finally I refused to pay more money until I see him in the court, he responded by giving back piles of papers which was supposed to be my file and showed me the door. I start searching and my son recommended Casey, I really believe she is not just the attorney with exceedingly professional , caring, knowledge, organized and readiness skills qualities, I believe she is an angel, when I saw her and my file was organized in different folder I noticed most essential part of my documents were missing, but she comforted me and with friendly attitude tried to sort my problem, with fraction of money I paid to the other firm within 6 months with readiness beyond my believe she solved my problem, I would like to say thank you my angel you are excellent.

Used up my legal benefits before finishing any work other than my divorce was filed, which I learned later it could be done easily through self help center. Her legal assistant would contact me via phone calls or emails multiple times for same misunderstanding she made, then charged me for every contact including the ones she apologized for her mistakes. Refused to give me back copies of the files that I submitted. Made falsely documents and then rushed me to sign them. Evan charged my legal insurance, her assistant charged my personal deposit account, called retainer account. After I used the self help service, learned that the some work they had charged me for was no different than doubled dipping. Ignored my email and missed my first CMC, I personally showed up at first court date, but it was some one else representing my case whom I did not know, and that attorney did not know I was at the court since we have never met each other...It messed up. After I ended their service, found out my 15 hours or $3000 legal insurance benefits was used up by her, my deposit account was charged by her assistant was close to $2000, total charges were close to $5000, what was done? Self help center showed me later that nothing else was done besides the divorce was filed which cost less $500. This was my experience. Quite a pain while going through divorce hardship.

I met with Ms. Evans for the first time on July of 2017 to help me with my amicable divorce case. I was very impressed with how detailed and sincere she was. During our meeting, she asked me detailed questions about my situation and took notes the entire time. She was very efficient in preparing the documents for my divorce case that my husband who had a very unpleasant experience with his lawyer couldn’t help but compliment Ms. Evans on her honesty and efficiency and told me he wished he had her representing him. My divorce though amicable was very emotional experience for me. Having Ms. Evans representing me made it a whole lot easier to deal with. You need a great family law attorney? You need an attorney to fight for you? Lindsey Bannerman is your go to!!! I found myself at the lowest place of my life, going through an addiction to alcohol and I lost my time with my child. I felt like the biggest loser and the most horrible father!! Lindsey was honest and up front with me, from the start. I had A LOT of trash on my street that I had to clean up. Lindsey guided me along my journey, was extremely patient and very understanding as well. When she was called upon all she did was hit grand slams!! I was hoping she would hit homeruns, but never expected her to hit grand slams. She fought for me through my child custody battles and aloud me to get more and more time with each and every court date. All she and we did was WIN!!!! Calling Lindsey Bannerman to help me was one of the best decisions I have ever made. She is a wonderful person. My situation was very lengthy and complicated. I had called previous lawyers and even had hired a lawyer before her. While other lawyers did give me some great heartfelt advice, they were not interested in helping me, as they said they felt like it was going to be a long road and not enough compensation for their work. I almost gave up hope. I am a single mother with a son who has special medical needs and I had been fighting a custody battle as well. I prayed hard on what to do when I felt my options were running out and the little money I had, was wasting away with no solutions. I had a moment of despair, and literally prayed for hours on what to do. I woke up the next morning remembering someone had told me her name years ago, and I picked up the phone. She saw me in her office, and said she felt my story, and understood I needed a legal voice, and would be glad to help me and see this through. I cried. As a single, first-time mom, I’ve reached out to Rebecca several times for a consultation in how to navigate potential issues with my daughter’s father. I’m always worried that I’m talking too much, or rambling on about information that’s not important. The Divorce process sucks in CA but Rick and his team notably Leanna the paralegal were fantastic. It was a long process years due to unforeseen problems and wasn't cheap however, cheap was not the goal. The goal is to get a decision that is the most beneficial to you and your family and thats what I received. Some cases are more complex than others and complexity drives up the cost mine was like a Rubiks Dodecahedron. Overall the communication was a 10. I never felt like I was in the dark. The decision I got was a 9/10 sometimes you have to negotiate. I also used Rick for a trust and that was a much less arduous journey.

During an extremely emotional custody battle regarding my young daughter ,I was so lucky to find the law office of Rick Banks . I had a wonderful outcome and the office worked extremely hard with a short notice . Michele was amazing and I highly recommend her in easing your mind during a time of need . She was amazing from start to finish. Rick was extremely knowledgable and helped me come up with a vistation plan that suited my daughters needs . It was a win/win for everyone involved . I was referred to Mr. Banks from a co-worker who had used him recently. At first I was a little concerned because he seemed like too much of a nice guy to be an effective divorce attorney. I was pleasantly surprised when we went into court and Mr. Banks ripped my ex a new one!! Not only was I able to get full custody of my kids, but Mr. Banks convinced the judge that my ex should only get supervised visits because of how he had been acting. Bottom line: don't be worried about Mr. Banks' easy going demeanor when you first meet him, because if you have to go to court, he's the guy you want on your side.

