I'll preface this review by saying this firm was unable to take my case due to the specific court in which my traffic ticket will be held. I was calling around looking for a lawyer to take on my speeding ticket and I've had a hard time finding someone. The woman who answered the phone when I called, Marissa, was EXTREMELY helpful. She provided me with a wealth of information regarding the court, the ticket, and was even able to refer me to another lawyer she would recommend to help me. I didn't have the pleasure of working with this law firm, but Marissa was exceptionally helpful, kind and patient and I would absolutely contact them again if I should have any need in the future.

My husband and I were in a custody battle going on for close to a year and a half! Towards the end of it before having a final hearing set we decided to switch attorneys and it was literally the best decision we ever made! Calla did so much for us she was honest about everything and truly looked out for what was in the best interest of her client! If you are honest and you tell your attorney exactly what is going on she will get you the best outcome for you and your family the number one thing is you have to be honest and tell the truth to your attorney they cannot help if you’re dishonest!! A couple months later ...... my husband and I have sole custody of his kids! The kids are happy and our family is now complete!! Thank you so much Calla!!! You are literally the best!!!!

The receptionist (or whoever answers the phone) is probably the most well-mannered and sweet person who has ever worked at an attorney’s office and who I’ve ever spoken to over the phone. Patricia Cooke did a great job on my divorce. She was very reasonable in price and her professionalism is unparalleled. Her paralegal Jennifer was very helpful when I had questions and was always able to get me the answers I needed when I called or emailed her. Utilizing Jennifer and only using Patricia when Jenn couldn't help kept the overall cost of my divorce down significantly. Jennifer was very patient with me and I appreciate all that these ladies did for me.

Patricia Stanley and her paralegal Jenn were awesome! Patricia is the most affordable attorney in Johnson county and the best! Her paralegal Jenn is well versed and is able to handle a lot of issues which helped keep costs down. I was able to wrap up a divorce in 6 months that had child custody issues/ a business to divide/ and a ton of assets. Friends with similar divorces couldn’t believe it was taken care of in less than 2 yrs! I highly recommend her and her team!

I called in today to try to continue services for my father. Unfortunately, he had a severe stroke that left him unable to speak or move and we were trying to get all of his legal matters finished. As I was speaking with the front desk person to try to schedule a consultation with the lawyer, she made it nearly impossible, stating over and over that she didn’t think the lawyer could do anything for us. Additionally, she kept saying “well, he didn’t finish paying” in an argumentative manner, as if he had done this on my purpose. Yes, he didn’t because he had a fatal stroke that left him in a coma for quite some time and now he’s recovering ????. Not sure why she had to be so rude and difficult.

David has represented me twice now to help with child support enforcement. My ex has supervised visitation and very little contact with us due to prior abuse, so the prospect of being in the same room with him was very daunting. Filing for divorce was terrifying for me. I had been in an abusive marriage for 23 years. David Kulesz was referred to me by a close friend. I knew in my first interview with Mr. Kulesz that he would help me and my two children out of this bad situation. The point in the interview where I knew I was hiring David Kulesz went something like this: I said, “I’m going to want to sign the first deal presented by my husband and get the divorce over with, I always cave, that’s what I’ve done for years.” David responded, “I’m not going to let that happen. I’m going to take care of you and your family.” Hearing that simple sentence brought me instant relief. I could feel the hesitation and fear leaving my mind. David did exactly what he said he would do, made sure me & my family are secure. I feel safe. He has an exemplary team at Landrith & Kulesz, from Krisha Harlan at the front desk to his paralegal Kathy Calhoun. Without them, I know my family would still be in that suppressive relationship. I will be forever grateful for these incredible people and the immaculate service they provided for me.

Lisa Powel is everything you want and need when choosing a lawyer. She is professional, intelligent, honest, and kind. Ms. Powell cares about you and about your case--she takes the time to answer your questions and explain what can be a confusing process. Whatever your legal issue, she is extremely knowledgeable and will fight for you. Her skill in the courtroom itself is equally impressive. Don't waste your time interviewing other lawyers, you want Ms. Powell. Lawyers are expensive, but Ms. Powell is worth every penny!! Can't recommend highly enough.

