Brent Warkentine is an extremely good lawyer and his staff are wonderful. I feel very fortunate that he was willing to take on my case on short notice. My ex and I had decided we didn’t need an attorney to handle our divorce, but at the last minute I found out that my ex had hired an attorney and I needed a lawyer immediately. Brent was able to schedule me in and guided me through the legal process so I wouldn’t get steamrolled by opposing council. He helped me through all the hoops and helped me to make the right choices for me and my son that were not based on emotions. I urge anyone thinking of retaining Rebecca as an attorney to re think that decision.. She began as respectful and helpful and soon she showed her true colors as it pertained to my case... I am a victim of att. Murder as well as my son and she completely dropped the ball when we went to court.. I obtained all the evidence and she couldn't even prepare it, in this severe of a situation she was willing to leave me on the chopping block she even showed up to court looking un hygienic and tired... I fired her immediately and went with Randy b. Corporan office in aurora and it was the best decision I could have made.. STEER CLEAR

I have hired Rebecca Pescador on a few different occasions to represent me and help me through some personally difficult legal matters. I found her services to be efficient, affordable, and effective. It was very challenging to find an attorney in the midst of a difficult divorce. I felt like Rebecca was an attorney that I could trust to tend to the legal concerns I had. It removed the a lot of the burden and stress so that I could attend to my job and family. If you are dealing with a divorce, custody or another family law matter, just call them. You can expect great advice, caring and compassionate support and friendly help. There are a lot of lawyers out there. This is one of the good ones. I highly recommend them to family and friends.

Facing the prospect of a divorce is one of life's biggest challenges. Engaging in this process with Conscious Family turned a potentially polarizing experience into a more compassionate experience. Everyone on the team are professional, fair & compassionate. They modeled this behavior for us & gracefully steered us to an equitable, fair and reasonable settlement. Rather than falling into the trap of a potentially adversarial process with individual lawyers, we chose this option. It's pricey but worth it as the added benefit of a more intentional process served to help me heal from the divorce. Leaving a marriage with dignity is a far better option than hashing it out with opposing lawyers. After reviewing our separation agreement, a local well known mortgage banker told me that our agreement was one of the most solid ones he's reviewed.

I could write a 30 page dissertation, right here (Does Google reviews have a character limit?!), on the horrors of divorcing in this 50/50-or-die state. While that is wholly irrelevant and often my style, I would rather take this time to sing the praises of Harris Law Firm and, in particular, my lawyer, Andrew Stein. My life has improved tremendously since Mr. Stein began representing me, just a few short months ago. I think he may help with my PTSD symptoms more than my psychiatrist does. I have been at the mercy of my ex and his tenacious lawyer throughout this terrible process. It's nice to finally have someone on my side who won't let them bully me. I have been failed by others in the past. Mr. Stein is not only a great lawyer who acts with intelligence and a bigger picture in mind, he is a genuinely thoughtful person whose whatever-the-attorney-equivalent-to-bedside-manner goes far above and beyond the standard practice. I trust him, and my confidence is not so easily won. I like to say that I would sell my kidney to afford him and I'm not entirely joking. I think I may need him more than I need that duplicate organ, at least for the next few years. 10 stars and 4 thumbs up

Your experience may vary: For starters Javed was great but after that once assigned to Mr. S, I just became a billing client for his numbers. He was unprepared on every front. Showed up to mediation and the mediator schooled him on the process, and he even said ‘I have not read the file yet’. Wait, we are in mediation for a divorce and you have not read the file to prepare yourself? Then it just became, ‘you need to come up with more money for the offer’. More money, more money all the while not defending any assets I had, no attempt at all, and always dismissed at every turn. “it doesn’t matter’, ‘that won’t matter’, ‘courts are not interested’, no defense on anything. Showed up to court and he had nothing, OC threw a curve ball and he died on the sport, no defense, no plan B, not even a C, or a D , nothing, just dead air. I think even the judge was shocked. Worthless representation from this firm. From then on it was just OC and the judge rolling over us all the way to the end. I had the proof, had all the supporting documents for the defense and sent him that. Researched something back 15 years to try to get something dismissed, but he wasn’t interested. How are you a lawyer if you’re not going to represent your client when you have the proof for a defense and you need to share with the court and you don’t? It is in explainable why you didn’t share this, but you go out and claim you need to rewrite every document OC sends, only to end up submitting the same document they started with. Spend the time defending your client and not needlessly wasting time on billing your client for useless stuff because you need to make you’re numbers. If you cannot defend your client, then remove yourself from the case. When you do complain about the service you are met with being dismissed. ‘That’s how the system works, it’s not fair’. It’s fair if you show up on equal footing and you lose because it was a fair fight. It becomes unfair when the attorney you hire doesn’t show up at all and doesn’t disclose to the court information that could change the outcome, and doesn’t fight for you but just dismisses you because they don’t want to do their job. In the end, because of the lack of representation and defense I had to cut a deal with the EX to stop the loss. A deal that should have never happened and why I hired representation. - Harris Services were terminated.

From the start of being evaluated to see who would be the best attorney to "match" what I was looking for in an attorney to hiring Kim Gent for representation, it was a great process. The team at Harris Law Firm reach out on a regular basis to ensure you are happy with your legal team, which I find amazing. They have webinars to help parents during this trying process and I couldn't be more happy. It is worth every penny. It might be on the higher end as far as attorney fees but I am telling you, you do not want to cheapen out for mediocre representation. Billed us for research she didn't complete (other attorneys we hired sent her the case law). Karen took a lengthy time to respond to us and to file court responses/motions, so much so that the magistrate called our side "clandestine". Even our other adoption/litigation attorneys said she neglected our case. She was stuttering so bad during her cross examination on a bogus emergency motion that my other attorneys informed me that they were actively emailing her, telling her to relax and tightened her questioning. We hired her in November of 2020, released her in December of 2020, and have since spend $9800 in attorney fees to fix her mistakes. Even our adoption attorney said she is not giving this case the time it needed, we were just an easy payday to her firm. Luckily we have a great new proactive team now.
