There is a saying in India “A Man scared about snake and went to hide in tiger cave and tiger ate him”. That’s what happened to me, one of the stupidest things I did in 5 years. It costed me $4800 just to know, she doesn’t have good ethics on Billing. I decided to appear for myself, just don’t want to lose everything I have to her. If I lose, I decided to lose to my Ex. Instead, Because she might spend for kids. I am not going to talk about Mrs. Moscardini work, or talent, because we were not even there. The only court work was done is Substitute of attorney to add her and remove her as legal counsel. And responded Child support saying “we don’t agree the amount”. I went to her because of 5 star review rating, I missed the point it was just 5 people, when someone handled 100s of cases obliviously going to get at least 6, 5 star rating. Like shooting target blind folded will give you at least 5 bulls eye. People are scared to put negative review on attorneys, because they are scared, what if they do something to them or other attorneys refuse to take them because of that. I don't care anymore. If she read this review, she knows who i am. This is my story, my divorce was already completed and it was already effective when I went to Mrs.Moscardini. I needed help for child support, my Ex.wife moved India with kids and demanding high child support even though the cost of living there is one 10th of cost of living here. That’s the only reason I wanted attorney to reduce child payment. Good thing about her, she is more like therapist, lot of patient. Bad thing, super hungry for money may be she is planning for retirement or family financial issue, it doesn’t matter how much retainer you pay, you will not get your retainer. There will be lot of redundant, duplicate work. Unnecessary reviews, stalling meeting for long. For example all I had to go there to sign document from child support to refuse proposed amount.it costed $1200, after her solo review for an hour (there was nothing there to review to say no), It took another 1 hour 20 minutes, this including, walking other rooms few times, She going to bath room for 15 mins, she opens law book and turn page to show you some penal code. Talk about other Client...stalling…stalling…stalling.. There is no paralegal, she will do pretty much everything, Calculation, form filling, any document related stuffs (other than mailing or Photocopying). You pay for everything in the rate $500/hour. If you call the office number, if she pick the phone, you are screwed, you might just want to know some status of mail or something. Most email for broken into lot of single question emails, you will respond with single answer, so she can charge for every email she send and read, I was even charged for email with just “Thank you’. And also was charged for response email “you are welcome”. And lot of emails she did’t even read, If I mention “I sent it to you email while ago”, she will say “Okey I will check”. But i was already charged for that. If comes to court work. She will charge from the time she leave the house to reach back the house. and minimum 4 hours. I don’t know how far she lives from court. that means for every court day you will pay $2500+. If there is too much traffic you are screwed. If your case is clean, just appear for yourself, if there is a complication, find a attorney little away from retirement, who is trying to build reputation. If you are super rich, don’t care about money, you do whatever you want.

About six months ago my life turned upside down for the worst due to some family issues. I've never needed to hire an attorney to help me fight for my life back and I didn't even know where to begin looking for one. A friend of mine recommended The Law Offices of Nancy Lara-Moscardini located in Burlingame, CA. Because a temporary restraining and move out order were issued, things began to move very quickly. I called the office and spoke with Nancy who gave me advice immediately. After that I set up my first free consultation. When I met Nancy I was a wreck. Nancy informed what the process was like in family Court and explained what our approach was going to be. After leaving Nancy's office I felt that I had a fighting chance and that things just might be okay. Nancy, her son Alex, and her entire office have been nothing but kind, caring, understanding, hard working, and empathetic. Their communication skills and strategic methods were amazing. I had no idea where to go for a divorce attorney and feel so lucky to have come across Kim Madigan. She is very professional and knowledgeable and effectively negotiated on my behalf on complex issues in my divorce in the areas of custody, visitation, and spousal/child support. Doesn't sound too complex at first glance, but we were dealing with everything from the ex insisting I have zero custody and even trying to leave the state with our son, to trying to involve our son in the conflicts which was not good. All issues were resolved without having to go to court. I felt like everything Kim was doing for me she has already done though, and she was clearly a step ahead of the opposing attorneys. Kim also set clear expectations with me up front and helped me understand the process before we embarked on it, and helped structure a custody proposal in a way that works with my busy work/travel schedule. Long story short my son is happy with the outcome and I spend even more time with him nowadays, compared to the time before I moved out, and that is the most important thing. Also Kim is so pleasant, compassionate, and easy to talk with and that helped greatly during this tough time. What also helped was how easy it was to work with this firm, they get things in writing and processed extremely quickly and the operation is modern and paperless. They have a great paralegal Annette and she helped a lot too. Highly recommend this firm if the need arises.

