I can't express enough how much I appreciate having found Steve to help me through a very complex and difficult probate. My grandfather passed away without a will or trust and a lot of assets and children that completely dislike each other - it's been messy to say the least. I've worked in the legal profession for over 20 years and was referred to Steve Grant by an attorney I work with, as I personally didn't know anyone who specialized in Probate Law. One thing about probate law is that the court mandates or sets the attorney's fees based off of the value of the estate. The fee is also paid from / out of the estate... so you don't pay by the hour, so if you're reading this - you're probably searching for a good probate lawyer and wondering if you can afford a really good attorney, and in a probate situation, it's really up to you, the individual (aka the administrator of the estate) to find the best possible attorney (for the set fee that the estate will pay anyways). Someone that will give you their time, attention and expertise...someone who cares... Well, I'm thankful to have found Steve and that's why I'm even taking the time to write this... In writing this review, I thought it might be helpful to list out the words that come to mind to describe Steve and what kind of a person/probate attorney he is to have on your side. Steve is: Very patient Articulate Great at making himself available when you need to speak with or email him Intelligent - Probate law is very specialized and he really knows what he's doing and cares! I called looking to get my parents qualified for Medi-cal. I got connected to Michael. Michael said they didn't get involved with that but that he'd refer me to another attorney who does. I came to Hornstein awhile back with my siblings cause I heard they helped settle the issue of durable powers of attorney in Woodland Hills area, and we worked out a triangle system between the three of us as to who would take care of who and who would make decisions if one of us couldn’t make their own. Last year my brother got in an accident and I didn’t have to fight anyone on how to take care of him. He’s able to make his own decisions again, but it was worth it to make sure we were each covered.

I got the heads up that getting my estate together before I died would be a good idea after my parents left a pretty disorganized mess for me to sort out. They had a will, but hadn’t set up any provisions for probate and my family ended up with a lot less than my parents intended. So I checked into estate planning attorneys in Los Angeles. Can I just say that I’m really glad I found Steve? Super nice guy, I mean, above and beyond all the time. My estate is shaping up to be a lot easier for my kids to deal with someday, and I couldn’t be more satisfied.

I am responding why gave this law firm 1 star. In the waiting area on the other side of office, I overheard the conversation between a client snd staff member. Staff member requesting payment and client responding.Staff member walked client to door and opened it for them. My friend's interview was in the big conference room.that was in front of wait area. I too overheard the conversation between lawyer and my friend. Your lawyer did not want my elderly friend as a client. That is your firm's right. I do not have an issue with that. After the interview was over no one helped my elderly friend who uses a cane to the door or or opened it for them. You law firm needs to treat paying clients and potential clients with the same common courtesy . You need to sound proof your offices and conference room.

I don’t write a lot of reviews but I was so happy and thankful for the good experience I had working with Ajalat & Ajalat Law and I thought it might help someone else who is looking for a personal injury lawyer. Everything about my experience with Greg Ajalat was awesome!! To begin with he told me he wanted to do some research before agreeing to take my case, because it was a complicated one. I could tell he wasn’t just going to take my money no matter what, and really wanted to be sure it made sense to move forward with my claim. At every step Mr. Ajalat kept me informed about what he was doing, how long it would take, and what possibilities we could expect. When there were several options, he talked me through them and didn’t pressure me at all to choose one or the other, just explained them to me and let me choose. There were no unexpected expenses. Even though my case was complicated and it was hard to predict how much the settlement would be, Mr. Ajalat gave me an estimate, and was able to get me an amount at the top of that range! The whole time I felt like I was talking to a real human being, who cared about my situation, thought carefully about things before making decisions, and genuinely wanted me to have a good experience with his firm. Mr. Ajalat was respectful and kind and made what could have been a very stressful situation much better. If you have a case of this type I recommend this firm so highly!

I wanted to set up a trust after receiving an inheritance. I chose Marc and his associates after reading all the great reviews, and he and his staff are everything the reviews state and more. I went into the process having been Trustee on my parents Trusts, but not know much about setting up a trust. Marc was very thorough, and helped me set up the trust the way I wanted it, giving me excellent and informative advice that caused me to rethink some of my initial ideas. Ever since we had our first child we said we needed to assign guardians, but we never followed through. It was in the back of our minds for a 11 years and 2 more children later. Then we happened to attend a Guardianship Workshop that Marc G. Garlett was offering. After his concise explanation we realized we couldn't wait any longer to take care of such an important matter - who would take care of our children temporarily and permanently if the unexpected happened. After the workshop, we decided to continue with Marc to plan a family trust. It was the best decision we could have made for our family. The peace of mind of knowing our children will be in the hands of those we chose is very important, and knowing our assets will not go into probate is a relief.