It was great to deal with Rick and his staff. The divorce process itself was extremely strong and emotional, but having Rick gave me the confidence that I would get everything I deserved and needed to move on with my life. After 9 months of back and forth non-sense from my ex and his attorney, he was finally able to get them to settle in court, before even going to trial. Not only did I get everything I wanted in my divorce settlement, but saved me the extra money by not having to prepare and go to trial. Paul helped me with a recurring case against an ex who had deep pockets and profound malice. He very competently moved my file through a series of motions and delaying tactics on her part, coordinating the whole with my counsel in yet another jurisdiction. You can rely on him to be the voice of legal reason, both for enforcement and child custody. Paul isn't cheap but you get what you pay for, and I got first-class service. When I hired Mr. Cavin I had been trying to battle for myself in court trying to get back four children that had wrongfully been taken away. My Ex earned over $100,000 a year and I had no earnings. He had hired a lawyer and had representation while I had tried to defend myself. I lost everything without a lawyer. I had been a homemaker for 9 years and he emptied our bank accounts leaving me barefoot and homeless. He got a restraining order that kicked me out of the house, despite the fact he knocked me out in my home, claiming I was unconscious because I was drunk. I was in jail for 19 days until all charges were dismissed by a Judge at the first hearing. But my Ex and his attorney concealed that from the Family Court and got 100% custody. When I first contacted Mr. Cavin I didn’t have the funds to hire him, but he talked with me on the phone for 90 minutes trying to encourage and educate me anyway. A few months later I borrowed the money and that was when my life turned around. I now have my children half the time, and I am working on getting full custody. I hadn’t seen my children for almost two years when Mr. Cavin and I worked together and gathered the evidence to prove I had been set up on a false Domestic Violence charge by my husband. The evidence showed the Judge he was a liar and I now have three days every week with my 4 children. Mr. Cavin also got the bogus restraining order dismissed and got me child support and alimony that had been withheld for 2 years. It is retroactive, and my Ex owes me thousands, AND was ordered to pay my attorney’s fees. Mr. Cavin and his staff handled my case with the utmost professional attention. As a client I feel that had it not been for Mr. Cavin I would never have been believed by the Court. Mr. Cavin truly has been my champion fighting a battle for me that only he could have won. The true care and concern I have received from Mr. Cavin has extended beyond my case and the court room. During my case I graduated from college. Mr. Cavin and his wife surprised me at my dinner with gifts for myself and my 4 children Mr. Cavin had gotten a court order that they be present for my college graduation despite my Ex’s opposition. My case has been in the process for two and a half years. It is not over as we are now dealing with custody evaluations. Mr Cavin advertises himself as being well known by court staff and he is right, everybody knows him. For more information look him up before you hire him. I didn’t. As a lawyer, this is my experience - he charged me for every little conversation we had. Even the free consultation is only for half an hour, after that clock is running. If you text or email you get charged, inclu for all personal conversations about his health. What you pay for retainer is nothing compare to what comes after - sometimes he will not answer phone calls, mail, email for weeks. Court date would approach and he would be no where to find. Imagine if you have something important coming up, like for example the custody of your child and you need to file papers but you can get a hold of your lawyer. His wife is the office assistant/manager and they both get sick together ( that’s what I been told once) and don’t answer any of their phones -he purposely asked the court that we come back for another hearing after I asked him not too. I was ok with what the court ordered. He told me that he is the lawyer and I can’t tell him what to do. But by coming to court again I had to pay him a big lump of money so it benefited him. - most judges don’t like him. So if the judge doesn’t like your lawyer think of how your case may turn out. -he is not a great public speaker and worse he did not come prepared. When judge asked him to summarize what we asked he was not able to do so. - I just got another bill from him and realized that there were charges in there that I paid long time ago. I never kept track of things. So if you decide to go at him, keep track of times you talk and charges in the bill to make sure you are not overcharged. This is my experience with Mr Cavin

In America, we are innocent until being proven guilty. It has been over five years and this man still has not been prosecuted. Why do you think that is? Your comments are incorrect. You do not know the merits of the case, therefore your flippant remarks are not only guesswork but are libelous. You should be cautious about what you say, especially in writing. Working with Brianna and Jacob Benguerel was a real pleasure. I came in with a problem of the ex-husband not wanting to pay me money he owed me from that sale of a property and they were able to not only get me the money that was owed to me but able to put a lien on the house that he was trying to sell in order to get that money. The situation was very time sensitive and they worked really hard to make sure that I got what I needed. Their attention to detail as well as their professionalism were greatly appreciated. Brianna was very personable and was always there to calm my anxiety as well as answer any questions that I had. They definitely made the process that I was so terrified of a lot easier. Where do I begin? Separations in itself can be not only stressful, exhausting and embarrassing to say the least! But then having to deal with an unnecessary battle over children who innocently have no say in any of it. I was almost stripped away from time with my best friend.. my son, 7 years of age who knew nothing but being by his fathers side all his life. And despite what drama, bickering and false accusations followed from a nasty separation and bitterness, I have Jacob from Family Law to thank for going above and beyond to make sure my son still had his father in his life. It was a circus show of a ridiculously uncalled for conflict on the other party’s behalf, but in the end morality, humanity and due diligence From Jacob favored my fight for my son. I recently retained San Joaquin Family Law to represent me in a custody modification. Mr. Bengueral was very helpful in answering any questions I may have had and representing me in our current case. The paralegal, Breanna, was great in answering any questions I had, returning phone calls, and providing me the most up to date information. IHI was not 100% thrilled with the outcome, however due to Covid-19, I had my court date via video conference and it made it a bit difficult to discuss with Me. Bengueral during the hearing to address other issues the previous party had not brought up before this. I do understand this is not his fault and would choose him to represent me again in the future if necessary.
