It was a pleasure working with Braunstein LAW, APC on my divorce. We had a consensual divorce, uncontested. However, we also had an unusual custom alimony arrangement to make it so. Alana made the process no fuzz, and made it within the deadline to still get the old tax laws. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that my anxiety early on in the process was high, and it sometimes felt that responsiveness did not match my anxiety. However, in hindsight, I think this was more my problem than theirs. It all was done such as to be maximally efficient, and minimally waste my or their time. I'd go back to them if I had another legal issue.

Stay away from this Attorney !!!! I swear, this is the worst attorney I have ever dealt with. I hired Sami for my divorce case since June 2020 as he recommended by Yelp in San Diego area. From that time until now (May 2021) Sami has done nothing except submit the divorce papers in the court since June. I'm contacting him periodically by phone and email to inquire about what he is doing for the case, but without any response !!! Unfortunately, a whole year has been wasted for nothing!! I paid him a flat fee amount of $2,435 for nothing !! Again, don't lose your money and time. Don't hire this guy. I just want to comment on your reply to my review. Would you please explain which tasks you have completed? You do nothing!!!! You charged a flat fee for nothing, if you did something please explain it. Just check your email and phone and see how many emails and calls without any responses!!! Is that your professionalism to deal with your clients? Have you asked me for extra fee and I refused? You just let me wait for a whole year for nothing. I hired another attorney, she completed all the requirements and she got the trail within one month only!! Once again, you charged me the fees for nothing you did !!!

This review is really long over due. But I feel like I should write it in order to help others in search for a good attorney, just like I was 2 years ago. Sami is a great attorney, very knowledgable, professional, honest and efficient. He won't sugar coat or give you just the unswear you want to hear, but he is honest and compassionate. He empathizes with his clients. Divorcing was the hardest experience in my life. It was a difficult divorce and Sami was able to make it less stressful with his knowledge and personality. He has a way to calm things down. While lots of attorneys out there will try to escalate the conflicts in order to make more money, Sami will try to calm things down in order to solve the conflicts easier. Thank you Sami.

I reached out to the Sachdev legal group for resolving a messy situation. Any situation that requires you to hire attorneys is an emotionally charged situation making it challenging to see clearly. The paperwork is daunting and it takes time to understand the terms. My case was no exception at the very least. While Andrella and Puja handled the case and often guided me. Eloisa was my interface into the firm. She deftly managed my paper work and answered all my never ending questions. Eloisa translated legal terminology and requirements in simple terms. I cannot say enough good things about John Griffith and this law firm. Each person i interacted with was responsive, intelligent, thoughtful and professional. Attorney Griffith worked very hard to avoid additional litigation, find a solution that minimized time and court involvement and got an amicable settlement. I was in a high conflict custody battle that left me in complete disarray. After hiring another "great" attorney who completely failed me, I found Pierre and Rebecca. Lifesavers would be an understatement. I recently discovered Tammy and her Tuesday night support group through Meet Up, and regret not having connected with her much earlier in our divorce process! No matter how you look at it, going through a divorce is expensive - even if mediation is your ticket through. I've been to see my $450/an hour attorney several times in the process, my husband has seen his the same number of times at the same cost, and we have seen our mediator - at the same cost - several times - all of which were at least 2-3 hours! Each time I've met with my attorney, or our mediator, it's been difficult for me to keep up to understand this completely foreign language while watching the $$$ signs multiplying in these meetings. Each time, I have walked out more confused and with more questions and feeling more overwhelmed than when I walked in, even after doing the research, talking to friends, and doing everything I know possible to be prepared for the meetings. Tammy is a "real person" who speaks my language, and has been able to patiently, clearly, explain the legal documents and procedures in a very chill, relaxed manner and environment. She runs the group from 6-7:30, but has never seemed to care if our group is still there much later, her only interest is that we understand and are empowered to face our next meetings, or court dates. She is extremely well versed on the financial aspects of the divorce process! I love that she encourages us to remember what's really important in the process, and what is not - fighting for every last dime is not going to make things easier, but understanding how to compromise and why it's important - for the sake of the kids, and/or the peace with the ex spouse and her/his family is what will matter most going forward. Her patience is incredible as I've observed how she meets each person who comes in where they are - no matter how emotionally charged - with the facts, the perspective, and the tools/verbiage, to get through the process as peacefully, and as inexpensively as possible. I hesitate to point out that she charges nothing for these meetings, because it's really difficult for me to wrap my brain around that in this arena where every moment of time is billable. She cares, she sincerely wants to help us out, and she wants as many people to know about what she can offer as possible. With that said, she and her husband, a family law attorney, do mediation for couples together, and of course, they welcome the business. I so wish I had known about them before we got into the process, and would have used them as a team to mediate for us because they have a very succinct, efficient process they use, and have found to be successful for their clients. Thank you Tammy - you really are a gem!

