Both Milena and Sharon have helped me through many post decree issues and are continuing to do so. They have ensured that court orders align with my children’s best interests and the orders continue to be enforced. Domestic abuse makes an already ugly issue even more so. I have always felt shielded and supported by them both and it has given me the courage to stand up for myself and my children when needed. My mother in law hired Attorney Elder to represent her in a estate case. We live out of state but the process with Attorney Elder made it easier for us. She maintained communication with us and if we had a question could email her. Her response was usually within that same day if not the next day. She really made us feel comfortable with the entire process. She is an extremely knowledgeable Attorney. I highly recommend her for any estate cases in Greeley, Colorado and surrounding areas. I hired Sharon for a complicated, and high conflict, child custody case. Throughout the whole process she was kind and understanding of my wishes. She is very knowledgeable and was very upfront and honest with me about the specifics of my case, as well as, my position. She took charge in the court room, was respectful, but pointed and took charge. Regarding parenting/custody case issues: I would not recommend Lisa to anyone who hopes to come to a mutual agreement during mediation. First of all, she showed up 30 minutes late for the appointment and didn't even offer an apology. Secondly, as the wife to one of the interested parties, I was excluded from mediation as she said "I don't allow third parties in the room." To which I responded, "oh. I wish I would have been made aware of that so that I did not take half a day off from work. Neither your website nor the letter that you sent out to all three of us stated that." She very rudely and sarcastically shrugged her shoulders at me and said "sorry." I did not find that to be very professional. Also, after the mediation and speaking with my husband, it seems as though Lisa does not understand Colorado school districts, their requirements as well as how to read and interpret teacher effectiveness and growth. This is critical because the mediation was to determine which school and district the child would attend. During the time that I was waiting, I spoke with two previous clients who described Lisa as "very mother-friendly regardless of the best interest of the children." They also mentioned other dislikes such as financial gain but that was not a concern of mine as it did not pertain to my situation.

I highly recommend Lisa. I also am an attorney and have had numerous cases with Lisa on the opposite side. Lisa focuses on the issues and knows which fights to pick. She protects her clients' interests while working toward a settlement that is beneficial to all. Family law is never about who wins, but is about how the case can be resolved so that the parties can move forward with their lives. When Lisa is on a case against me, I know that it will not be an ugly fight, but a continued discussion of what is best for all involved. Lisa is one of the few attorneys who is able to have a real talk with her clients and tell them exactly what to expect, even if they don't want to hear it. I have also used her mediation services and have been more than happy with her work. She ensures that only the parties are the ones to attend/participate in mediation, and she challenges them to consider alternative views and options. If I needed to hire an attorney, I would not hesitate to hire Lisa.

Hello I tried getting a hold of Lisa when I had to do a mediation I called & left messages & nothing. No response from her then I found out she is a lawyer but that didn't give her the right to ignore me. She could of called or sent an email saying she wasn't a mediator & that she couldn't help.

Katie and her team were awesome! Despite me having them join the party late they got right to business in my defense. She was upfront and honest about what we can avoid to save me money if possible. She told me what was beneficial and what wasn't. Furthermore, I was forced to drop council to pay marital bills (which she advised) as a benefit to all parties. Then offered guidance as a more cost effective option. Even after Katie called me the morning prior to a hearing as a courteous human being and directed me on what was immediately required for the hearing. She even went so far as to edit my response, file with the courts which I had no way of doing and suggested that she would only bill me an hour to prepare it. This is a huge testament to the overall integrity and professionalism of the practice which is hard to find in any profession. Thanks!

I met with Katie a year ago after my boys came to me with a serious issue regarding parenting time. Katie took my concerns very seriously and directed me to seek protection for my boys. Zach was then assigned to me to handle our case. All I can say is, thank God Zach had a plan, understood my frustrations, my anxiety, my concerns for my boys, and once I understood the plan, things just fell into place and Zach's best interest and concern for my boys prevailed. Casey and her team did an incredible job in guiding us through the overwhelming task of preparing our wills and getting our affairs in order. The process was manageable thanks to how the information was presented - small bites at a time. I urge anyone thinking of retaining Rebecca as an attorney to re think that decision.. She began as respectful and helpful and soon she showed her true colors as it pertained to my case... I am a victim of att. Murder as well as my son and she completely dropped the ball when we went to court.. I obtained all the evidence and she couldn't even prepare it, in this severe of a situation she was willing to leave me on the chopping block she even showed up to court looking un hygienic and tired... I have hired Rebecca Pescador on a few different occasions to represent me and help me through some personally difficult legal matters. I found her services to be efficient, affordable, and effective. It was very challenging to find an attorney in the midst of a difficult divorce. Shea is a real gem. I can't recommend her enough. She is intelligent, experienced, and always steady and professional. I really feel she always had my best interests at heart, and had my back when I needed that so much. She was also flexible and understanding of my personal chaos and uncertainty during this difficult time. And best of all, she does her own work. I was never passed off to a paralegal or a secretary. All my correspondence was directly with her, and I never had to get anyone else up to speed on my case, or feel like I was just another case file in a big firm. I wanted to take the time to give an accurate reflection of my experience. Literally she made things so much easier for me. My divorce was a bit messy and emotional. She helped me to see the process, understand it and target what I wanted out of this in the end. Because of Shea’s help I was able to have a less chaotic experience than other people I know have had with their divorces and not using Shea. My life is back on track and I don’t regret a thing. Shea was very thorough and quick with responses when I needed to talk to her. Her work is of great quality and she helped me avoid some possible major issues had I not had her in my corner. Brent Warkentine is an extremely good lawyer and his staff are wonderful. I feel very fortunate that he was willing to take on my case on short notice. My ex and I had decided we didn’t need an attorney to handle our divorce, but at the last minute I found out that my ex had hired an attorney and I needed a lawyer immediately. Brent was able to schedule me in and guided me through the legal process so I wouldn’t get steamrolled by opposing council. He helped me through all the hoops and helped me to make the right choices for me and my son that were not based on emotions. When you see the amount of documents that need to be filed it can feel overwhelming. Stephen sent step by step instructions on how to fill out the documents for both the petitioner and co-petitioner. All the documents are numbered in the top left hand corner making it easy to ensure you have the documents in order. I followed the directions and it was completed in a reasonable amount of time. I then mailed them to Stephen and it was finished. I would recommend.

DO NOT USE THIS FIRM!!! We had a previous experience with the attorney from this firm, and what do you know after making the retainer payment, I was not represented appropriately! I did not go to law school, hence why we had an attorney, and to realize they did nothing to help with our case, instead telling us not to ruffle feathers. Yes there are circumstances, but incompetence on a law firm's behalf is inexcusable.
