I've been using this Law Firm's services for far longer than I ever intended to. Since 2014, I have been working with Ms. Skinner. Once I decided to act definitively, she took all my information, and was able to help me stay result oriented throughout a divorce, custody battle, parental right termination, and adoption. No one WANTS to have this many fights, but if you're contemplating entering into the arena of divorce, I would recommend this firm. This law office used to have Derrick Lancaster as a lawyer & he didn't write my divorce paperwork for my ex correctly, so I needed a correction. He doesn't know anything about military law in my opinion since he got the divorce decree wrong by not including important information on there. He also would Not return calls when contacted to try to resolve problems. Don't hire this guy for a military divorce! He doesn't get it right. Writing review since at one point he worked for this firm. Found out after review he doesn't work there anymore.

Jessica Skinner and her staff are outstanding! We hired her in 2016 after firing 2 other San Angelo attorneys that did nothing for us but take our retainers. We had been been fighting for custody of my kids since 2013 from a mother using parental alienation tactics and not following her court order and finally was able to retain a dedicated and moral lawyer who stepped up and was not afraid to battle for what was right. Mrs Skinner and her team promptly respond, in fact when she was not available at times to take action due to her being in court-her team/staff took the initiative and action to assure the situation was assessed. She is professional and just and will fight for you till the end! We won primary custody of our my kids in 2017 with modified visitation for the mother. We had to put down a higher retainer compared to our former 2 fired attorneys HOWEVER, Mrs Skinner took more action in 6 months after retaining her than any lawyer had in a year! Her retainer is worth you investing your trust that she will get you results and not just sit around or be afraid to go to battle for you against your opponent’s attorney no matter if they are well known SA attorneys or not. She is hands on and we are blessed to have found her because she fought for us and our case was very complicated at times. I was very excited to refer him to someone close to me based on others experience with him. His team tells you everything you want to hear and even works with you when you don’t have enough to put down. I completely regret referring my loved one to hire him. I went to all the meetings and felt very confident. But then Robles staff changed and then he moved offices. We felt like we were being ignored. We had a hearing and a zoom meeting was set up before hand. We waited and waited and no meeting was even done. Then the hearing was canceled. It was almost 4 months since we heard from anyone from Robles team and another hearing was made. Going into the hearing, my loved one and I were completely confused on what was going on. There was no communication. They even told us the number to the zoom meeting 30 min before hand. We thought we were going to the office. Then also to our surprise Robles had someone else representing us named Chris. We had no idea about anything. So we didn’t agree to a the hearing and then the next day Robles dropped us . To my knowledge everything was miscommunication on there part. We were devastated and didn’t know what to do. They even told us they would reimburse us anything leftover stage one but then later changed what they said and kept it. We over paid him in my opinion and we were left in the gutter by them. Look I know how everyone speaks highly of this law firm but they don’t see us as people and they only cover up for themselves. We were in need and they welcomed us just to take from us and not even help us out like they said. I really liked Robles himself but his staff was not professional. I think they are getting to much clientele to handle.

Thief! No help! I set up a $150 consultation so see if I could get a simple matter resolved( changing the medical support order in my child support) and I was told I was missing a paper in the order and he could not help! I wish I had posted about this evil vile man three years ago when I used him as a lawyer! I called this awful man 8-7-2020 he let me know that he sold his practice when asked why his clients were not informed, his response was well I already have their money their problem! Three years ago I had to find a lawyer in less than a week. Because of him I lost custody of my daughter to her father who just a year before said that she was an inconvenience! This man allowed my ex husband to lie under oath and the provost judge was just as worthless! She did, in fact, speak to me on the phone so you now have an attorney that lies, concerning. Additionally, she is correct, I am not her client. Her client is my grandson and his other grandmother who she wouldn’t respond to after we BOTH paid $700 each to retain her services. Beware Original Review: We did not hesitate to pay her up front and she has not responded to calls for two weeks. When I did finally get her on the phone today she was rude and said they were on quarantine from COVID but I was unaware that her phone was also in quarantine. There is a little boy whose safety and well being is hanging in the balance and this lawyer should be ashamed of herself for not returning calls, doing what she says she would do and then being rude when called on the carpet about her behavior. The bar association would be very interested in her behavior I am sure. Amazing how after that call suddenly we are now getting the papers to sign. Unacceptable! I would think twice about using this person as your attorney.

One cannot put a price on a piece of mind, something I felt from very 1st consultation. Never did I question his integrity or knowledge. To me he brings to life the term "to show up and show out." I got James as my attorney after my final agreement had been signed. James had to fight to get the final agreement changed because I would have been paying her bills for the rest of her life. He worked with me when my money ran out and trusted I would pay him later. He discounted my fees because he knew I had been taken advantage of. He gave me other legal advice not related to divorce. When you are with James you really feel like he is on your side and not just trying to close a deal. The only problem is he is so good that he stays busy a lot.
