My experience with Maxine was great from start to finish. Easy to communicate with and we developed a well thought out plan to get what we needed out of a legal dispute with my ex wife. Maxine was very thoughtful though out the process and did not waste my time or money unless it was necessary. I highly recommend their firm.

Brad & Maxine were very professional and extremely responsive. I never had to follow up because they were always one step ahead. While I had hoped my case would’ve been shorter, I feel like their approach caused me less financial burden in the long run. I have had 3 previous attorneys who fell short and this firm was by FAR the best I have ever dealt with. They explained everything in layman’s terms and were sensitive to not incur additional legal fees. I highly recommend them. I have been in business for almost 40 years and have used many lawyers over those years. Mr. Daudell is a real "pit-bull." I have seen him argue against 3 lawyers vs. him and he did GREAT! Even the judge commended him on his knowledge of the law. He is a FIGHTER and very fair on his fees. I highly recommend him for all legal issues. Excellent professional service. Matt Linstroth ably served as my advocate, while always keeping watch of the goal; a peaceful just settlement. He maintained a positive attitude and gave good sound advice. Had we known that the opposing side had been secretly reading our confidential emails, we may have obtained the normal 50/50 split rather than the resulting 47/53 split. The opposing side made good use of inside information to repeatedly negotiate an agreement and then retract and demand more. Matt characterized their actions as frustrating and less than principled. It was only after sending Matt an email stating that I had enough of this behavior and was ready to wait for our court date that the agreement was reached and honored. Had Matt dealt with an opposing side that played by the rules, I certainly could have had a better outcome. Knowing now what we were dealing with, I am all the more grateful to have had him as my advocate.

I engaged this attorney to represent me in a post-divorce case. I found this attorney to be less than professional when it came to billing matters. I will give few examples here He has another attorney - John who helps in drafting petitions. My petition moved around between these attorneys and each time I was billed twice given the agreement that I would be billed based on the “time spent”. As a result, for a simple initial petition, I ended up paying twice as much and the initial costs to file petition itself ran in to thousands. He has an assistant who prepares files for court appearances and submits petitions. She billed me for the time spent on “file preparation for the court date”. When William would write me a letter regarding the updates after court appearances, instead of emailing me, he would use his stationary - letter head. His assistant would then write her own elaborate email and forward me William's letter as a pdf attachment. For these simple administrative tasks (submitting petitions/memorandum to the court, forwarding William’s updates), she billed me at $250/Hr which is just as much as regular attorney rates in Chicago. He also drafted needless petitions without consulting me and billed me for the same. They were never used in the litigation. For the pretrial, his co-attorney wrote the memorandum and then he reviewed it, again did final review and then again spent time on it in preparation for pre-trial. The only point I am able to provide to his credit is that he filed petitions timely and was present on court dates. But I would have expected this from any professional lawyer. There are some reputable lawyers on the Clark street and in my opinion, this particular firm is not among them.

Candace, was a dream come true as an attorney. She was sympathetic, and knowledgeable. She was extremely professional dealing with an emotionally abusive ex husband, who tried to control and take over the divorce proceedings. She constantly checked in with me, made me feels supported listened to me about what my goals and concerns were during the divorce, and responded quickly, regarding any issue. Thanks to her, we got through a very difficult situation quickly and she made sure my needs were not run over but respected the entire time. As time went on I found it very difficult to get a hold of Mr. Bradford in a timely way, even as some conflicts with my ex required a timely response. When my case eventually came to its climactic appearance before the court Mr. Bradford handled himself very poorly before the judge, to the extent that the judge became very angry at Mr. Bradford and ordered him to sit down in the spectator's area and remain silent. I was left to speak for myself as my case was settled. Mr. Bradford then asked me not to mention what had happened to anyone.

It appeared Mitchell Gordon and his team were very thorough and helpful when taking on my case which had been delayed in pre-trial court for 2 plus previous years. I thought I had found a good, ethical representative for me, but when the time came to 'negotiate' with the trial judge and the ex's unscrupulous attorney, the monies I was told I would be getting paid back to me, for example: monthly support from my ex, court ordered to me during the divorce in which he refused to pay, $40K the ex deceivingly took out of one of our joint accouts which I had pointed out to Mitchell and ask him to go after (in which he said he would), but did not, $70K the ex had accused me of stealing and told I had to pay him back, in which I had provided evidence to the contrary numerous times and was told I was cleared of, plus other items totaling ~$300K, Mitchell Gordon let my ex walk away with. I was yelled at, threatened, gas-lighted and told if I didn't pay the ex these monies, I would be forced to go to trial. All that this attorney wanted to do was end the divorce proceedings quickly no matter what it cost me. Do not believe any attorney who tells you they will make sure you get the funds owed you 'at the end' of the divorce. It Never happens. After a 30 plus year marriage as a stay at home mom of 3, my disabled son and I have had to now figure out how we will live on much less than we were promised and suppose to have received, but never will. In addition, at one point I was told by this attorney that he did not need my business, because I was not receiving very much in the settlement anyway and he had many other wealthier clients. This did not seem to matter though when I asked him to forgive $10K of my very large last invoice, but he refused. I ended up paying this attorney over $64K to finalize a divorce where I ended up losing ~$300K to my ex which belonged to me and my son. Beware.

I can't control whether or not my client's ex spouses write reviews on Google under fake names, but that has happened here. I have contacted Google and they will not remove the reviews made people's fake identities (Tom Son). I appreciate my actual client's that gave me a fair and thought out review.

Melissa Caballero is the attorney to hire for your divorce / custody case. My case was very high conflict and started with an emergency. Melissa and Jonathan swiftly returned my child to me and exposed the false narrative my ex tried to create within days of taking on the case, so we could start working toward long-term resolution. Their quick thinking and action in the beginning set the tone for the whole case. Despite the constant efforts by my ex to frustrate the process, Melissa stayed focused on the facts - this is why you pay for good representation - Melissa could easily filter out all the distractions and threats while protecting our child, and me. I am SO happy I found them early on...I don't think I would have the positive outcome I have now if I didn't. Melissa was on top of everything, and could easily pivot our strategy when needed. She is very established and is respected throughout the family court system, and that goes a very long way. Melissa understands the law inside and out, and it was clear early on that following her advice was the way to go. I highly recommend Scott! I started the divorce process with another attorney. A few months in and the process wasn’t going anywhere. Scott was highly recommended to me. My initial intention when I scheduled a call with Scott was to get a second opinion. Instead, I ended up switching attorneys. You want Scott in your corner. Scott was referred to me by a trusted friend to handle my divorce. Filing for divorce was one of the most challenging and important decisions I’d ever made. I knew I was going to be in for a battle, so hiring the right counsel was critical. From the very first conversation to the one we had just yesterday, hiring Scott was the best decision I made in the whole of the divorce - aside from getting divorced to begin with. Scott made this incredibly complex situation understandable and manageable. He was responsive and timely in our communications. I am so appreciative that Scott Tzinberg was recommended to me when I needed to return to court to compel my ex-husband to hold up his end of our agreements. Scott understood the outcomes that I wanted and employed a strategy that achieved those goals. His memory is impressive, as I gave him a myriad of details about my case, I never had to tell him something twice. In fact, he reminded me of things I had forgotten. He was well prepared and argued my case very effectively in court. Even when he went into the judge's chambers, I always felt completely informed. In discussions with opposing counsel, I felt he kept my best interests in mind (which has not been my experience with other lawyers). I also felt Scott was a good steward of my funds. He used everyone’s time efficiently and effectively. I hope I never need to set foot into court again, but if I do, I know who I will call.
