I’ve used Linda Garrett 3 or 4 times now for her coaching calls and each and every time she lays out exactly what is needed and what I need to do for my next step in my case. She gives honest, true, professional opinions on your situation and always makes it relatable and explains it in a way you can easily understand. I also love the fact that if she feels you can do this case on your own, she will suggest that you just do a coaching call instead of retaining her. Which, is not usual for a lawyer, especially for one in such high demand as her.

Ms. Garret was very responsive and could get an appointment very quickly. Out of all the attorneys I’ve dealt with over the last 8 years she was finally an honest and trustworthy person. She looks out for her clients best interest and is not just trying to take their money. She really wants her clients to succeed and be prepared for any outcome. She has excellent advice for all the varieties of situations that can happen! She helped me get through a very hard time and gave me the best advice and coaching that I’ve ever received in family law. After a horrific 8 years of custody battles and dealing with the court systems I can say a big Thank You to Ms. Garrets coaching! That she really helped me see things in a different perspective and made a huge impact on hopefully never seeing a court room again! I highly would recommend her coaching services if you cannot afford to retain an attorney or just need some Family Law legal advice.

We are very pleased with Sarah Orr. She guided us through a very difficult guardianship issue for our grandsons. The issue took more than a year to unfold. She was there, on time, fully informed, and very friendly yet professional. Sarah helped us see the most important underlying issues, and she told us clearly when she thought we were off base or had unrealistic expectations. She was willing to do what we wanted, while providing relevant guidance on how the system works; something we knew nothing about. My ex-husband found her online to serve as a mediator for our divorce. I wish we had gone with another attorney. Not only was she horrible as an attorney but she's unreliable and very openly rude. She told my husband at the time that I was out to get every penny I could out of my husband and she said this while I was present. She also kept telling us that she would have certain things ready by a certain date but never followed through on it. We ended up firing her half way through our meditation process because she said she didn't know when things were going to get done. This is the person who initially said she had a lot of time to handle our case right away but once we paid her a retainer, all of a sudden, she got super busy and always had to go to court. So, I ended up picking up from where she left off and finishing it myself. One of the worst attorneys I have ever dealt with.

I called them during COVID 19 since I was exploring the divorce and wanted to check the best option. I did talk to them and expressed them I would try get it accomplished best way. Somehow they said they won't process my case... They should consider difference in in-person and phone communication...

How can TIFFANY EVEY your senior paralegal and office manager rate you 5 stars? Isn’t that a conflict of interest? ~ Horrible experience with Pakpour. I’m so disappointed as I expected much from an attorney than he is able to provide. His paralegal really pushed for him and reassured me Brian has the capability to handle my case - unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.

Mr. Pakpour is honest and reliable. I chose him to be my lawyer on a custody case. He explained thoroughly what he was going to do, the court process and his fees. If I needed a lawyer again in the future I’d rehire Brian and recommend him to anyone who asks.

The H.F. Layton Law Office has represented us in several cases, all of which we have won. One of the cases was delicate and difficult to say the the least. Mr. Layton and his staff worked tirelessly and proficiently on our behalf. Even in stressful moments Mr. Layton was patient, encouraging and understanding. I don’t even know where to start here. I came to this law firm from a cheap attorney who was constantly messing up but luckily the person taking me to court had no case so I would win but never because of the attorney. When I was looking for a new firm I had a free consultation with Vanessa and after speaking to many others Vanessa really stood out with compassion and a professional caring attitude. When my court case went to family court months later i immediately thought of this firm. When I called to book Vanessa she was all booked up after some disappointment I was told that there is a whole team here and another attorney was available... Sara Driesen took my case and she was beyond amazing! She was a fighter in court... and my personal therapist haha. I can’t express how important Sara has been to my children and myself and everything we went after we got in court! Far exceeded what I thought was possible. My kids don’t have to deal with the issues they were put through for so long. Sara also helped me come up with payment arrangements when court started to stretch out, not to the fault of Sara but to a compulsive liar we were dealing with in court. I had a great job at a architectural firm and unfortunately the pandemic left me strapped financially Sara was always understanding. Lawyers are expensive and often court stretches longer than expected and you should be prepared for that.... just a tip. I will say that the billing was a bit inconsistent in terms of when I was receiving statements this could be the pandemic and the like and sometimes reading the bill was confusing but after a quick email they did great explaining it and helping me understand what I was looking at. Sara, Molly, Brianna, and daisy are all amazing these ladies are all responsible and great at communicating and I felt like I had an army by my side I love and thank you all! You all helped in more ways than you know. I am forever grateful.

