I don't know that I can say enough about Kyrsten. When I contacted her and spoke of my needs she immediately started working for me. It was an odd issue, but she was thorough, on task and didn't miss a beat. How is it that in a world of business you find a lawyer that actually puts YOU first? Kyrsten represented my husband in his divorce previously and currently for child custody/visitation issues. Coming from the current spouse of her client, she is the one you want with you in court. She is very responsive to her clients and very professional. She encourages positive outcomes and communication between her clients and the other side. Steve, Kaylon, and team are amazing!! They guided me thru a high conflict custody battle involving my newborn. They were always responsive, kept it realistic with me about the possible outcomes, and guided me thru each difficult decision and some of the tears too! With their help, I was able to negotiate sole custody of my daughter and a result that is best for my family. I felt like I had no guidance or representation. Reed law group said NOTHING The entire time just cashed the checks. My husband did not have to disclose his assets, or pay any spousal support. He was so happy with not having to give me anything he cried in court and thanked my attorney. The divorce decree was never enforced and after 30 years of marriage, I walked away with nothing.

I just called this place and while I was trying to explain why I called this man talked over me the entire phone call. I never truly was able to express myself because he kept trying to guess or finish my statements for me. Then still without truly hearing my concerns he told me my questions were weird while he laughed at me. So sorry I called this place!!!!! Your response shows exactly what I was speaking on. It doesn’t matter why I called you were not professional at all!! From the time you answered the phone till I realized I was wasting my time.

I've had years to reflect on my situation and experiences. Years ago, I went through Kurt and Lori, and it was well worth the money. Years later, my son's manipulative abusive mother got upset with me because I did not want to let her move in with me so she trumped up a some lies against me. I've decided to go through Haskell again. Yet this time, management changed. I reluctantly decided to pay the retainer fee expecting to get a fair representation and a fair price. To my surprise, I was charged for work I did. I was insulted by the referee based upon the lies of an abusive woman that wanted me to let her move into my home. She got away with keeping my son away from me and saying the most outrageous things about me to my oldest son. I now have no rights to him and have not seen him in years now. I've reached out to both him and his mother numerous times only to get either no response, or a negative response. Although I have custody of my younger children, it pains me that I don't get to see my oldest son and he's been turned against me and my other children. And the court doesn't seem to think there's anything wrong with it. They tell me as a father that I have to abide by a certain set of rules, while she's able to get away with breaking all of them. Thank God I didn't have to depend on attorneys for the sake of my other children! Their mom told the judge I'm a good father and did felt they needed to me. It's all in God's hands. I pray that the family court system will stop looking at men as just a provider, but as a source of love and stop hindering fathers from raising our children. But as of this point, I'm grateful that God has been taking care of my household and I realize attorneys are a waste of time and money for men unless you can prove the mother is a train wreck. Unfortunately for me, I was cursed with having to deal with a woman that's been through the court system before and knows some of the tricks to the trade on how to get away with things. One I worry about is when he gets older, he might learn the truth about his mother, he might grow even more hateful but towards his mother this time. I don't want him to hate either of his parents. But this is the situation she and the court system created. God bless! Take care.

Carlo Martina and his staff are and were God’s gift to me and my children. I refer to Carlo as a part of my family and always will. My case with my son was something that I could actually probably write a movie about. This particular case had layers and more layers and obstacles to overcome for me to get parental rights with my child. As I sit here and write a review it almost brings me to tears due to the fact of how hard we had to fight just for a parent to get rights for their own child. As a single father in the state of Michigan and especially being a minority a black African-American male the system is definitely not built for us we are stereotyped we are looked down upon, we are missed treated and mentally abused by the Wayne County, Oakland County and the entire state of Michigan in every county by the friend of the court. The friend of the court is not my friend and I have no idea of how they came up with that particular name. However what I do know is when I met Carlo and his team they made me feel like family, they embraced me like family and most of all they gave me the closest thing to a fair chance to gain parental rights for my child and children that I love. Carlo did not only help me with my case with my oldest son he also helped me through a divorce and parental rights with my youngest daughter that I had with my ex-wife. Even through divorce it seems that everything is unfair across-the-board when it comes to being a man but in my case it’s 1000 times worse being an African-American male dealing with any court system in this country. I speak from the heart and while I’m speaking I’m speaking on behalf of my family and my children and I would just like to say thank you Carlo for embracing me and my children, for embracing my family and becoming a part of my family. I sincerely love you Carlo and your team and I will recommend your services above all or any other law firm services in the state of Michigan when it comes to family law brother. I had an excellent experience with Stacey Selleck and her firm. She is beyond reasonably priced, strait to the point, no non-sense approach and takes the time to know your perceived side of the story. I needed a more aggressive divorce attorney and fast and Stacey was able to get the ball rolling right away. I would return to Stacey for any future family court case needs and I always felt comfortable with her on the case. She tells you the facts and lets her client know (myself) the implications and possible results of your choices. My divorce was somewhat simple because my ex and I didn't share many assets, however, Stacey was able to get me through the process quickly so the case did not drag on. All things considered, getting divorced was not complicated in my case and there are certainly more complicated cases than mine, but Stacey will work hard for you and get you the best results within her power.

Charge 6000 for much of no work!! Over charge me for my son in his custody court case , paying almost 700.00 in child support!! I felt she didn't do enough, let alone she was very rude and left me a mean voicemail on my phone!! I would not recommend her at all , my son is a young adult and she took Advantage of him !! When we sat and talked with her for the first time she was okay but as time went on she didn't do much of anything in my opinion!! I never got a invoice of anything ever 30 days like she said when my son and her and I sat down to talk about case , let alone my grand baby is about to be 1 years old in November and my son still can't get his child to our home until December or January, just so unfortunately that this attorney was a waste of money!!

I would highly recommend McAvoy law. Chris has been very helpful, along with his office staff my entire court process. I came to him after a divorce to adjust custody. Very knowledgeable and straight forward and will not lead you astray. I have always appreciated the honesty he has given me regarding my particular situation.
