Emmett Pilgreen is wonderful to work with. He keeps your situation real and honest and doesn't beat around the bush. He lets you know every outcome that could happen and leaves nothing to the imagination. He recently helped with a custody case and was very well respected within the judicial system. Mr. Pilgreen is a no-nonsense lawyer; he is very matter of fact and does not sugar coat anything! He is aggressive which is what I was looking for in an attorney! He is the type of lawyer that wants to get straight to the courtroom which is great but when you are going through a challenging time in your life you will have questions along the way. My initial visit was great, after that I had questions between that visit and my court date. His receptionist Stacy is nice and sweet but unfortunately, she got my questions/messages mixed up A LOT. Stacy would call me back with an answer and when that answer required follow up questions, she was not knowledgeable. Stacy would always say, “I will have to ask Mr. Pilgreen and call you back.” The response time was not always quick and most times I had to call back as I hadn’t received a response back. His paralegal Joy is on top of things, she is very knowledgeable and knows the law! I wish all my communications could have been directly with Joy instead of Stacy. Joy is defiantly an asset to his office! Mr. Pilgreen is very expensive compared to others in the area, every single call you make to his office you will be charged, and every time his office calls you, there is a charge. I would recommend upfront finding out what his hourly rate is and keep up with your interactions with his office and at the end ask for an itemized statement from his office. If you have questions after your initial visit with him and before your court date, save them if possible until you meet with him again a few days before you go to court. If you have documentation you need to provide you must take it to his office directly, there is no email access for clients to email his office. Other than the communication issues with Stacy, I had no problems with his office and for that reason alone I think his office can improve. His office does not offer payment plans, you must pay in full before he starts your case, even if you put over half down, your case is not worked until payment is paid in full. Mr. Pilgreen knows the law very well; he won my family law case for me and for that I will give him 5 stars! In the end yes, he is pricey, but he is worth every penny! If I ever need a family law lawyer again, I will go back!

Have had Mr. Pilgreen help me with several issues and each time he has proven himself to be on top of the issues and was able to help me through each situation. He is down to earth and honest, tells it like it is. Very knowledgeable of the law and local authorities and knew exactly what to do and told me what to expect each step of the way. You will not regret going with him when you need it.
