I've had years to reflect on my situation and experiences. Years ago, I went through Kurt and Lori, and it was well worth the money. Years later, my son's manipulative abusive mother got upset with me because I did not want to let her move in with me so she trumped up a some lies against me. I've decided to go through Haskell again. Yet this time, management changed. I reluctantly decided to pay the retainer fee expecting to get a fair representation and a fair price. To my surprise, I was charged for work I did. I was insulted by the referee based upon the lies of an abusive woman that wanted me to let her move into my home. She got away with keeping my son away from me and saying the most outrageous things about me to my oldest son. I now have no rights to him and have not seen him in years now. I've reached out to both him and his mother numerous times only to get either no response, or a negative response. Although I have custody of my younger children, it pains me that I don't get to see my oldest son and he's been turned against me and my other children. And the court doesn't seem to think there's anything wrong with it. They tell me as a father that I have to abide by a certain set of rules, while she's able to get away with breaking all of them. Thank God I didn't have to depend on attorneys for the sake of my other children! Their mom told the judge I'm a good father and did felt they needed to me. It's all in God's hands. I pray that the family court system will stop looking at men as just a provider, but as a source of love and stop hindering fathers from raising our children. But as of this point, I'm grateful that God has been taking care of my household and I realize attorneys are a waste of time and money for men unless you can prove the mother is a train wreck. Unfortunately for me, I was cursed with having to deal with a woman that's been through the court system before and knows some of the tricks to the trade on how to get away with things. One I worry about is when he gets older, he might learn the truth about his mother, he might grow even more hateful but towards his mother this time. I don't want him to hate either of his parents. But this is the situation she and the court system created. God bless! Take care.
