Scott Gordon was a great choice. After meeting with several attorneys I meet with Scott and one of his associates. I was going through a divorce and needed help with the legal process and custody of my daughter. He was incredibly knowledgeable, and was very responsive. My case was handled with care and I was very happy with the end result. Scott and the attorneys were always there to answer questions and was quick to respond to me if and when I needed anything, and I felt like they all cared about me and my daughter. Brian Hurst and his staff represented me during a complex, grueling and bitter three-year divorce battle. Mr. Hurst's professionalism and knowledge of the law is only outweighed by his sincerity and honesty. During the entire process I was treated more like family instead of just another "client." As time went on I found it very difficult to get a hold of Mr. Bradford in a timely way, even as some conflicts with my ex required a timely response. When my case eventually came to its climactic appearance before the court Mr. Bradford handled himself very poorly before the judge, to the extent that the judge became very angry at Mr. Bradford and ordered him to sit down in the spectator's area and remain silent. I was left to speak for myself as my case was settled. Mr. Bradford then asked me not to mention what had happened to anyone.

It appeared Mitchell Gordon and his team were very thorough and helpful when taking on my case which had been delayed in pre-trial court for 2 plus previous years. I thought I had found a good, ethical representative for me, but when the time came to 'negotiate' with the trial judge and the ex's unscrupulous attorney, the monies I was told I would be getting paid back to me, for example: monthly support from my ex, court ordered to me during the divorce in which he refused to pay, $40K the ex deceivingly took out of one of our joint accouts which I had pointed out to Mitchell and ask him to go after (in which he said he would), but did not, $70K the ex had accused me of stealing and told I had to pay him back, in which I had provided evidence to the contrary numerous times and was told I was cleared of, plus other items totaling ~$300K, Mitchell Gordon let my ex walk away with. I was yelled at, threatened, gas-lighted and told if I didn't pay the ex these monies, I would be forced to go to trial. All that this attorney wanted to do was end the divorce proceedings quickly no matter what it cost me. Do not believe any attorney who tells you they will make sure you get the funds owed you 'at the end' of the divorce. It Never happens. After a 30 plus year marriage as a stay at home mom of 3, my disabled son and I have had to now figure out how we will live on much less than we were promised and suppose to have received, but never will. In addition, at one point I was told by this attorney that he did not need my business, because I was not receiving very much in the settlement anyway and he had many other wealthier clients. This did not seem to matter though when I asked him to forgive $10K of my very large last invoice, but he refused. I ended up paying this attorney over $64K to finalize a divorce where I ended up losing ~$300K to my ex which belonged to me and my son. Beware.

I can't control whether or not my client's ex spouses write reviews on Google under fake names, but that has happened here. I have contacted Google and they will not remove the reviews made people's fake identities (Tom Son). I appreciate my actual client's that gave me a fair and thought out review.

My divorce had some complexity but Jenny had no idea how to handle it and kept charging me anyway. I ended up BROKE. There are thousands of lawyers in Chicago, nearly any other one is better. She’s a clerk, not a lawyer, and should not be charging like one.

Kelly was the absolute BEST! I was referred to her and Jenny through a friend, and I am SO glad I retained them. This law firm represented my family members a complicated dual custody situation. Since two members of the same household had custody and visitation cases arise at they same time they both chose to use the law firm, Palmisano Law Group. The law firm was given every detail of the complicated matters behind the cases. They still chose to request all parties have the same judge and have all parties in the same court room at the same time. Obviously things are more time and cost effective if an attorney has their cases heard in the same place at the same time. Unfortunately, in this complicated situation in which the firm was VERY educated on, they still chose this route. In doing this they created a conflict of interest then told my family members they had to make a choice. My family was told to drop a restraining order that was directed by them, the States Attorney and the police to attain in order to protect them from the conflict of interest they created or find another law firm. This put my family in a situation where they were told choose your safety and lose the over $10,000 you have spent for our services or drop the restraining order. Regardless of the short amount of time Megan Riordan has been practicing family law, someone else from this firm should have stepped in and made appropriate legal decisions based on the best interest of the children, not of the conflict the firm created. It is extremely disappointing to me and my family how unprofessionally this firm handled this case. An appropriate way to handle a conflict that the frim created would have been to assign another attorney from the firm to one of the two cases and request the original judge. It may not have been a foreseen conflict by the firm but their handling of the cases knowing the complications in fact did put all parties in the same place at the same time which did create the conflict. I am a strong believer in fixing an error you make. The Palmisano Law Group made an error. They owed it to their clients to fix it. Instead they chose to be unprofessional and threaten an already distraught family. How disgusting!

