We needed a fighter, and Bryan put on his boxing gloves for us and won our match. It was scary for our family as my grandson was taken by his other grandmother who took him out of school for the week and then took him to Corpus from the Austin area. We had to track her down, drive to Corpus and get him back. While my husband and daughter were on their drive, Cassie and I were in constant text - We were all on a mission to get that boy in his momma's arms again. After two horrible experiences with family law attorneys, but not willing to give up the fight for my son, I decided to give Matthew Hill an opportunity. My initial consultation I was on the defense with Mr. Hill because of my frustration with my divorce decree and an ex who I felt was breaking the decree left and right and “getting away with it”. I was very open about what I wanted changed (and it’s quite a bit) but most importantly wanted my son to come to school with me, as I am a teacher. He was quite blunt, telling me what I wanted would need to happen in steps, if at all, and he can’t guarantee the outcome. Frustration set in again, but didn’t last long.