If you are looking for an honest, trustworthy, and passionate attorney to represent you, I highly recommend Nancy Martinez. Nancy was my attorney but she is more like my daughter! When I came to Nancy, I was frustrated and overwhelmed with the local county government that was trying to take a Conservatorship over my finances and person and tell me what to do. I repeatedly told the county to shove off but they kept harassing me. When they did file a case against me, I went to Nancy and told Nancy what was happening and how fearful I was about the county meddling into my private affairs. Even though Conservatorships were not her area of practice, she patiently listened to me, consoled and comforted me, and assured me she will do everything possible for me. Montgomery Paisano concluded my divorce for me in MAY2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic. He was responsive and always looking out for me. He recommended changes to the draft Marriage Settlement Agreement, which we accepted, and the Agreement was accepted without comment by the Family Court. I am severing ties with peninsula law group montgomery pisano said it would cost $2,500.00, alj. I have to go to sup., alj, misrepresentation bar, state bar, supr. I would like all the files sent to me bar said to go to fee arbitration, remed, was supposed to yong won kim, hamed akhavein correct evf's, 60 and 40 hours. I have had persons reported to patrol services. I filed a police report, evf's to correct were theft and clothes, your responsibility supposed to be corrected wasn't.

I was so relieved to have the calm, structured and supportive mediation and guidance of Gerard while navigating the extremely emotional and unsettling business of Separation and Divorce after a 20 year marriage. Do not waste your time and money here. They have high hourly rates. Appear to court late and ask for documents the night before. Very unprepared. Different lawyer from their firm appears at the court so keeps changing. The new attorney appearing barely knows what is going on. Not knowledgeable in the custody subject. The bill has charges incorrect. They charge for every minute and second you speak to them.plus add an assitional 20 extra on top. Make sure you check and track the times you talk and reach out to them as they will over charge you if you do not check. They advise you to do something and at court they do not tell the judge they advised you to do so. Beware. They seem nice at first but until they take your money.. Do not hire their services.

Do not take your divorce to this firm. My family has spent a lot of money for my case. And the bills are padded. Outrageous fees to feed this family and on child custody support cases; they are not aggressive or concerned about the spouse and children that have not had received back support payments . Or if they have shelter and or food. Or if they’re power has been shut off.emails at times are not answered in a timely manner and they bill for every email even if is regarding follow up on the same issue. They bill for each text outrageously. I say hey dead beats dads if you want someone o n your side hire these guys.

