Attorney Sutton was extremely thorough and to the point. Everything was done in a timely fashion, fairly and with a great deal of knowledge. He was able to quickly resolve my family law matter and returned 75% of my initial retainer. Most attorneys will find a way to cheat you out of your money. Mr. Sutton is hands-down the most patient, laser-sharp focused, thoroughly professional, and extremely fair lawyer you can get. My case dragged on for 2+ years. The party we were dealing with was very uncooperative, very chaotic, and extremely difficult to deal with. They were very arrogant and rude with Mr. Sutton, both in and out of the court. However, Mr. Sutton was unbelievably calm and unprovoked and simply focused on the matter at hand. He is also very thorough in his documentation and filed all paperwork in a timely manner throughout. I didn't have to worry about that at all. I have to say he is also very straight-forward. I kept going to him with a lot of emotional reactions to the events that were happening but he just gave a very honest opinion. At times, it did feel like he was very blunt but I realized at the end of it all, that he kept his focus on the most important and relevant things that would hold value in front of the judge. He cut out all unwanted drama out of my case and helped me get a very fair judgement that I am very happy with. I had also heard of stories of how lawyers see you as their cash machines and milk you dry by leaving not a second unbilled. That is so not the case with Mr. Sutton. Not only were his fees very reasonable, but his billing was extremely fair. Had I gone with any other lawyer, I am sure I would have paid a lot more than I did. Thank you, Mr. Sutton, for helping me through this tedious, painful, and difficult phase of my life.

I was in the beginning stages of my divorce when the firm I had representing me dropped me bc of a misunderstanding and lack of communication. I was literally standing in court with out a lawyer. I was referred to Stacy by another firm while I was scrambling to find representation. I knew NOTHING about her. What a god send it turned out to be. She feverishly rushed to get caught up quickly. She gave me personal attention. There was no question who was helping me. Once she caught herself up, she and I easily planned how to communicate with each other. She made it clear and easy what legal jargon I needed to pay attention to. We communicated in a way that made me at ease with everything swirling around me. From there we made a plan for what we wanted to achieve on 2 fronts. Most importantly, custody of my kids, and then the financial agreement to follow. Following a late night buzzer beater we hammered out a custody agreement the night before our trial date. It wasn’t exactly what I wanted, but as it turns out, the schedule was exactly what I needed. Keeping it out of trial helped ease the tension between my ex and myself- allowing us to co-parent together for the best of our kids. The financial part was tricky. I was the defendant, a man, who needed alimony and child support due to a disease I developed during the marriage that would put me on indefinite disability. Without going into specific details, I was wanting a “fair” divide, and my ex didn’t want to pay ANY alimony. The judge ended up giving us way more than our offer to them was. Alan represented me post trial in a matter where the judge denied me shared custody and had me paying more than I possibly could in awards and alimony to my ex-spouse. I hired Alan with the specific goal of reversing this order, and he had the judge actually reconsider key points of the original order. I received shared custody and the judge greatly reduced the monetary awards and payments to my ex-spouse. Since then, the relationship with my children has been great, I have been able to provide for them, and can continue living comfortable. As an added bonus, Alan represented me when my spouse appealed the judge's new order. He successfully argued in front of appellate judges. Alan is knowledgeable and courteous. He fights hard against opposing counsel. I cannot say enough good things about him.
