After my wife and I had our first child, we worried a lot about what would happen to our son if something tragic happened to both of us. We attended a terrific family estate planning workshop by the Meier Law Firm to learn more about how to protect our assets and assign a guardian to our son. Laura and Bonnie were extremely insightful about the laws that govern children of deceased parents and how they would be treated by the legal system. Needless to say, it wasn't easy to hear how our son would be taken care of and how our assets would be distributed without a concrete estate plan. I have to say, Ernest Kim is the best lawyer I have ever had interacted with and cannot praise him any more than is possible. I was raised in a family of doctors, and as a doctor myself, I knew that doctors are notorious for poor financial planning and management.