I'm typically not the kind of person who would post a public Google review, especially for a law firm. But I just noticed how some person gave this law firm a 1-star rating along with a volatile, jumbled tirade of spewed words that were clearly meant to damage the public reputation of good people. It ought to be a crime to spam 1-star ratings like the one below. Well then. Here's my experience: An amazing team of caring individuals who make it their singular prerogative to protect you and your family, and especially your rights as a parent and human being. I never thought I'd be in this crappy situation. But I can't imagine going through this without the support and backing of these incredible people. A highly distinguished Texas family law judge (now retired) recommended I call Christine Leatherberry. (I recommend you call her as well). I can't tell you how grateful I am for her. From our very first meeting, Christine has been nothing short of a lifeboat in the middle of chaos. She has a rare and comforting balance of sincere empathy (she's a mom who "gets it"), sharp intuition (she can "read" every situation and see every angle), and effective results (she's a damn good lawyer). Whenever I had an issue or worry: a simple phone call or quick email to Christine and her team was all it took: an immediate response, with immediate results, every single time. Even if Christine was in a meeting at the time of my call or email, I never had to wait for someone to take care of me: her team was always there for me to handle my every immediate need. It was clear that I didn't just have a single lawyer to help me: I had a whole team. The firm works together and supports each other, in order to best support me and my family. And that's worth everything to me. Highly recommended. 5/5 stars. (And it's only 5 because there's not an option for 6) Thankful and Protected. I don’t even know where to start. My attorney was Tamika A. She refused to represent my daughter to the best of her abilities. I provided her recording, audio and video messages of my daughter being put in dangerous positions and she refused to present it. Court orders have been broken over and over again and she refused to report it or do anything to have this corrected. I paid a higher fee for this attorney because I expected better quality. Instead, all I got was attitude, multiple bills for calls that she asked me to schedule to talk about nothing that helped my daughter’s case and bills for calls to help her paralegal access videos as if I work in IT. She is incapable of setting her own feelings aside to do what is right. I would never recommend her to anyone. I tried to retain Lisa after and she stated that I can not switch attorneys and that she will be releasing me as her client. She has been trying to quit since I asked her to stop scheduling $400.00 phone calls for conversations that can be had via email. I feel like I was completely taken advantage of but I had another attorney ready on speed dial because I honestly saw this coming. Retain at your own risk. She even refused to file for discovery. My aunt is an attorney and informed me that it seemed as though she was purposely letting the time for it expire for this case as though she was helping the opposing side. Her and no other attorney that I spoke with could figure out why someone would do this to their own case. This behavior is not only not acceptable but I feel that it is also unethical.

Mr. Turner was recommended to me by some one on Nextdoor. I just asked my wife for a divorce, and didn't know where to turn for the next step. It was like finding a Consumer Reports Best Buy in legal services. He isn't the cheapest, but he wasn't the most expensive either. His value proved itself many times over. If you find yourself looking for an attorney, please consider him. My wife hired a one of those expensive lawyers, ranked as one of the top 100 Lawyers of Texas, and fought over the garden hose. From my initial meeting with Atty Turner, I knew I had some one on my side. Little did he know how contentious this divorce would be, yet, he stuck through it till the end, and despite my wife spending tens of thousands of dollars on her “high powered” attorney, she still had to pay me to end the marriage. It took almost 18 months, endless discovery, mediation, and a bit of frustration, but he never gave up. All my friends said men don't get a fair shake in divorce here in Texas. I think that's because they didn't hire Attorney Andrew Turner, of the Turner law Firm.

I cannot recommend Ms. Gayden and her associates enough. From the beginning we were confident and comfortable with her handling our custody case. She and Rachel were just an email or call/txt away. Ms. Gayden was definitely a force in the courtroom! Even when the pandemic hit, she and her team continued to work diligently on our case keeping us up to date at all times. The outcome was more than we hoped for. Crystal and her team of fireballs Rachel, Caitlin and Brianna have provided outstanding services in favor of my daughter and I. The empathy is there, the understanding is there, the humanity is there.. I would like to point out that you get what you pay for. With that being said, the service I received with Mr. York and his staff was above and beyond. I was able to walk into the court room confident and stress free. I appreciate their hard work and attention to me personally. The whole experience was far better than I imagined. Out of all the attorneys in Navarro County, Robert York is the answer when it comes to family law and divorce. Robert has been representing me since April 2017 and I have been nothing but impressed so far! He is someone I highly recommend and I know for a fact by watching other attorneys in the court room that Robert is the best of the best. I know from personal experience he is always two steps ahead of the other party and always comes to court prepared. He is very sharp and knowledgeable! Robert truly does care about his clients. Robert York has been our family lawyer since March 2017. He and his office staff are very welcoming, and Bryn, his paralegal, is an absolute blessing. They are quick to respond, explain, and work through the details of your case wth you. Robert knows the law well, takes care of business, and gets results. With Robert, our family realized the closure so desired. Family court is a difficult place to be, but he and his law office made the experience as pleasant as possible.
