Excellent firm. The divorce process proves difficult enough and Conscious Family helped make this a much smoother transition. Shea is a real gem. I can't recommend her enough. She is intelligent, experienced, and always steady and professional. I really feel she always had my best interests at heart, and had my back when I needed that so much. She was also flexible and understanding of my personal chaos and uncertainty during this difficult time. And best of all, she does her own work. I was never passed off to a paralegal or a secretary. All my correspondence was directly with her, and I never had to get anyone else up to speed on my case, or feel like I was just another case file in a big firm. And all this for relatively reasonable rates. I really can't think of a downside to my experience with her.

I wanted to take the time to give an accurate reflection of my experience. Literally she made things so much easier for me. My divorce was a bit messy and emotional. She helped me to see the process, understand it and target what I wanted out of this in the end. Because of Shea’s help I was able to have a less chaotic experience than other people I know have had with their divorces and not using Shea. My life is back on track and I don’t regret a thing. Shea was very thorough and quick with responses when I needed to talk to her. Her work is of great quality and she helped me avoid some possible major issues had I not had her in my corner. Her experience and knowledge is also of high quality. Honestly, I would choose her again if I had to do this over. I really don’t feel you could go wrong choosing her. Brent Warkentine is an extremely good lawyer and his staff are wonderful. I feel very fortunate that he was willing to take on my case on short notice. My ex and I had decided we didn’t need an attorney to handle our divorce, but at the last minute I found out that my ex had hired an attorney and I needed a lawyer immediately. Brent was able to schedule me in and guided me through the legal process so I wouldn’t get steamrolled by opposing council. He helped me through all the hoops and helped me to make the right choices for me and my son that were not based on emotions. Brent was highly recommended by other attorneys in the area and also in all the reviews I read. Brent’s staff always made me feel comfortable and at home whenever I was in the office. His staff were always available when I had questions or had Brent respond if they couldn’t provide the answers I needed. I urge anyone thinking of retaining Rebecca as an attorney to re think that decision.. She began as respectful and helpful and soon she showed her true colors as it pertained to my case... I am a victim of att. Murder as well as my son and she completely dropped the ball when we went to court.. I obtained all the evidence and she couldn't even prepare it, in this severe of a situation she was willing to leave me on the chopping block she even showed up to court looking un hygienic and tired... I fired her immediately and went with Randy b. Corporan office in aurora and it was the best decision I could have made.. STEER CLEAR

I have hired Rebecca Pescador on a few different occasions to represent me and help me through some personally difficult legal matters. I found her services to be efficient, affordable, and effective. It was very challenging to find an attorney in the midst of a difficult divorce. As we begin this Thanksgiving holiday we are continually giving thanks to David for his help during our recent involvement with the Colorado Legal System. Of the four attorneys I interviewed , Pat and I are so grateful we selected him, the most capable, knowledgeable and committed attorney to represent me (us) against a system designed to convict anyone accused of an alleged crime. David was not intimidated nor overpowered by the prosecutors’ seemly personal agenda or by the vast amount of resources at the prosecutor’s disposal. David’s professional and personal qualities helped us feel we had a capable, caring friend on our side. He helped us to resist becoming disheartened by the prosecutor’s sinister tactics. Pat and I now realize a person is not innocent until proven guilty in our legal system but is guilty until they can prove their innocence. We did not realize this until we were actually involved in our own criminal defense process. We are positive David’s quick mind, through knowledge of the laws and extensive preparation for court appearances prevented the system from taking away years of my life. Dr Jones is incredibly knowledgeable on the law. In my particular case he seemed to know more than the judge himself. I was falsely arrested and charged with 3rd degree assault. The state tried to "fast track" the trial, meaning I was released from jail and literally had only an hour to show up for court. I frantically searched Google and luckily for me David was in his office at the time. He advised me how to handle my pre trial, refuse to speak with the DA, etc. Because of David's sound advice the DA couldn't get anything from me. The Jefferson County Court did the best they could to screw me in the months before trial..sobriety monitoring/random drug test. You are official guilty until proven innocent. DR Jones assured me this would go away through a dismissal or acquittal at trial. He took one look at my discovery file and it was obvious to him that they arrested the wrong person in my case.. David went to bat for me, attacking the cases credibility, loading the DA with irrefutable evidence, etc. At the motions hearing David requested a dismissal and the state had no choice but to not object. I'm glad it didn't go to trial but I have no doubt David would have made a mockery of the States case in court. Thanks David! You truly put my life back on track!

D.R.Jones associate George Bailey is a pleasure to work with. I believe that he really does his best. We had a complicated situation and were upset that too many associates or colleagues were involved without our prior knowledge; before billing, however the ability of this law firm is excellent. The cost is high, but most legal help today is. Mr. Bailey did a wonderful job & I thank him for his help.

DR Jones himself may be a good attorney but his associates are not very pleasing. Wasted a lot of my money in "business meetings" amongst them selfs. And were talking 4 digits. Didn't return calls and I feel this firm just wasted a lot of time and money and really didn't get anything accomplished. The choice is yours, but I would seriously reconsider the decision in hiring this firm.

If you are dealing with a divorce, custody or another family law matter, just call them. You can expect great advice, caring and compassionate support and friendly help. There are a lot of lawyers out there. This is one of the good ones. I highly recommend them to family and friends.

Billed us for research she didn't complete (other attorneys we hired sent her the case law). Karen took a lengthy time to respond to us and to file court responses/motions, so much so that the magistrate called our side "clandestine". Even our other adoption/litigation attorneys said she neglected our case. She was stuttering so bad during her cross examination on a bogus emergency motion that my other attorneys informed me that they were actively emailing her, telling her to relax and tightened her questioning. We hired her in November of 2020, released her in December of 2020, and have since spend $9800 in attorney fees to fix her mistakes. Even our adoption attorney said she is not giving this case the time it needed, we were just an easy payday to her firm. Luckily we have a great new proactive team now.

Katie and her team were awesome! Despite me having them join the party late they got right to business in my defense. She was upfront and honest about what we can avoid to save me money if possible. She told me what was beneficial and what wasn't. Furthermore, I was forced to drop council to pay marital bills (which she advised) as a benefit to all parties. Then offered guidance as a more cost effective option. Even after Katie called me the morning prior to a hearing as a courteous human being and directed me on what was immediately required for the hearing. She even went so far as to edit my response, file with the courts which I had no way of doing and suggested that she would only bill me an hour to prepare it. This is a huge testament to the overall integrity and professionalism of the practice which is hard to find in any profession. Thanks!

I met with Katie a year ago after my boys came to me with a serious issue regarding parenting time. Katie took my concerns very seriously and directed me to seek protection for my boys. Zach was then assigned to me to handle our case. All I can say is, thank God Zach had a plan, understood my frustrations, my anxiety, my concerns for my boys, and once I understood the plan, things just fell into place and Zach's best interest and concern for my boys prevailed. Casey and her team did an incredible job in guiding us through the overwhelming task of preparing our wills and getting our affairs in order. The process was manageable thanks to how the information was presented - small bites at a time.
