I’ve used Linda Garrett 3 or 4 times now for her coaching calls and each and every time she lays out exactly what is needed and what I need to do for my next step in my case. She gives honest, true, professional opinions on your situation and always makes it relatable and explains it in a way you can easily understand. I also love the fact that if she feels you can do this case on your own, she will suggest that you just do a coaching call instead of retaining her. Which, is not usual for a lawyer, especially for one in such high demand as her.

Ms. Garret was very responsive and could get an appointment very quickly. Out of all the attorneys I’ve dealt with over the last 8 years she was finally an honest and trustworthy person. She looks out for her clients best interest and is not just trying to take their money. She really wants her clients to succeed and be prepared for any outcome. She has excellent advice for all the varieties of situations that can happen! She helped me get through a very hard time and gave me the best advice and coaching that I’ve ever received in family law. After a horrific 8 years of custody battles and dealing with the court systems I can say a big Thank You to Ms. Garrets coaching! My heart is so happy right now it could burst right now. I have waited 4 long years and my twin daughters are due in a few days. I started thinking about all of the people that made this happen and how wonderful my experience was and I can not recommend Family Formation more. The team there takes care of everything and everyone. They are always there to answer questions, you feel safe, and you feel taken care of from a-z. There is a bit of magic to their screening process (I used a surrogate and she is like family to me now) and they knew from day one that we would feel this way in the end!

I cannot begin to tell you how terrible my experience was with Lisa Mendes. It was my 1st time hiring an attorney and I cried after the case was over and felt so helpless and hopeless. She knew I was vulnerable and didn’t know anything about court or family law. These are people who are supposed to help you fight your case. I lost my case and to make matters worse, there was a conflict of interest with the opposing attorney. Apparently they knew each other. Please make sure you have a good sense of feeling about your attorney before paying them all your savings. MaKe sure all your questions and concerns are answered and not rushed. Are they truly explaining the case to you for you to understand? There’s a lot of legal lingo you won’t know but this should be explained, if you have a good attorney???? Do they really have your best interest at heart? Unfortunately in my case, I was doomed to begin with.

for not even 2 months of work on my case, $22500 in fees. They made is seem like they did so much work and it was such a basic case. Charged for things double triple times, because none of them even knew the status of my case at any time. Even opposing counsel mentioned they had know idea what they were doing especially with billing. Got no retainer back which I thought was illegal?? Also got charged for trust account replenishment which is NOT a bill I thought it was for work not yet done ?? Gave horrible legal advice which would have made a huge difference in my case if I listened to them. So glad i let them go

I don’t even know where to start here. I came to this law firm from a cheap attorney who was constantly messing up but luckily the person taking me to court had no case so I would win but never because of the attorney. When I was looking for a new firm I had a free consultation with Vanessa and after speaking to many others Vanessa really stood out with compassion and a professional caring attitude. When my court case went to family court months later i immediately thought of this firm. When I called to book Vanessa she was all booked up after some disappointment I was told that there is a whole team here and another attorney was available... Sara Driesen took my case and she was beyond amazing! She was a fighter in court... and my personal therapist haha. I can’t express how important Sara has been to my children and myself and everything we went after we got in court! Far exceeded what I thought was possible. My kids don’t have to deal with the issues they were put through for so long. Sara also helped me come up with payment arrangements when court started to stretch out, not to the fault of Sara but to a compulsive liar we were dealing with in court. I had a great job at a architectural firm and unfortunately the pandemic left me strapped financially Sara was always understanding. Lawyers are expensive and often court stretches longer than expected and you should be prepared for that.... just a tip. I will say that the billing was a bit inconsistent in terms of when I was receiving statements this could be the pandemic and the like and sometimes reading the bill was confusing but after a quick email they did great explaining it and helping me understand what I was looking at. Sara, Molly, Brianna, and daisy are all amazing these ladies are all responsible and great at communicating and I felt like I had an army by my side I love and thank you all! You all helped in more ways than you know. I am forever grateful.

I will start by saying that I never give bad reviews for a restaurant or really any services. I don’t believe in that as you never know what is going on with someone Individually or the owners trying to make a living. Being that this involves my children and other families that may be choosing Vanessa, I am compelled to review. I gave $5,000 and the team blew thru it by reviewing basic items for a divorce/family Case I was ABOUT to embark on. I didn’t even start officially in court. I saw the 5 stars and knew it was $450/hr so I thought “wow she must be good.” It was no different than if I paid $50/hr to a no name. She doesn’t care about the children, I can tell you that. It’s a job to her and wow does she charge for it. I got my small amount of retainer left and moving on. I am one of several that had similar experiences as me with her. Trust your intuition when choosing a lawyer for something as important as your babies. Don’t go by reviews or hourly rate.

