Not only was Scott successful in the custody piece, he was able to help me win every aspect of the case in the best interest of my son. I can’t say enough positive about Gracie Wood Shepard. I worked with her a few years ago when she was newer and she did a wonderful job repping me in my divorce. So great, in fact, that I hired her again recently for a pretty outrageously complex series of legal issues. She is organized, calm, collected, BRILLIANT, legally savvy and very well-educated and clearly knows the law. She is also well-supported by her firm and shared that she collaborates with the other attorneys in her office often...which I love. She was very cool and articulate in court. She was bullied big time by the other lawyers and stood her ground without any issues. The other lawyers tried a bunch of slippery moves, too, and she was unwavering. She’s also a bargain at her current rate and I felt her charges were very fair. My only issue with leaving this review is that she might get too busy to rep me in the future!

I am so thankful to Scott Milner for his graceful representation of me in my divorce. I first met with Amy Lambert, who quickly saw that my case would not likely mediate, and she passed me to Scott, so that we would be prepared in case we had to go to trial. We did go to trial, and Scott Milner helped me to get the best outcome for my 3 children and myself. He had a very difficult case in my situation, and he had to defend me against tough accusations. Scott is so good at his job, he knows how the legal system works, he is very well-respected in the courts, and I feel so fortunate to have found him.

I hired Amy while going through a divorce and she was referred by a friend and she is quite good when focusing on my case. She is regularly unresponsive and even with repeated emails she was still unresponsive. I had to ask her to delegate the paper filing work to her paralegal or secretary and they helped move it a little forward. We are more than two months behind filing the signed mediation papers. To me without clear communication with her clients her actions are quite unacceptable. Or she treats clients different which is equally inappropriate.

Simply put, Sam is head and shoulders above his peers in family law. Sam got results, as he navigated an incredibly complex, multi-state custody case. I personally hired 6 separate attorneys from 3 separate states during a multi-year case. I was looking for a result, not a service. I can't say enough about working with Sam. I’m certain that Joe and his team see cases like ours all the time. However, when your biggest love is being a father and a divorce threatens the possibility of not having your children 50/50. A fear of uneasy sets in and you can’t get that out of your mind. Joe studied my case. He asked real questions and he needed full transparency. We gave him everything he asked for. You can hire any kind of lawyer for their hourly fee. There is a market for that where you can buy their services. However, there is not a market for genuine caring and kindness. Jimmy and Tracy do care and will care about your case beyond the outstanding legal advise they provide. A hard combination to find nowadays.

Micah and his team are phenomenal at what they do. MIcah is very diligent about helping keep you calm during a daunting process. He not only holds you accountable to what you say is the right thing, he will push to make sure you are keeping the long term abreast of mind especially when there are children involved. There were times I confused how calm he is in the pocket with a lack of aggressiveness, but that couldn't be further from the case. When it was crunch time, he delivered without me having to compromise my principles. This review is long over due. There is no way to put into words how wonderful my experience was with Micah and Kim. Divorce was the most difficult life experience I’ve ever had to navigate. The thoughtful and caring guidance I received helped me maintain my sanity throughout the process. I was an emotional mess and unable to make decisions. I appreciated the calm and calculated approach to handling the seemingly endless and often ridiculous attacks from the Ex. Despite the circumstances I actually looked forward to meeting with my team. I can honestly say that I miss seeing my new friends at this office. Possibly more importantly, my case was settled efficiently and ethically. They say only lawyers win in court but everyone involved knows I WON this one. Micah came through in a huge way for me. I’ve passed his card on three times. I’ll continue to do so.

I hired Micah Royer to help me with child support modification and enforcement. I reside out of state, so I trusted Micah to handle everything without me ever having to be present. What is normally a fairly simple process was unsurprisingly challenging due to the other party, but Micah and his paralegal, Kim, took a very trying situation and handled it with care and ease. I always felt that Micah had my best interests in mind and was ready to do whatever was necessary to see those interests pursued. He is not only skilled at what he does, but he handles his cases with compassion and care. It is easy to see that he truly cares about his work. Chris through and through was a professional who understands the system and will prepare you on what might happen and will happen. He's honest and gets straight to the point of the situation. I had been dealing with a child's medical payment lawsuit that I should've never been sued for as well as TX AG's Office mistakenly setting up wrong child support payments amounts that without Chris, the issue would've never gotten resolved. The BEST FAMILY Law Attorney I have ever worked with. 1 year ago I was blindsided with a separation and custody battle. It all started with my ex wanting to leave making false child abuse and domestic abuse claims against me. I highly recommend Ryan Dougay for custody issues. My daughter hired him to represent her in custody of her 2 children. As a mother fighting for her children and a grandmother having to watch, it was a very difficult time. After meeting with Ryan, he put our minds at ease. This man was an ad lietem for my daughter and she is a troubled teen. He is placing her in an unsafe environment with a family member known for abuse and sexual abuse. They are drug addicts and prostitutes and he wants my teen girl to go live with these people OUT OF THE STATE OF TEXAS SO HE CAN GET PAID . He does not care about anything but the money. period. HE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT PEOPLE OR CHILDREN,what so ever. He is very rude, calls people names,he is a snake. HE IS A SHARK OUT FOR HIS OWN. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS SCUM. I would love to express how amazing David Kazen and Mary his legal assistant are in handling my case. He has defended me through unjust accusations and fought for my daughters and myself . Both he and Mary possess such an empathetic demeanor throughout my case and have been comforting and helpful during our professional time together. They both have had ethical and legal advice the entire time, and never made me feel like I was less than an important client. In times where I have been worried about ongoing issues occurring I have been able to reach them immediately even on the weekends. I would highly recommend David Kazen's girl to anyone needing a just and ethical family lawyer to represent them in their case. I only wish I had of found him sooner as the other attorneys I worked with in Austin were unethical in many ways and did little to nothing to help end this process. David took over our case after our attorney passed away. His office came recommended from our precious attorney’s office. David jumped in and listened to our case and circumstances and was fully committed. David was even not too familiar with military retirement issues but allowed us to be fully involved in every step and was appropriately aggressive with opposing council to encourage a timely response.
