Thankful doesn’t even begin to describe how we feel about Benjamin Lewis and McCarter East. Ben did an outstanding job on our case. He always made it a point to make sure we understood what was going on and kept us constantly updated. He made the process less stressful and was always so patient with us. We never felt rushed during our phone calls or meetings. His assistant, Ashlie, is so great and quick to reply to emails or calls. We never felt out of the loop. They make a great team. If your looking for a team that actually cares about you and your case then I cannot recommend Benjamin Lewis and McCarter East enough. Mr Moore has been an absolute blessing. We spent 2 years going back and forth trying to settle my dad's estate, and he was the one who really advocated for us and ensured that things worked out despite all the hiccups and curve balls. I retained Mr. Ben Lewis as my attorney after a call back from him as a result of an online consultation and meeting in his office. This has to be the best decision I have ever made concerning legal issues. A summary judgment had been filed against me three days after my first attorney withdrew from my case. I proceeded pro se' and I lost the summary judgment it was granted in the plaintiffs favor. Mr. Lewis took my case telling me that summary judgments were very rarely overturned. But Mr. Lewis walked into the courtroom on the day of court, he very prepared and confident and he overturned my summary judgment winning the case. I was proud to have Mr. Lewis by my side that day in court. Mr. Lewis will be on the top of my list if I need to retain council in the future.

Every time I called Mr. Hogan himself answered. He always answered my questions and addressed my concerns thoroughly, professionally, and accurately. He is very kind and understanding. So happy Hunter represented my family in a custody case that pretty much had been dragging on/off for 3 years. Three attorneys later and I finally didn’t feel like my money had been wasted! Although my case was complicated and during covid, Hunter still was able to get me the most favorable outcome in mediation! I greatly appreciated Miranda, who was always quick to email or call back with any and everything. I personally haven’t experienced such responsiveness when it comes to attorneys and their offices. If my family needs services in Tennessee in the future, we will definitely use Hunter again. Can’t recommend his office enough. My family and I are now getting ready to move to the beach with family. This attorney didn't do right by the tenants of KingsRidge apartments. If Mr. Walsh had done a block of sale, we would have gotten all our rent money back for the conditions we had to live in. Rural Development got there settlement and they offered us a rental voucher, but now they have no money to pay their part of the rent. So now wherever the tenants moved to we have to pay all the rent until funds are available. We were lied to and have been mistreated, so now I'm thinking of hiring my own attorney for justice. I would not recommend this attorney nor his associates.

They took money for consultation. Told me to call when ready to move forward. When I called to file I was told "Mrs. Rushton does not think you can afford the retainer.". I was never told what that amount was. I do know that the 30 min consult fee must have included time to be told vague details of a car and client that had nothing to do with my case. If some tells you they will represent you and then back out at the last min when you need them it's shady. I would not recommend this firm. This is the second review because the first does not show up.

My first engagement with Kristin Amonette was exceptional. She took the reins of a very complex case and restored sanity and order to the process. I found her to be prepared as well as aggressive when she needed to be but advised me on multiple strategies to consider. However, my disappointment with her and the firm in general and why this is a 3 star review and not a 5 star is because she and the firm do not mange their clients well. It would sometimes take WEEKS to get calls back or follow through on important issues. I would frequently leave 5+ messages before getting a return call. I often felt like the firm would forget I was even a client, often having to retell the same information multiple times to get back up to speed, rather than the firm just being too busy to be responsive. I realize that attorneys take on more clients than they can handle in order to stay busy and make more money, but servicing your clients during very delicate negotiations where time is of the essence are table stakes for the amount of money being spent on this service.

Attorney Thornton represented me and was wonderful. It was emotional for me and looking back I am so glad I had her in my corner. Although she didn’t call me every day, I know she was trying to keep my fees down because she was extremely reasonable with her fees and time. I know that she has a lot of other cases because she is great at what she does, but she would work behind the scenes and gave me updates as I requested. I appreciate her not trying to rack up unnecessary fees or expenses at my costs. She didn’t always tell me what I wanted to hear, but she was straightforward and I respect that because she didn’t give me false hope. I knew what to expect whether I liked it or not. She also let me know anytime there were delays and why and continued working my case through COVID and all the shutdowns when things ran slower. Looking back I may not have always liked what she told me, but I know without a doubt she was honest with me. Her staff was wonderful and kind especially Jesse! I hope i never need another lawyer but if I do I will call her again.

Do not hire Amanda Thornton as your divorce attorney! I’ve never publicly written a poor review, but feel it’s necessary in this circumstance to help others. She doesn’t care about her clients’ outcomes and does absolutely nothing to fight for them. Ms. Thornton never offered any guidance and only did the bare minimum even when asked directly for advice. It’s very obvious she chooses the path of least resistance for herself. She’s very slow to respond (sometimes 2-4 weeks on important, pressing issues) and just blames everything on Covid. I wish my friend had chosen someone else as I believe the outcome could have been very different.