Don’t hire a pregnant lawyer. I am a mother and I thought her maternal status would mean her understanding. What is actually did was she rushed through my case at the end because it was taking longer than she expected it would and was going to, and might interfere with her taking off for maternity leave as she was planning -instead of having another lawyer at her firm finish the job in a professional mannor. I got screwed over since I was self employed, she didn’t fight for the court to allow me to use my tax deductions (necessary costs of licensing and expenses to run a contacting business) these are allowed/deductables on my tax returns, and so the other attourney not wanting them allowed they increased my income by 40% so as much as the fathers who has no overhead expenses because he is an employee. So she didn’t press for it, the court added back necessary expenses and as a result I was granted only $180. Child support for my 2 young kids. This barely pays for a cell phone, a pair of shoes or any afterschool class for two kids. I referred a friend before my case was finished unfortunately-before knowing how awful a lawyer Erin is... My friends case was won because ge was abusive to their child. Father was ordered by court to pay the lawyers fees. Well my friend had already paid them because it’s required to be pais as you go along. So Levine Law Firm told her their policy is they don’t just give her back her money until After they collect it from the other party! He wasn’t even ordered to pay as much as she was to them-they don’t pay her back even monthly the court fees he’s paying back! He stopped paying and now they told her she has to take him to court again to get him to pay the court ordered lawyers fees (to get her money back from them once payments are completed) Wait- woukdn’t that be their job to collect payment from him themself, abd sue him themself if he didn’t follow the courts order to pay them? They still have not given my friend back her money, even for the part of the total bill they did get payment from the father. Levine Law Firm and Erin Levine are crooks and horrible lawyers working together with Erin.

I retained Levine Family Law Group to help me with a domestic matter that needed clearing up, from several years ago. I found the process to be easy, thorough, and professional. Monica Espinosa represented me and she was engaged, interested, compassionate, and intensely understanding of my situation. Throughout the entire process, which was approximately six months, one initial "in person" meeting was all that was required. After that, communication consisted of email and an occasional phone call - Monica was extremely responsive and made the process that much easier. Erin recommended working with and highlighted one of the most unethical, unprofessional, ineffective, and psychotic family therapists in the Bay Area, Alison Urdan, who is a nightmare to work with, devastating families and children, while carrying out her own profit driven agenda. She manufactures negative characterizations and works to give sole legal custody to fathers, especially in cases involving paternal domestic violence and abuses. Alison is not anything worth trusting your children or family to. Incredibly disappointing to see Erin blindly sell Alison on her website despite numerous attempts to let Erin know of Alison’s consistent history of wrong doing and illegal and unethical conduct.

Randy was nothing short of amazing and inspiring. He took our case in the middle of a trial. Our lawyer at the time did not have the "chops" so to speak for what was a very contentious guardianship trial. We needed someone who could hit the ground running and Randy did not disappoint. He has a keen ability to quickly familiarize himself with the facts of the case and zero in on the crucial elements. Watching him in action almost makes we want to be a lawyer. On meeting Randy with a box full of legal papers and 7 years of battles in a very ugly and time consuming divorce case, I knew I was for once in the right place. Randy took on the complexity of the case now at the appeals court, worked his legal knowledge together with his partner, they both worked relentlessly on my case to prepare responses etc etc. They had everything spot on in regards to my case and the law. After years of being taken to court by my ex and going through numerous attorneys who did nothing for me but take my money, I came across Christina Sherman through a random google search. What drew me in was her years of experience within the Marin County Court system and her desire to support woman's issues. Upon first contact I immediately felt heard. She asked pertinent questions and I felt she genuinely cared about my situation and wanted to help. Christina and her staff handled everything in a timely matter, they gave me great advice (even when I didn't like it) and they played hardball when needed. The good part: Named partners are great, front office staff is great. The firm got me through my (uncontested) divorce in under 12 months without any major hiccups. Unfortunately the lawyer who actually worked on my divorce was not as good at communication or execution. Emails would sometimes go unanswered, calls were never returned, and requested copies of documents were never provided. In the end we ended up obtaining and filing some of the final paperwork ourselves rather than continue to deal with the associate.

Brent took care of my relatively straight forward divorce case. He made a great impression at the consultation meeting but unfortunately, I feel like I paid a premium price when I was not expecting mediocre service. After my payment was submitted, Brent’s communication made me feel like my case was not a priority and it was all about the money. I struggled to get his response for basic answers or explanations and I ended up having to pay more than expected and agreed upon. Overall, very disappointed, and I would not choose to work with him ever again.

I came to Gerard at a really rough time-- the divorce of a 16-year long marriage (plus 2 years of being together prior) with two kids still school age-- and I was in terrible shape. Gerard was immediately helpful and comforting, with a friendly presence that had me feeling better right away. His experience and knowledge made the process smooth and successful. He is honest and transparent in explaining scheduling, cost, and likely outcomes, and he has great expertise in advising and negotiating. Gerard is an excellent communicator who keeps great organized notes, grasping the BIG PICTURE, with attention to details - arriving at a settlement or legal agreement that supports the client's needs. Services including documents and online court submissions with email communication are a real plus to save on physical meetings if the client is living outside of the Bay Area. The office and conference room are very nice. Free parking in the rear is always available and a real plus. Gerard was a fantastic adviser to me with a divorce. His advice - always excellent, calming at times, and punctual. I will use him if ever I need future legal assistance.

I was so relieved to have the calm, structured and supportive mediation and guidance of Gerard while navigating the extremely emotional and unsettling business of Separation and Divorce after a 20 year marriage.