FABULOUS!!!!! I called the Moreno Family Law firm TWO DAYS before my hearing/trial and Michael Moreno took my case without any hesitation. I had a civil harassment restraining order pending against me that occurred in the workplace and I was so scared to go to court since the last time I went I couldn’t even speak to the Judge without shaking. The Opposing Party was a bully and I was frightened that if I had a restraining order granted against me it would ruin my career forever. Michael Moreno asked that I drop off the paperwork ONE DAY before the trial and he showed up prepared, looked sharp and fought for me like I had been his client for years! The judge did not want to dismiss the restraining order against me and Michael had an intellectual and persuasive response to every position the Judge made. Even when the judge disagreed with him he KEPT FIGHTING FOR ME and making new arguments that slowly started to change the Judge’s mind. Michael didn’t give up until he was able to successfully change the judge’s mind and WE WON!!! The judge dismissed the restraining order against me and I was able to walk away from the court house with NOTHING pending against me. I truly believe that the universe was in my favor when I found The Moreno Family Law firm to help me with this civil harassment restraining order (work place harassment). THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I would not hesitate to use them again or refer them to friends and family. Divorce and marriage are life changing events and it would be foolish not to get the best counsel available. Hoover Krepelka provided free counsel that helped friends of mine to do the right thing when they got married; and now both are fully aware of the contract they entered in together. I worked with Jim Hoover and his team for over 2 years. At first I felt very well represented. I ended up settling with my ex of an 18 yr marriage for 1/2 of what he made in one year. The Hoover team billed me 1/4 of that amount. My Jr attorney suddenly left the firm with no parting words, I received a letter. I was assigned a new attorney and was billed even more. I tried to stop the litigation because of the fees, but Hoover team would not respond and kept litigation going. When I tried to hire a new attorney, I was warned by many in the field that Hoover's team has this reputation.

Sean is a EXCELLENT attorney. I interviewed several family law attorneys and he was by far the best. I was so relieved that I was able to retain him, he has never steered me wrong. He knows several approaches on how to go about winning your case. It depends on your style and what you want. He is able to be the lawyer you need. LAW: Sean is an expert in family law. There are so many times when my ex's counsel didn't know the law or was trying to do something shady, and Sean was spot on. He makes sure that the judge and other attorney's do the right thing. I worked with Sean over my divorce, and he made a painful time far less painful. My separation from my ex became a bit acrimonious as we argued over money and property, but Sean kept my eye on the ball and led me through everything in a manner that was fair and honest. It was very important to me that I never had the feeling that I was "getting over" on my ex, nor that I was being taken advantage of, and Sean fit the bill for this perfectly. Sean knows California divorce law really well, and in the situations where he might not know something exactly, he does't make something up; rather, he pauses and actually finds out what the right answer is. He and his paralegal, Aaron, are really well organized, which was key to moving things through quickly and so that I didn't have to duplicate or add to my efforts. Whenever I called or came in to his office, Sean had all documentation at his fingertips (this is a tip of the hat to Aaron) and he had all germane topics in the barrel, ready to fire them off, one by one. This good organization saved me money. The last thing is about Sean's character: He acts almost like an arbiter, rather than the stereotypical divorce lawyer that we all see in the movies. He's kind and patient, and communicates with empathy; he doesn't show bravado; he knew that what I was going through wasn't easy, and he respected that; he doesn't cut corners, but he doesn't waste time. Since the moment my divorce started I have worked with Sean. Two times I had to do modifications to my parental agreement and Sean helped me on every occasion always looking for the best interest of my daughter and me. He also looked for ways that could be beneficial for me in terms of not over spending money. He is also fast responding to emails and calls. On one occasion, prior to my meeting with the mediator and my ex at 9:00AM, he called me at 8:30AM to make sure I was ok for the meeting and to reassure me that things were going to turn on my favor if I followed his advice. They turned every rock over so no surprises happened and gave me the best quality service and attention with the matter at hand. Again I cant thank them enough for what they got me through and the way they did it.

Unfortunately, Nicole scrambled at the last minute to prepare for my big day. I showed up to court, and she failed to submit my statement on time for the judge to go over our case. Even OC from a different county submitted the week before. Then she told me after the botched court date all her revelations, which was not helpful at all after the fact. After an embarrassing train wreck of a court date, I switched to a new lawyer who was able to settle my case swiftly, empathetically, professionally - without having to go back to court. Literally, achieved nothing with Nicole except for negatively impacting my case. It's a shame that I threw away so much money that could have gone towards my kid when we could have settled out of court.

Nicole Aeschleman and her office were cautious and swift with all of our legal issues. She handled everything with ethics and were very honest. I respect that in a law firm.