I will start by saying that I never give bad reviews for a restaurant or really any services. I don’t believe in that as you never know what is going on with someone Individually or the owners trying to make a living. Being that this involves my children and other families that may be choosing Vanessa, I am compelled to review. I gave $5,000 and the team blew thru it by reviewing basic items for a divorce/family Case I was ABOUT to embark on. I didn’t even start officially in court. I saw the 5 stars and knew it was $450/hr so I thought “wow she must be good.” It was no different than if I paid $50/hr to a no name. She doesn’t care about the children, I can tell you that. It’s a job to her and wow does she charge for it. I got my small amount of retainer left and moving on. I am one of several that had similar experiences as me with her. Trust your intuition when choosing a lawyer for something as important as your babies. Don’t go by reviews or hourly rate.

I cannot begin to tell you how terrible my experience was with Lisa Mendes. It was my 1st time hiring an attorney and I cried after the case was over and felt so helpless and hopeless. She knew I was vulnerable and didn’t know anything about court or family law. These are people who are supposed to help you fight your case. I lost my case and to make matters worse, there was a conflict of interest with the opposing attorney. Apparently they knew each other. Please make sure you have a good sense of feeling about your attorney before paying them all your savings. MaKe sure all your questions and concerns are answered and not rushed. Are they truly explaining the case to you for you to understand? There’s a lot of legal lingo you won’t know but this should be explained, if you have a good attorney???? Do they really have your best interest at heart? Unfortunately in my case, I was doomed to begin with.

for not even 2 months of work on my case, $22500 in fees. They made is seem like they did so much work and it was such a basic case. Charged for things double triple times, because none of them even knew the status of my case at any time. Even opposing counsel mentioned they had know idea what they were doing especially with billing. Got no retainer back which I thought was illegal?? Also got charged for trust account replenishment which is NOT a bill I thought it was for work not yet done ?? Gave horrible legal advice which would have made a huge difference in my case if I listened to them. So glad i let them go

The team at Family Formation did a terrific job in matching us with a surrogate that was a perfect fit for our family. It took a long time to find the match, but patience paid off. Our surrogate was fabulous. We have had a great relationship built on trust and mutual respect. We got a twin boy and girl as a result. My heart is so happy right now it could burst right now. I have waited 4 long years and my twin daughters are due in a few days. I started thinking about all of the people that made this happen and how wonderful my experience was and I can not recommend Family Formation more. The team there takes care of everything and everyone. They are always there to answer questions, you feel safe, and you feel taken care of from a-z. There is a bit of magic to their screening process (I used a surrogate and she is like family to me now) and they knew from day one that we would feel this way in the end!

My husband and I were both blown away by how professional, caring, and knowledgeable Megan and her amazing team at Family Formation are. My only regret is not having contacted them sooner, but when things hit rock bottom and I was just about to lose hope, I got a glowing referral from a friend about Family Formation. I called for a consultation, and a salesman took my call. I asked for advice and to speak with attorney. $3,000 was my answer. I called later with $3,000 on hand, but was told... my "consultant" wasn't there so I couldn't speak to anyone until he came in hours later. I told them any reputable attorneys office could make me an appointment. The reply was... "sir there is a protocal in place, give me your number and your consultant will contact you". I hung up...I don't need a commission based salesman to close the deal. A reputable law office will make my appointment regardless of who answers the phone.

I gave Peter 2 stars before but now I have an update, I believe he is bipolar or take drugs. And watch out with his office staff they are super unpolite (they don't want anyone in there), they act cold and act like mommies reciting a script. AH and the receptionist, calls for the manager who is even worse. When I went to small claim courts I found out that he had not remove the eviction he initiated even when I told him the tenant had already gave me the keys, and I told him in an email and by the phone to remove the eviction. I am not sure, if he did this to create more chaos. or simply because he forgot. In any event, I am still considering suing this attorney for the default judgment that my tenant won, because of his lack of due diligence. Ah, and If you speak English as a second language he will not be kind or courteous. He told me that my English wasn't good enough, ??? I believe that he takes your money and then moves in a way to create more problems so he can continue on the case and when there is no more fight (as it was my case)he leaves you in the cold because there is no opportunity for more money.

We got into a sticky situation with someone renting a single family home from us but after the lease was over, they didn't want to leave. Lucky for us, we found Peter who handled the entire legal process for us end-to-end. Peter was quick, aggressive and reasonably priced based on the amount of effort it took to resolve the case. I'm sure he's good at other types of legal issues but I would highly recommend Peter for any real estate legal help. Thank you Peter!
