We are very pleased with Sarah Orr. She guided us through a very difficult guardianship issue for our grandsons. The issue took more than a year to unfold. She was there, on time, fully informed, and very friendly yet professional. Sarah helped us see the most important underlying issues, and she told us clearly when she thought we were off base or had unrealistic expectations. My ex-husband found her online to serve as a mediator for our divorce. I wish we had gone with another attorney. Not only was she horrible as an attorney but she's unreliable and very openly rude. She told my husband at the time that I was out to get every penny I could out of my husband and she said this while I was present. She also kept telling us that she would have certain things ready by a certain date but never followed through on it. We ended up firing her half way through our meditation process because she said she didn't know when things were going to get done. This is the person who initially said she had a lot of time to handle our case right away but once we paid her a retainer, all of a sudden, she got super busy and always had to go to court. So, I ended up picking up from where she left off and finishing it myself. One of the worst attorneys I have ever dealt with.

I’m so disappointed as I expected much from an attorney than he is able to provide. I called for a consultation, and a salesman took my call. I asked for advice and to speak with attorney. $3,000 was my answer. I called later with $3,000 on hand, but was told... my "consultant" wasn't there so I couldn't speak to anyone until he came in hours later. I told them any reputable attorneys office could make me an appointment. The reply was... "sir there is a protocal in place, give me your number and your consultant will contact you". I hung up...I don't need a commission based salesman to close the deal. A reputable law office will make my appointment regardless of who answers the phone.

I cannot say enough good things about Mark and Tanya except that I will be forever indebted to them for their hard work regarding my case. I have had a great experience with this office. Kim Ma was an attorney I hired for my custody case and she was great. Originally when I scheduled a consultation, she listened to my concerns and overall situation and she honestly told me I did not have a case. I think that speaks volume of her integrity and professionalism. Too many attorneys out there are just after your money and will promise you an outcome that won’t be attained. Eventually my situation progressed and she assisted me with my case. I would definitely recommend Kim to anyone who is looking for an honest professional. Of course my hopes are to never need their services again but in case I do, I will be coming back! Thank you again.

I have had to work with several attorneys over the last 2 years and I am absolutely blown away by Kim Ma. I believe she is absolutely an answer to prayer! We went through many of the scenarios imaginable with family court and yet Kim’s knowledge, expertise and professionalism was absolutely top notch the entire way through. Kim is wonderfully available and balances all her clients in a positive manner. She goes above and beyond for her clients. I absolutely can say without a hint of doubt that Kim brings honor to the legal system. She brings calm to a stressful situation and she truly pursues what is best for her clients. Kim works diligently to ensure she is being reasonable, honest, responsive and the best attorney she can for her clients. While I hope to rarely need an attorney, I pray her services are the only attorney I will be utilizing henceforth. Julia Perkovich helped me get through my divorce with both genuine compassion and professionalism. Going through the entire process is cumbersome, emotional, and frequently frustrating, but she made it more than bearable. Even when it was clear that certain laws are archaic and unfair, she did her best to mitigate their effects and make things as fair as possible. She always referred to all of us by name (and not just "my client" or "her attorney/counsel") which spoke volumes to me-we were human beings with real feelings that needed not just legal, but emotional support as well. She obviously cared as much or more about the individuals involved as the legal aspects of the case. She was professional when required and human when necessary. The ability to do that is invaluable. I first employed Evan over 10 years ago during a custody battle with my son's mother. My son was 14 years old at the time, and the court was more than willing to allow him to go live with his mother because they considered him old enough to decide. My son's mother had trouble with addiction for years, but the court refused to acknowledge that little tidbit. It was an impossible case and Evan was very forthright and honest about our chances. However, he was very willing to fight for us and we devised a strategy together that was both brilliant and effective. My son's mother was luring him away by spoiling him with gifts and fun activities with money she inherited. We decided to fight a battle of attrition with the expectation that she would eventually run out of money with her free spending. It worked! It was an impossible case that we won by unconventional, but ultimately successful, means. I am now about to embark on another custody battle which may be even more impossible than the first, and my only choice to represent me in this case is Evan Samuelson.

I contacted Mr. Samuelson for what should of been a easy open and close case. I however threw a monkey wrench midway through the case by requesting a move away with my children from CA to the Chicago area.