I hired his law group explicitly for a child support case in June. They assigned Jennifer Clancy to my case. The judge ordered a DNA test and she told the whole court she had never done a DNA test before and had to ask which lab to use. Extremely unprofessional and belligerent when contacted regarding valid case questions. I fired them in November of 2020 for unnecessarily dragging out my case. The next issue I had with this law group was with getting my unused retainer refunded back to me. They signed an inaccurate check amount in January. They intentionally sat on my check for 3 additional months and purposely dragged mailing out my check out until I contacted them in February. Pretty horrible having to ask where your money is when they didn’t have to ask me where their money was. Do yourself a favor and hire Mary Davis instead of these unprofessional expensive con artists.

I have been in business for almost 40 years and have used many lawyers over those years. Mr. Daudell is a real "pit-bull." I have seen him argue against 3 lawyers vs. him and he did GREAT! Even the judge commended him on his knowledge of the law. He is a FIGHTER and very fair on his fees. I highly recommend him for all legal issues. He has no ego and if needed will reach out to others should the need occur.

Mr. Paul Frigo has represented me in a 2.5 year battle, post-divorce decree/parenting agreement. I am a proactive, very involved single father of 2 who was looking for more (equal) parenting time with my children. Mr. Frigo is a straight shooter and he will be 100% honest with you regarding your case. He advised and counseled while keeping my family’s best interest in mind – he made sure I understood the process and the legal fight we were about to endure. Mr. Frigo listened to every single word and every concern I’ve ever brought to his attention. There was never a time where I waited more than one day (at most) to get a phone call and/or email back from him or his staff. Roger was my layer for a divorce. I was very satisfied. I don't think anyone "wins" a divorce but I was satisfied with the end result. It was better than I expected was going to happen. As further evidence, the opposing side was not happy with the outcome. I have ot assume Roger made a better argument and was better prepared. He was very fair on the billing. I never felt like I was being overcharged. He quickly responded to all correspondence. I would recommend him!!

I engaged this attorney to represent me in a post-divorce case. I found this attorney to be less than professional when it came to billing matters. I will give few examples here He has another attorney - John who helps in drafting petitions. My petition moved around between these attorneys and each time I was billed twice given the agreement that I would be billed based on the “time spent”. As a result, for a simple initial petition, I ended up paying twice as much and the initial costs to file petition itself ran in to thousands. He has an assistant who prepares files for court appearances and submits petitions. She billed me for the time spent on “file preparation for the court date”. When William would write me a letter regarding the updates after court appearances, instead of emailing me, he would use his stationary - letter head. His assistant would then write her own elaborate email and forward me William's letter as a pdf attachment. For these simple administrative tasks (submitting petitions/memorandum to the court, forwarding William’s updates), she billed me at $250/Hr which is just as much as regular attorney rates in Chicago. He also drafted needless petitions without consulting me and billed me for the same. They were never used in the litigation. For the pretrial, his co-attorney wrote the memorandum and then he reviewed it, again did final review and then again spent time on it in preparation for pre-trial. The only point I am able to provide to his credit is that he filed petitions timely and was present on court dates. But I would have expected this from any professional lawyer. There are some reputable lawyers on the Clark street and in my opinion, this particular firm is not among them.
