I hired LaBre law office to assist me with my divorce. Robert was very straight forward and did not waste any of my time which was much appreciated. He was very thorough and took care of almost everything, all I had to do was show up. The office staff was always very friendly and got back with me in a timely manner when I left a message or an email. I was satisfied with the services I was provided and would recommend this law office to anyone.

I needed an attorney for the first time, and decided to go with LaBre Law Office due to its location and positive reviews. Initially my consult was scheduled out a week, due to full schedule, but they were able to squeeze me in after a few days due to a cancellation. I felt at ease from the moment I walked into the office. The staff was extremely friendly, and made you feel welcome. After meeting with Rob, I knew that my case was in good hands. He always returned my calls whenever I had questions. I'm very happy with the end result, and would use Rob again if I needed an attorney in the future. However, I hope that I do not. Rex charges more than what his value is. He is very nonchalant and laid back. It seems like he does not even want to do the minimum for the retainer fee he charges. He will nickel and dime you and you will not get any of the retainer money back even though he may say in the initial consultation that you will get a refund of what's not used. He does not give you the bake if what he charges you.

I began my case with a firm in Portage that I let go due to improper representation, and was referred to Brueggemann and Sharma by a well respected Kalamazoo firm. I was told they were honest, cared about their clients and were dependable Attorneys. Rex represented me in a Federal Divorce, which wasn't easy. My experience with the firm was excellent, as Rex was brutally honest in telling me what I could expect, thereby eliminating a battle that would amount to costly fees and limited results. He and his technical staff, Marcia Cornell, were prompt in getting the required paperwork filed on time, keeping me informed regarding all matters related to the case, and simply communicating. I could not have asked for a better Attorney, as he was not only prompt and efficient, but well versed in Federal retirement and divorce law. He is someone who prepares diligently for a case, not ten minutes prior to representation. I am grateful he took my case that was not his originally, and turned something wrong into something right. Most importantly, it was refreshing to work with an Attorney that is honest, has great character, and genuinely cares about his clients. I would recommend him to anyone. The attorney that was recommended for my particular need by H.P. staff was practically useless with the limited subject matter knowledge presented to me. I took my business elsewhere, where I was dazzled by their expertise. I am aware that everyone in any profession has a learning curve to navigate, but we were talking some serious money here. I cannot afford to provide an education for representation. Buyer beware is what you must be aware of 'wherever' you go.

My husband and I spent years in a seemingly endless custody battle for his daughter. After many lawyers and tons of evidence ignored or swept under the rug we had reached a point where things seemed hopeless. That’s when we found Kellie. She was a breath of fresh air. Fun loving, witty personality and extremely smart. She knows what she is doing. She built us up when we were at our lowest, made us laugh when we wanted to cry and most importantly, she fought for our daughter as if she were her own. She was in constant contact with us. We never felt out of the loop on anything. In fact, she even contacted us numerous times out of her normal business hours (one time at 10pm) because something major happened and she wanted to get on it right away. Needless to say, our voices were finally heard and we obtained full custody. Due to circumstances, I was also able to adopt my daughter. Kellie celebrated with us and made sure the adoption process was smooth from beginning to end. We have also used Kellie to write our wills. I couldn’t imagine having another lawyer no matter what life throws our way. She is well worth every penny. You can trust that she will take care of your needs and will make things as smooth and seamless as possible. I couldn’t recommend her more! She is the best of the best!

We met with Howard to get his wisdom when dealing with parenting time modification. He was extremely helpful and his wisdom and experience showed as he was very knowledgeable on the process. Howard also made himself available for what they refer to as “a-la-carte”, meaning they can give you counsel right over the phone for a time rate. My partner and I had an agreed upon meeting time this morning with Ivan Shaw; he was supposed to call between 10:30-11am. I cleared my work schedule to take the call, as did my partner. He never called. When we called his office we were informed he had left the building. If you can’t attend a phone call on time, or communicate your need to reschedule, how can we count on you to handle complex legal matters which require intense communication? I’m reasonable - I know meetings need to be rescheduled, but I have little patience for lack of communication. I’m disappointed this is the direction this went after other great reviews.

Would absolutely never recommend them to anybody going through a custody battle they do not care what you have to say and do not listen, they just want your money and will do whatever the other side has to say basically to make it easier on them, they do not fight for you at all! I was switched between three different lawyers I had to explain my case again and again to each of them well being charged just a poor absolutely ridiculous quality of service.

Terrible experience with this firm. I had a very simple divorce case, no kids, etc. Case handed off to another lawyer before it was closed. Essentially had to pay to bring the new lawyer up to speed. I was under the impression I worked out a payment plan, only to find out that they put a lien on the house (charged me yet again) I lost in the divorce without out ever notifying me until months later. Extremely unimpressed.
