I was the opposing party of her law firm for my divorce. My ex is a control freak and tried to control the entire process. Instead of calming down her client ms Callahan enabled my ex to proceed to drag me through the mud. I seriously question her ethics. I will never never never recommend her to anyone. And now the two of them are coming after me again for more custody of my son. I mean if you want a cut throat lawyer who will literally bow at your feet and do whatever you want then give her a call. But if you want someone who has ethics then this place isn’t for you.

Beginning with her informative website which characterizes high conflict personality types in an understandable way, I was able to move forward with my divorce in a logical, rational and effective manner while avoiding much of the chaos I fully expected. Without actually meeting Christine in person due to Covid, she was able to conduct and conclude a favorable settlement which accounted for all the details of a complex transaction remotely...a remarkable achievement in my experience and I've been in business many years. She is an empathetic partner that walked with me down a very difficult path gaining my full trust in her integrity and competence. I consider myself fortunate to have first stumbled upon her website and then having the good sense to engage her services. She is one of the few lawyers I've ever met that exceeded my expectations. Christine was extremely helpful and knowledgeable which kept my stress level down during my divorce. Considering I’ve never met her and live four states away, I felt very comfortable with her and trusted her to guide me through the process in Minnesota. She kept in constant contact with me and her communications were informational and helpful. She was always available for a phone call if I had questions and I felt like I truly had an advocate for my interests in the divorce. Regardless the circumstance, divorce is a very delicate time for all parties involved and Ms MacLean and her team took that into consideration when it came to our situation. Ms. MacLean is extremely knowledgable and understands the law and was able to explain everything to me start to finish, throughout the entire process. I had the unfortunate experience of being involved in a high conflict divorce. My initial attorney was not particularly responsive and she seemed more interested in making sure that my ex's lifestyle was maintained post-divorce than discussing/protecting my lifestyle post-divorce. My initial attorney was also not particularly responsive, as several very important questions that I had emailed to her went unanswered. When I decided to retain a new attorney, a friend strongly recommended Jody Terzich based on his very positive experience with his high conflict divorce. I called Jody, but she was on vacation and she did not return my call for 10 days. Because I was impatient, I retained a different attorney who claimed to specialize in high conflict divorces before Jody called me back (she did and she was very polite/professional). Although I have not ever worked with Jody, I will believe that my decision to not wait for Jody to return my phone call was probably the worst decision that I made during my divorce. Unfortunately, attorney#2 was even worse than attorney#1 and six months later I was even more desperate for competent legal counsel. I again called Terzich and Ort; this time, Shannon was available for an initial consult/discussion, so I met with her. I cannot recommend Shannon Ort strongly enough as a family lawyer. She was polite, responsive, smart, and professional at all times. I am guessing that my case was more difficult than most because my first two attorneys made numerous mistakes and opposing counsel was high combative and very difficult (I'd describe opposing counsel as the dirty, slimy people that are the butt of every "lawyer joke"). Shannon advised me through all aspects of my very difficult divorce. Her services were worth every penny as she calmed all of my fears and concerns, most of which were rooted in my poor, prior legal counsel. She politely rebuked me when I had some hair-brained legal idea when she needed to do so (she is not a "yes lawyer") but she also accepted my input when I had a good legal idea. During trial, she was similarly fantastic. She is smart on her feet and she was able to get an immediate resolution on one of the four issues before the judge when my ex misspoke during trial. She also "refused to take the bait" when opposing counsel repeatedly slung mud at me during trial; instead, Shannon remained calm, polite, and professional. You might find it somewhat weird that I am emphasizing Shannon's professionalism, but it was a striking contrast to opposing counsel who was abrasive, obnoxious, and combative. I still have not yet received the judge's ruling on my divorce, but I am certain that Shannon provided the absolute best legal counsel possible during what was a very difficult divorce. Shannon's post-trial submission to court is, in my non-legal opinion, a very strong and convincing document, particularly compared to opposing counsel's document.

Absolute horrible experience and I hope no one will ever have to go through what i have with Hess and jendro . They seem to only care about taking your money . My experience with Tim Simonson was exceptional. My reason for hiring Tim was because of a custody dispute. Tim was very kind and very patient with me. I had a lot of doubts and worries and anxieties throughout the entire case, which was very long. Tim is very knowledgeable, and very intelligent. He knows the law and he knows your rights and where you fall within your rights. Tim fought for my son and I and he won our case in full. I think that, when people are dealing with any type of dispute and are part of the legal system, it is hard to remember or understand the process, and the time it takes to get some kind of relief. Having an attorney like Tim who stays calm and listens to you is probably the number 1 thing a person needs to find when looking to hire an attorney. I truly believe Tim was a God send to my case. I had spoken to other attorneys before finding Tim and it seemed like they were just going to settle and not fight for what was right- as if it was not worth it. The amount of gratitude I have for Tim cannot be put in words. He is a really great attorney and a genuine person

Marcus is Great! Since my divorce, Marcus is the third and last attorney I will ever retain. Marcus was able to cut through the emotional bs and mountain of supposed "issues" raised by my ex wife. And when all was said and done, my ex lost her motion and my rights to my wonderful kids were retained. Marcus'es integrity and interest in doing what's best for kids is evident.
