The FIXER????? He holds onto divorce cases for as long as he can so he can keep collecting money. He DOES NOT settle. Avoids phone calls, will not respond to clients or other attorneys. Does zero to try and settle a case. He is the worst. There is nothing he wants more than to go to trial.

To start, I'm amazed by how well Laurel Barraco guided me through my case and fought for my best interests. I employed the superb services of the Law Offices of Lisa A. Ruggieri, P.C. for divorce representation. I highly recommend her office and found Lisa and her office to be extremely diligent, helpful and proactive. I received email updates of all developments and each important notification was followed up by a phone call to make sure I received the information and understood it. I also worked closely with her paralegal Anthony and he made it very easy to upload documentation electronically and to provide electronic signatures when permitted. He was also very thorough in guiding me through the divorce proceedings. We conducted the entire process during the pandemic but Lisa was always on top of things, much more than opposing counsel. She was firm and clear in her positions defending my interests and I feel that our judge deemed her arguments were stronger and more convincing than the opposition. Lisa was also insistent that we complete the process quickly in order to save not just time and aggravation but also legal expenses on my end. I would highly recommend Lisa Ruggieri to anyone who needs representation going through family dispute litigations. I have worked with her for a few years on what should have been a minimal case. She is straight to the point and very knowledgeable in her field. She has been extremely responsive with any questions I have had and has worked vigorously to come to a reasonable agreement. Anthony, her paralegal was also extremely responsive and prompt in answering any questions, reviewing paperwork, and explaining processes. Very rude., never listen to the client. I am stuck in court for almost 5 years because of her inability to listen, she always yelled and do only what she wants. I was her client during 13 months for my divorce.In 1 year she put in her pack the whole profit of my part on selling of my marital house in legal fees and I still in court with many problems because she didn't protect my kids properly and most of my Divorce agreement has different interpretation accordingly to the law.

I wish I knew of Deborah during my divorce. The attorney who represented me in my divorce told me (and I quote) “don’t be an a******, sign it”. That mistake has put me in the hole significantly. I retained Deborah for a post-divorce matter which was financially and emotionally exhaustive. Deborah stuck with me every step of the way- when I was unexpectedly laid off, especially. We actually were able to mediate a post divorce agreement that my ex-wife and I both walked away feeling good about. Deborah’s commitment to her clients and their children’s well-being clear. There was a moment during my divorce process that I said to Karla "you take the wheel, I'll do whatever you tell me to do" and that was one of the best decisions I ever made. Divorce is overwhelming, confusing, physically and emotionally draining. Your world is turned upside down and it's hard to trust yourself or others. I put my trust in Karla and her team and they never let me down. Her interest in the well being of myself, my son and our future was genuine. Her knowledge of family law is unmatched. Her composure and tenacity unyielding, regardless of how bloated the other side huffed and puffed themselves up like the Big Bad Wolf. My divorce from an emotionally abusive narcissist was not an easy one. Karla has an emotional intelligence that is invaluable. She knows the law, but more than that knows how to read people and see through their personality disorder-based mind games. I am beyond grateful to have had her in my corner and recommend her emphatically.

My experience with the Mansur Law Group was far superior to the ones I had before. I, unfortunately, had to meet and part ways with a variety of Family Attorneys with mixed reviews about their commitment to my case. I have an ex-husband constantly filing complaints and losing them over six years after our divorce. This has recently culminated in a full-blown trial over custody of our children. My ex-husband was arrested and charged with assault and battery of one of our minor children. DCF was involved. The case was documented in detail and before it was dismissed, we attended parenting classes and worked with a family therapist in an effort to help him. This ended up with a restraining order due to his aggressive behavior that was captured by security cameras at my house. Karla Mansur was amazing at capturing six years of history that other attorneys had dismissed for being "complicated." Karla wrote a Finding of Facts document with such precision and eloquent description of the facts based on books of evidence and documents shared with her. She was firm in her language and extremely knowledgeable about how trials and post trials work. It was also comforting to wrap up a stressful experience with a Family Attorney who is so focused on the outcome, and most especially, the children who suffer as a result of a divorce. I could not recommend the Mansur Law Group more. If you are reading this before you do more research, don't waste time and reach out to this practice first. I don't get impressed easily and Karla Mansur and her team still impress me for their work in family law.

I couldn’t have made a better decision choosing Karla. I’ve known Karla for a long time now and have had her as a lawyer before. In my recent family court case with my ex-spouse, I needed Karla’s help to ensure the best deal possible against someone as stubborn as my former partner. Just from our first call about this case, it was obvious that she was looking out for me as another human being and that her heart was in the right place. Numerous places do the least while trying to get the most expenses out of you regardless of the outcome, but Karla went above and beyond. She helped me realize just how much more I should fight for certain things as opposed to giving in like I’ve so been used to. Karla helped me get the what I wanted against a tough adversary, and even helped look out for my wallet as well. Thanks again!

It was supposed to be an amicable divorce initiated by my ex-wife. It became clear that she wanted to set the financial terms based on what she thought was right. David was always calm and took some of the emotional elements out of the mix and focused me on the real terms. He was nonetheless a good listener and showed empathy while guiding me through the legal process. He shared with me some of facts he would have presented to a judge had the amicable process gone awry. But all in all David worked hard at moving a difficult process through to its conclusion with minimal acrimony. If you are looking to grind an axe I don't think he is the guy for you! Otherwise I would highly recommend him to anyone going through the inherently difficult and emotional challenging process of ending a union while minimizing the collateral damages. He will make the tough journey that much easier. He is really a good guy and a good attorney!

David defended me against a non-compete claim in which the plaintiffs tried to claim that my accumulated industry expertise, as well as material that can be learned from any undergraduate Computer Science curriculum, were protected trade secrets. I worked closely with David to rebut these claims; I was impressed with David's ability to assimilate complex technical information I provided, and use it to formulate legal arguments that demolished the plaintiff's claims. In my position as an out of work geek who was being sued, I was also very happy with David's cost-effective and collaborative work; this helped me exit the process with my wallet and my confidence in good order.

Divorce isn’t easy. It’s emotional, it’s draining and it’s complicated. We have one daughter that was pretty much stuck in the middle of all of this along with a pretty complicated financial situation due in part to the fact that I am a large shareholder in a small privately held family business. What we had hoped would be a fairly reasonable and amicable arrangement, turned into three years of an heartache and trauma. But, what was key through all of this was David. David allowed me to go on with my day to day life and not get bogged down but the inner details of the divorce. If a meeting needed to happen, I didn’t need to worry if my lawyer was prepared. David had it all together, so frankly, I didn’t have to. He was the level headed one. If I had an emotional breakdown, which happened, he helped me work through it. David also understood the workings of a small closely held business. That helped a ton. He got it. He got the fact that if you drain the business of cash there will be no money to go around. David and I ran a three year marathon together, and I appreciate all that he did.

David Burgess was an absolute pleasure to work with. He advised me through the process of mediation for divorce in which a child was involved. This was a highly stressful time for me, and David had a calm confidence that was just what I needed. He did not ratchet up the situation as I have a sense some other lawyers do. He made sure we addressed everything we needed to at each meeting, and his billing was always very fair.
