I am on a fixed limited income. Thought this place would be cheaper then regular attorney (that is the impression they put out). It is NOT! I constantly had to call attorney to find out what was going on. (I was still in the same house as my now ex...and KNEW what his lawyer had done, as he had told me)....yet it took my lawyer weeks to respond. My case has been closed for two months, I was told they would refund what wasn't used of my funds, yet I've still not gotten the money back. I am however still getting the monthly billing envelope..........and have to call many times to get an account balance. Financial dept needs to step up their game......... I do not recommend this place!

This is a special Legal Clinic, and I called both this and it's other location twice last month and left messages, and neither one of the locations responded to me. Luckily, I was able to find help with my issue from another agency. Definitely would not advise these people, as they did not even have the courtesy to call me back, as I had left my messages which was the only option they gave me, requesting a call back, which never happened. They just leave you hanging, Wasting your time, and possibly causing you more issues because of Any Time deadlines you might have. Therefore, I would suggest you go to them in person and hope that somebody is there, or that you use a different agency all together, so that you know that competent people will actually respond to you, even if it's just to tell you that they cannot assist you. Good luck!

Terrible terrible experience. Rude and completely unhelpful receptionist who knew very little about our case yet still belittled us when we had questions. Told us we owed more than we actually owed. Never returned our calls or messages. Avoid these people if you can. And if anyone from the clinic sees this please make necessary changes. The people in your community deserve it.

This isn't a review for Lee Tyler himself, as I have never worked with him directly. This is based on the receptionist I spoke to yesterday. One would expect that when you call a professional business, you would be greeted with the name of the business you are calling and the name of who you are speaking with. Neither of these things were given to me, and the woman I spoke to actually seemed like she was annoyed I even called in the first place. She answered the phone with only a "Hello", and I had to ask if I called the office of Lee Tyler Law. Something which I shouldn't have had to do. Getting that type of tone and lack of professionalism from her end really makes you second guess whether this is a business you would want to give your hard earned money to, especially when dealing with the sensitive nature of a custody issue. Granted I cannot say anything negative, or positive of Lee himself as I never met him; his receptionist turned me away from even wanting to meet him based on the lack of professionalism and courtesy a potential client deserves. Maybe she was having a bad day, I don't know.

Having gone through a nasty custody battle, I can say with surety that two things are true: 1) Had I followed Patty's advice, which was given calmly, clear, cogent, and salient, I would have achieved the results I wanted. 2) I have a deep respect for Patty, for the way she works, for the transparency she shows, and for the way she was (and is) always on my side - but not afraid to tell me when I'm wrong. Patty is intelligent, wonderful, honest, and diligent. I not only respect her, but I like her. She has good values, I could trust her, and I could run thoughts and ideas by her and count on her honest opinion. Working with someone like her made the process I went through infinitely easier. I've been so grateful to have Dan Margolin and Erin Holbrook Johnson as my legal counsel. They were incredibly helpful with modifications to my divorce judgment a few years after it was finalized, including spousal and child support, gaining access to my past professional work and other items due to changing circumstances. Throughout the entire process they listened to my concerns, answered questions and let me know legally what was and was not relevant to my case. Most important to me and what sets them apart, I felt they cared about my challenging circumstances and advocated for me month after month while also being mindful of costs vs. benefits. I hired Sean Stephens of Stephens & Margolin at the recommendation of a friend, and in turn would highly recommend Sean to anyone in need of an excellent family law attorney. My divorce involved guardianship issues as well as somewhat complex asset issues involving an operating company, a holding company and several pieces of real estate. Sean is very experienced, was able to understand all the different pieces, and was excellent at communicating all of the pieces to the court in simple understandable language. Sean also has an excellent team in his own office, as well as excellent court respected experts. Sean was reasonable in settlement negotiations however my divorce went to trial. Sean was excellent in trial. Both his prepared written arguments as well as his arguments in court were very clear and concise. Sean is an excellent trial attorney, and was successful in achieving a very favorable result in court. I would highly recommend Sean to anyone in need of an excellent family law attorney.
