I highly recommend Gerald Kane and his staff. I can't imagine working through an elder care plan and applying for VA benefits without them. They made a complex process painless and easy and cut through the red tape that my father would have faced had he attempted to apply for his VA benefits on his own. Oh, these attorneys! If your loved one(s) do not have tons of assets, then don't even bother calling. They just want to charge you an exorbitant amount for a consultation. I don't think so. To top it all off, the receptionist was awful and hung up while I was still on the phone. It's unfortunate and incredibly disrespectful.

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Gerry Kane on revising our wills. We found not only him but his entire staff to be true professionals. They spent a lot of time with us answering our questions, emailing drafts, and making corrections even while we were there. We were pleased to learn of additional services he offered. Things that we had never even considered, like the Legacy videos. He answered all of our questions, and thoroughly explained everything. The finished product was an entire folder full of information that someday our children will need to deal with. Everything is well indexed. I know Gerry also deals with elder care issues, and have already referred a friend to him for a consult. I trust that he knows the law, most importantly. I came to Hornstein awhile back with my siblings cause I heard they helped settle the issue of durable powers of attorney in Woodland Hills area, and we worked out a triangle system between the three of us as to who would take care of who and who would make decisions if one of us couldn’t make their own. Last year my brother got in an accident and I didn’t have to fight anyone on how to take care of him. He’s able to make his own decisions again, but it was worth it to make sure we were each covered.

I got the heads up that getting my estate together before I died would be a good idea after my parents left a pretty disorganized mess for me to sort out. They had a will, but hadn’t set up any provisions for probate and my family ended up with a lot less than my parents intended. So I checked into estate planning attorneys in Los Angeles. Can I just say that I’m really glad I found Steve? Super nice guy, I mean, above and beyond all the time. My estate is shaping up to be a lot easier for my kids to deal with someday, and I couldn’t be more satisfied.

Honestly, I never knew what trust administration was, and when I looked into it I still didn’t really get more than one or two things about it, but I knew I needed it in my estate plan. Wasn’t gonna travel that far for it though, so I kept my search for trust administration in the Woodland Hills sector. Glad I did. My best to Steve Hornstein, he gave his best to me!

I don’t write a lot of reviews but I was so happy and thankful for the good experience I had working with Ajalat & Ajalat Law and I thought it might help someone else who is looking for a personal injury lawyer. Everything about my experience with Greg Ajalat was awesome!! To begin with he told me he wanted to do some research before agreeing to take my case, because it was a complicated one. I could tell he wasn’t just going to take my money no matter what, and really wanted to be sure it made sense to move forward with my claim. At every step Mr. Ajalat kept me informed about what he was doing, how long it would take, and what possibilities we could expect. When there were several options, he talked me through them and didn’t pressure me at all to choose one or the other, just explained them to me and let me choose. There were no unexpected expenses. Even though my case was complicated and it was hard to predict how much the settlement would be, Mr. Ajalat gave me an estimate, and was able to get me an amount at the top of that range! The whole time I felt like I was talking to a real human being, who cared about my situation, thought carefully about things before making decisions, and genuinely wanted me to have a good experience with his firm. Mr. Ajalat was respectful and kind and made what could have been a very stressful situation much better. If you have a case of this type I recommend this firm so highly!

Lawrence Ajalat is my grandmothers lawyer and has been accessible and helpful every time we have needed him. I don’t live in Los Angeles so when I contacted him on her behalf recently I was surprised and pleased that he made time to help us with a small change in her will. I only had two days to assist her and although he already had a very full schedule, he made sure we got the work done. Lindsey Munyer of Keystone Law Group is, after careful investigation, the person (and law group) I decided to go with to help me understand my new inheritance from my mom's trust. I simply wanted someone backed up by an entire firm who i felt i could trust to have the utmost high integrity along with a caring and loving spirit. I find Lindsey to be highly qualified and professional; and thankfully she is also very nice, straightforward, transparent and easy to work with. I did not hire her to litigate, but rather for informational purposes...to help me understand about trusts and how to proceed with all i was going through. She did this. Most people think inheriting a house is cause for joy. But it can feel stressful when you live and work on the other side of the country and there’s an adverse party with an equal share of the property that could drag out the process. Was fooled by the marketing hype of them knowing probate, but after a week of reaching out they responded rejecting my case, it seems they just want basic probate administration cases, they sell you that they know what they are doing but it’s a scam. If you have stupid money go ahead throw it away.

He worked on my Living Trust case, for unfortunately several years but eventually it working out for me and I couldn't be more pleased of the outcome. They stood by me, when I needed representation, and walked me through each step of the process so that the outcome would be in my favor. I can't express enough how much I appreciate having found Steve to help me through a very complex and difficult probate. My grandfather passed away without a will or trust and a lot of assets and children that completely dislike each other - it's been messy to say the least. I've worked in the legal profession for over 20 years and was referred to Steve Grant by an attorney I work with, as I personally didn't know anyone who specialized in Probate Law. One thing about probate law is that the court mandates or sets the attorney's fees based off of the value of the estate. The fee is also paid from / out of the estate... so you don't pay by the hour, so if you're reading this - you're probably searching for a good probate lawyer and wondering if you can afford a really good attorney, and in a probate situation, it's really up to you, the individual (aka the administrator of the estate) to find the best possible attorney (for the set fee that the estate will pay anyways). Someone that will give you their time, attention and expertise...someone who cares... Well, I'm thankful to have found Steve and that's why I'm even taking the time to write this... In writing this review, I thought it might be helpful to list out the words that come to mind to describe Steve and what kind of a person/probate attorney he is to have on your side. Steve is: Very patient Articulate Great at making himself available when you need to speak with or email him Intelligent - Probate law is very specialized and he really knows what he's doing and cares! Good Communicator - great at keeping me informed, organized and on the ball with due dates Works well with others - handles even the most difficult people very well (again, patience is a virtue) Handles complex matters very well Always pleasant and professional Logical and practical Always looking out for his client's best interest Excellent with follow through I'm sure there are many more qualities to add to this list, but if you're looking for a great probate lawyer, I believe this will really help break things down for you.
