Attorney Matuszak was very attentive and offered much understanding through the divorce process. Very clear/upfront and contrastive. This is my first time seeking legal counsel and the office created a very positive first experience.

My crazy ex wanted to make a statement by trying to get a restraining order against me after a bad breakup. I hired Ellen Matyas and she got the injunction dropped and made my ex look silly on the witness stand. Reasonably priced and she was a complete professional. Not sure about the rest of the firm but would highly recommend Ellen. I'll be contacting her in the future if I ever have any civil matters.

I was very Happy and impressed with my first consultation. Attorney Hoff listened to all of my concerns and then addressed my options. Including the fact that his junior partner would be a better fit for me because she could help me handle my situation and would cost me a lot less money than hiring him. That impressed me that his main priority wasn't the money he could make from me!!

I am very disappointed, I reach out to Darow due to his 5 star reviews. He called me on the phone for a consultation. Immediately into the call he was not on my side I could tell by his questions. He would not let me tell my story. And when I tried he told me to “MAKE IT QUICK” I visited family in a different state for 2 1/2 months offered to bring my son his mother declined. We have shared placment. Shortly after I left she filed a motion to change placement saying I moved out of state . I did not move I was visiting. Darrow continued to insist to me that I moved after telling him I didn’t every other word he said was so you plan to move back to Wisconsin on x date. I continued to explain to him that I did not move I visited my mother and family that I have not seen in 10 years. The only smart thing he said on that phone call was me and him won’t work out together. He must be a believer in men don’t have parenting rights. I would never recommend anyone to him I would avoid this attorney if you are a male in family court! He’s a boxer with an undefeated record that fought people he new he could beat. Not interested in anyone’s best interest besides his own. I don’t think he understands he works for you not you work for him!

Attorney Darrow did not listen to what I wanted or helped me to navigate through this process. I felt that he just wanted the money and I was another number to help him get money. He was rude and impersonal the whole entire time I had him as my lawyer. I ended up not keeping him as lawyer and went to my final court date without a lawyer.

While the outcome of my divorce was to my favor, I would not attribute that to Linda's efforts. I would say overall Linda's performance ebbed and flowed over the course of her representing me. She had good moments where she responded quickly and clearly but there were times where she didn't respond to questions at all and her communication was poor when she did. I also felt at times that she did not have respect for me and potentially some of her office staff when she appeared to be unprepared for court. I would say inconsistent but competent is most honest review I can provide. Lastly, if Linda had put in the same amount of effort in my case and exhibited as much passion defending me as she does responding to negative reviews, I probably wouldn't have fired her.

At first it seem like this was going to go very well! Trying to switch placement to me, but I barely heard from my lawyer here and then when my sons father went to jail all of a sudden we couldn't get the papers to him then we couldn't get them signed. It just seemed like she was too busy to really deal with me. They get you with the flat rate of $1200, but then to do anything that deals with the court room is another $2000. I do not recommend them. If I'm going to pay this money I would expect to hear from the lawyer more then 4 times in four months.

I had the pleasure of using attorney Ellen Rhodeman to represent me in my separation. I was nervous as I had never had to use a attorney in my life. As soon as I spoke with Ellen I could immediately tell that I had excellent representation on my side. In my case I wanted the legal side of things to go smoothly and I didn't want a long dragged out separation, thats exactly what I got. I could tell that Ellen was looking out for my best interest and was not looking to drag things along to get more money in attorney fees. She is a honest, smart, and overall just a fantastic attorney. Thank you Ellen for helping me through the most difficult time in my life. Attorney Reiley is an incredible advocate for her clients. She listens to her clients and gathers all of the relevant information to act on their behalf. She is quick to understand the facts of the case and communicate with her clients. Kathy is a warm and genuine person. Divorce is hard, even in the best of situations. Kathy helped with a particularly contentious divorce and was a port in a storm. I honestly cannot say enough good things about her and what an asset she has been to our family.

Kathleen Reiley is an outstanding attorney who was able to help make my divorce as smooth as possible. Kathleen knew her stuff and was able to guide me through every step. I retained Alison Krueger for a messy divorce. She made it sound like she had all the answers/solutions during our initial consultation. When it was time for court, she was nowhere near prepared. My ex-husband's attorney ate her for lunch. My ex hadn't produced any of the requested documentation. Instead of her doing a discovery, we go to court basically for nothing and with nothing. We didn't even have wage information. Needless to say, I had to let her go. Beware of her misleading information and nonchalant attitude. I do not recommend this attorney.

Teri Nelson has been an excellent, reliable and supportive lawyer for me. Her office staff is amazing, always ready to answer questions and in the know about the situation. I recommend this practice highly. It was recommended as one of the best in Milwaukee by a good friend of mine who is also a lawyer. He was right! Michelle Fitzgerald is a knowledgeable and compassionate lawyer. She fights hard for her clients, is efficient and gets the job done. During my divorce she taught me collaborative ways without being reactive to communications I'd receive. Unfortunately my divorce could not be done collaboratively. 20 years later - I now have a whole different set of needs as I move forward. I had to fire Atty Fitzgerald due to what I viewed as a complete lack of preparation and effort, which negatively impacted my case. I deeply regret it, and I hope this review helps someone else not make the same mistake I made. IMO. Update 6/2/21: not only is that response to my review dismissive and condescending, but it attempts to completely re-write history and blame-shift onto the judicial system. The lack of accountability is appalling IMO.

I was able to have a consultation with Laurie Bigsby within 24 hours of requesting the meeting. She was extremely knowledgeable about the student loan processes and time frames.