I absolutely recommend Yvonne Rizzo for family legal services!! With an already burdening schedule, I was in and out of court with my children's mother consistently. Repeated motions for ridiculousness. My attempt was to be reasonable. However, after a completely false narrative and even a restraining order I felt as the court would believe anything they were told. I highly recommend Yvonne Rizzo Family Law Attorney to anyone not being treated fairly in the courtroom and in need of Legal Representation. I have been going through family law for a year now with 9 months of no legal representation. Eventhough I was no threat to my child and the mother is an alcoholic with prior DUI's just got arrested for a DUI, the court granted her full sole and physical custody and for me 10% visitation with 0% sole legal or physical custody. For the first 9 months I was constantly getting mistreated in the courtroom eventhough there were hard evidence of proof and proof of lies against the opposing party due to a bias judge. Out of the 9 months the mother of my child withheld my daughter from me for 5 months. During the 5 months I filed 3 ex-parte hearings due to visitation violation of court orders and safety concerns with proof and still got dismissed, 1 hearing was cancelled and not even heard by the judge stating it's " Not an emergency". Since i hired Atty. Rizzo, not only was I able to be heard without being turned away but she was able to get me visitations with my daughter again after 5 months but with more time and days with overnights too. I now have 35% visitation with 4-5 days every week with my daughter and looks to get better from here on. Thank you Mrs. Rizzo.

I have used this firm three times in 10 years. Five stars each time. Divorce in 2010 with David representing me, then a property dispute with my ex in 2016 that worked out very favorably for me, and finally in helping me with a prenup (no jokes about not learning my lesson). Kyle is an easy going "surfer dude" who knows his stuff. When my fiance's lawyer wanted to add language at the last minute, he made a very reasonable and convincing argument (in front of that other lawyer) that was a slam dunk for my side. I hope I never need their services again but I would definitely recommend them. If you hire them, they are on your side and not trying to gouge you with superfluous "lawyer" billings.

After calling three or more other family law attorneys, and after explaining my situation, their response was "that my situation was one that they were not familiar with"or as one put it "would not know where to start", I was very relieved to have found Wilkinson & Finkbeiner. From the moment of my first call to the friendly and knowledgeable office person, who was able to understand my unique situation and also explained that Mr. Wilkinson had just recently had a case similar to mine, told me she was confident that he could help. Me and my husband were served papers from my 11 year old daughters father who had NEVER been involved with her EVER, but in between stints in prison, all of a sudden wanted custody and visitation. Went to court 3 times, due to him being arrested numerous times during the court proceedings. Finally we decided to get a lawyer to stop playing these games. We met Scott, and IMMEDIATELY knew we picked the right lawyer!! He ABSOLUTELY killed it in court, and actually got his RIGHTS TERMINATED......which in California is extremely difficult. When I knew divorce was imminent, I had a recommendation from a parent at my child's school to sit down with Shana. I hired Shana based upon the initial meeting and the very first hearing, Shana all but demanded I take my wife at the time up on her offer to reconciliate. I knew this was a trap, merely to get a restraining order I had filed dropped. As I predicted, my X immediately filed for divorce upon me dropping the restraining order. There seemed to be zero prior planning done for my multiple hearings. Shana often misspoke, and brushed off procedural errors by the court initially, that inevitably led to me firing her as my attorney. I would get the opposing party agreeing to sign a custody agreement, and Shana would not send the documents requiring signatures. There were always excuses as to her lack of initiative and timeliness. Shana always made sure to collect her money in a very timely manner, which would make sense if she produced results. My children were abducted by their mother and fled the state as a result of Shana not getting a judges signature on our custody agreement, that I negotiated with my X... not Shana. My X had an attorney that would write her declarations. I had to write my own declarations, and demand she begin writing them based on her fees. I represented myself in NC and secured full custody myself. I have been legally separated for a year and 4 months. I had my X agree to sign a divorce agreement, then spent months begging Shana to send the document. Then she attempted to say I was unclear in my requests. Honestly I liked Shana, and ignored everyone's advice to drop her early on. Simply because of hearing her on the phone with her daughter after court one day, she had her pull over so they could pray together, her daughter was distraught about something. Being a Christian, I chose to stick with her. My major complaint is how much money Shana was given, and how few results 35K yielded. I'm filing a complaint and seeking reimbursement. I had 4 lawyers in 4 different states during these hellish past two years. Shana was the highest paid, and yielded the fewest victories or results.
