In 2018 in my daughters Lindsay D and N Case my daughter was not found unfit her children were not adjudicated dependent or neglected My daughter passed all monitored drug testing the case was dismissed and Lindsay could not save our children from having to move 1000 miles away with a dead beat father who still owes 40,000 in back child support She could not appeal the case for my daughter. Because the courts did not prove anything and did not adjudicate. The judge did not still have jurisdiction to make a ruling especially because she dismissed the case. What the Judge did is trespass what the law said if not proven return the children and made her own ruling. Its against the law So in my option she don't know how to win in Teller County. Because this was a pretty black and white case and she let the Judge break the Law.

After about 1½ years as my lawyer and finally making headway on my custody case with all the proof to start the patental alienation case against my ex and knowing that I was barely able to afford to keep her on retainer (but still was) she bailed stating she was no longer going to do this type of attorney work. This left me stuck with not enough money to hire a new lawyer plus basically having to start all over with someone who knew nothing about the case. I was surprised to see her website today that says family law...was I lied to?? I would have to say that like all lawyers she cannot be trusted.

I don't know how I could have handled this stressful process without her in my corner, she was reliable, compassionate, and transparent every step of the way and ensured everything was handled fairly in what could have otherwise been a much more challenging process. Ryan handled my divorce case with professionalism and tact. His fees were reasonable and much, much lower than the other side’s. He out-lawyered the other side to such an extent they went through three different law firms. I wound up with a settlement that was much better financially than I would have gotten in court. It was basically a windfall. I would recommend Ryan and his firm to anyone needing representation in a divorce case. I have a unique perspective on judging the skill of lawyers because I am a lawyer myself.

Facing the prospect of a divorce is one of life's biggest challenges. Engaging in this process with Conscious Family turned a potentially polarizing experience into a more compassionate experience. Everyone on the team are professional, fair & compassionate. They modeled this behavior for us & gracefully steered us to an equitable, fair and reasonable settlement. Rather than falling into the trap of a potentially adversarial process with individual lawyers, we chose this option. It's pricey but worth it as the added benefit of a more intentional process served to help me heal from the divorce. Leaving a marriage with dignity is a far better option than hashing it out with opposing lawyers. As we begin this Thanksgiving holiday we are continually giving thanks to David for his help during our recent involvement with the Colorado Legal System. Of the four attorneys I interviewed , Pat and I are so grateful we selected him, the most capable, knowledgeable and committed attorney to represent me (us) against a system designed to convict anyone accused of an alleged crime. David was not intimidated nor overpowered by the prosecutors’ seemly personal agenda or by the vast amount of resources at the prosecutor’s disposal. David’s professional and personal qualities helped us feel we had a capable, caring friend on our side. He helped us to resist becoming disheartened by the prosecutor’s sinister tactics. Pat and I now realize a person is not innocent until proven guilty in our legal system but is guilty until they can prove their innocence. We did not realize this until we were actually involved in our own criminal defense process. We are positive David’s quick mind, through knowledge of the laws and extensive preparation for court appearances prevented the system from taking away years of my life. Thank you David for choosing to be a defense attorney helping to make sure your clients’ rights are protected so they are not defenseless. Dr Jones is incredibly knowledgeable on the law. In my particular case he seemed to know more than the judge himself. I was falsely arrested and charged with 3rd degree assault. The state tried to "fast track" the trial, meaning I was released from jail and literally had only an hour to show up for court. I frantically searched Google and luckily for me David was in his office at the time. He advised me how to handle my pre trial, refuse to speak with the DA, etc. Because of David's sound advice the DA couldn't get anything from me. The Jefferson County Court did the best they could to screw me in the months before trial..sobriety monitoring/random drug test. You are official guilty until proven innocent. DR Jones assured me this would go away through a dismissal or acquittal at trial. He took one look at my discovery file and it was obvious to him that they arrested the wrong person in my case.. David went to bat for me, attacking the cases credibility, loading the DA with irrefutable evidence, etc. At the motions hearing David requested a dismissal and the state had no choice but to not object. I'm glad it didn't go to trial but I have no doubt David would have made a mockery of the States case in court. Thanks David! You truly put my life back on track!

D.R.Jones associate George Bailey is a pleasure to work with. I believe that he really does his best. We had a complicated situation and were upset that too many associates or colleagues were involved without our prior knowledge; before billing, however the ability of this law firm is excellent. The cost is high, but most legal help today is. Mr. Bailey did a wonderful job & I thank him for his help.

DR Jones himself may be a good attorney but his associates are not very pleasing. Wasted a lot of my money in "business meetings" amongst them selfs. And were talking 4 digits. Didn't return calls and I feel this firm just wasted a lot of time and money and really didn't get anything accomplished. The choice is yours, but I would seriously reconsider the decision in hiring this firm.

Brent Warkentine is an extremely good lawyer and his staff are wonderful. I feel very fortunate that he was willing to take on my case on short notice. My ex and I had decided we didn’t need an attorney to handle our divorce, but at the last minute I found out that my ex had hired an attorney and I needed a lawyer immediately. Brent was able to schedule me in and guided me through the legal process so I wouldn’t get steamrolled by opposing council. He helped me through all the hoops and helped me to make the right choices for me and my son that were not based on emotions. Billed us for research she didn't complete (other attorneys we hired sent her the case law). Karen took a lengthy time to respond to us and to file court responses/motions, so much so that the magistrate called our side "clandestine". Even our other adoption/litigation attorneys said she neglected our case. She was stuttering so bad during her cross examination on a bogus emergency motion that my other attorneys informed me that they were actively emailing her, telling her to relax and tightened her questioning. We hired her in November of 2020, released her in December of 2020, and have since spend $9800 in attorney fees to fix her mistakes. Even our adoption attorney said she is not giving this case the time it needed, we were just an easy payday to her firm. Luckily we have a great new proactive team now.

Michael is absolutely amazing! He goes the extra mile for his clients and gets the job done. He is very knowledgeable and if he doesn't know the answer he will find it.
