I would love to express how amazing David Kazen and Mary his legal assistant are in handling my case. He has defended me through unjust accusations and fought for my daughters and myself . Both he and Mary possess such an empathetic demeanor throughout my case and have been comforting and helpful during our professional time together. They both have had ethical and legal advice the entire time, and never made me feel like I was less than an important client. In times where I have been worried about ongoing issues occurring I have been able to reach them immediately even on the weekends. I only wish I had of found him sooner as the other attorneys I worked with in Austin were unethical in many ways and did little to nothing to help end this process. David took over our case after our attorney passed away. His office came recommended from our precious attorney’s office. David jumped in and listened to our case and circumstances and was fully committed. David was even not too familiar with military retirement issues but allowed us to be fully involved in every step and was appropriately aggressive with opposing council to encourage a timely response. The service and respect I've received after I've been with them for years has dramatically changed. I think if you are exploring options I would continue to explore. Extreme focus on billing and not service...seems like we were never organized and on point. Constantly repeating work. Its like I have to defend myself in every conversation. Jimmy and his team are amazing. The depth of experience and ability to advise on my divorce was incredible. It became very clear to me that they work very hard at what they do. Kimberley Evans has been my divorce attorney many years. There aren't enough nouns for me to describe my experience with her as my attorney. Her tenacity, drive, and hard work are apparent. Chris through and through was a professional who understands the system and will prepare you on what might happen and will happen. He's honest and gets straight to the point of the situation. I had been dealing with a child's medical payment lawsuit that I should've never been sued for as well as TX AG's Office mistakenly setting up wrong child support payments amounts that without Chris, the issue would've never gotten resolved. Chris Is the best lawyer I could have ever been lucky enough to work with. The idea of getting a divorce was so hard to even think about but Chris made it very comfortable for me because he understood the difficulty , the decisions and how brave one must be as to leave hard marriage. The BEST FAMILY Law Attorney I have ever worked with. 1 year ago I was blindsided with a separation and custody battle. It all started with my ex wanting to leave making false child abuse and domestic abuse claims against me. I highly recommend Ryan Dougay for custody issues. My daughter hired him to represent her in custody of her 2 children. As a mother fighting for her children and a grandmother having to watch, it was a very difficult time. After meeting with Ryan, he put our minds at ease. He gave us straight forward answers and explained what would happen. He believed in my daughter and had my granddaughters best interest at heart. I have nothing but positive things to say about Mrs. Lackey. My case with her is nearing the one year mark and her dedication to my case has been exceptional. I know it's supposed to be what attorneys are known for is navigating the legal system but I feel she goes above and beyond. She does not guess or give you a "well maybe that can work." She studies each aspect of the case to give you the most honest answer possible. I have no complaints and believe she is very talented in providing great counsel. Highly recommend!

When my ex-husband decided to take me back to court for custody, I could not have asked for a better attorney. Scott Milner and Donna went above and beyond. Not only was Scott successful in the custody piece, he was able to help me win every aspect of the case in the best interest of my son. I can’t say enough positive about Gracie Wood Shepard. I worked with her a few years ago when she was newer and she did a wonderful job repping me in my divorce. So great, in fact, that I hired her again recently for a pretty outrageously complex series of legal issues. She is organized, calm, collected, BRILLIANT, legally savvy and very well-educated and clearly knows the law. She is also well-supported by her firm and shared that she collaborates with the other attorneys in her office often...which I love. She was very cool and articulate in court. She was bullied big time by the other lawyers and stood her ground without any issues. The other lawyers tried a bunch of slippery moves, too, and she was unwavering. She’s also a bargain at her current rate and I felt her charges were very fair. My only issue with leaving this review is that she might get too busy to rep me in the future!

I am so thankful to Scott Milner for his graceful representation of me in my divorce. I first met with Amy Lambert, who quickly saw that my case would not likely mediate, and she passed me to Scott, so that we would be prepared in case we had to go to trial. I hired Amy while going through a divorce and she was referred by a friend and she is quite good when focusing on my case. She is regularly unresponsive and even with repeated emails she was still unresponsive. I had to ask her to delegate the paper filing work to her paralegal or secretary and they helped move it a little forward. We are more than two months behind filing the signed mediation papers. To me without clear communication with her clients her actions are quite unacceptable. Or she treats clients different which is equally inappropriate.
