After doing extensive research on the Internet to find the best estate planning and family living trust attorney in the Sacramento area, my spouse and I narrowed it down to two firms. We had a free phone consultation with one of the firms and were impressed with what we found out. The other firm, the Goralka Law Firm, offered a free seminar which my spouse and I attended. In the seminar, which lasted about two hours, John Goralka presented a very convincing case for using his firm by going through the many mistakes that people can make when establishing an estate plan. This two-hour presentation gave ample time to interact with John and see how he thoroughly addresses these potential mistakes with his very comprehensive trusts. The seminar gave us much more confidence in using the Goralka Law Firm than the phone consultation we had with the attorney at the other firm, so we chose John to do our trust. We were not disappointed. The whole process from filling out the detailed questionnaire, to interacting with the friendly and competent staff, to our original meeting with John to review our specific parameters for constructing the trust, to the final meeting with John and the signing of the trust and all the related documents went very smoothly. We are extremely happy with our trust, and feel confident that we made the right choice in selecting the Goralka Law Firm. The trust was more expensive than the average living trust, but we are happy we spent the extra money to get the best product available. Saving money on your living trust can cost much more than the money saved if your trust is not constructed in the comprehensive manner John’s trust is. We have the most basic trust you can get from John, and our trust document itself is 64 pages. When combined with all the supporting documents of the trust, there are approximately 300 pages. We highly recommend John Goralka and the entire staff of the Goralka Law Firm.

After traveling across the country, during covid 19, John and his staff bent over backwards to insure that we would spend no more time in California than absolutely necessary. We traveled to probate an estate and also a trust. We arrived on Tuesday afternoon, were able to meet with John on Wednesday and signed our last papers on Friday afternoon, allowing us to leave Sacramento on Saturday morning. John's paralegal, Haley Hanam was a God send, taking numerous calls from us and ALWAYS being able to answer our questions and expedite our legal papers. They provided me with a simple Trust package. Included Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care and Durable Power of Attorney for Finances and a Will. A Homestead also. Included filing all of the paperwork needed to transfer ownership of everything to the Trust. A great bunch of people to work with. Very helpful and professional. All the staff help to reduce the anxiety around planning for wrapping up your affairs at the end of life. There is lots to learn and they are here to help. Would absolutely recommend them.

I always thought by having a Living Trust it would be so easy. I found out differently. My parents left their house in a living Trust and upon their death it would be left to my brother and myself. Upon the death of my brother I became the sole trustee but my brothers daughter brought a Will into it and tried to cut her brother out of his part or their dads estate. She didn’t want to share. Being the sole trustee of the trust I knew I had to find an attorney because this wasn’t going to be easy. Jonathan told me It was my responsibility legally to make sure my brothers estate was handled correctly. Needless to say I am so thankful to have been recommended to Jonathan Huber! I couldn’t have done it without you. He is just the greatest and so caring I can’t say enough good things about him. If you want someone you can really trust Jonathan Huber is the attorney you want. I would highly recommend HuberFox Law grp, we were very lucky to have Ben Fox representing us he is definitely a go getter and very knowledgeable about the law and I might add loves his job from what I have observed from his dedication. He has been trying to fix what a horrible fiduciary has done to our family probate since 2018 and finally 2021 it has all been mediated and settled in which case, if we had not hired this law group the fiduciary would have taken everything (even though she was way overpaid) ! We also worked with Austin Adams which is another great lawyer that kept track of everything and was very good with all communication throughout this long process. Although I haven’t used the services of Daniel A Hunt yet, I attended their Estate Planning Seminar. I am a client of a lawyer who joined his practice with Hunt and was invited to attend.The Seminar was well done. I have requested a consultation with them and will update my review at that time. Update: We have completed our Trust document. We worked with Craig Harris. He did a very thorough interview with us to ascertain our needs. We were sent a draft for checking accuracy, then another meeting to sign the Trust. Since my original post 1 1/2 years ago we recently had amendments made due to life changes. This was an easy process. A quick meeting with Craig, then a follow up with Kasey Sinclair for signing the Amendment document. Dustin MacFarlane has been my attorney for over 13 years. I find him to be very professional yet easy to work with. One of the characteristics that I most appreciated about Dustin was his offer to meet with my children when they came to town. (All my children live out of state.) Being a young, married couple with no children, estate planning was not the first thing on our minds. But understanding the need to plan for the unexpected, my husband and I set up a meeting with Mr. Burk to discuss our estate planning options. Immediately he made us feel at ease and welcome. He understands that planning for death or incapacity is not an easy subject to discuss, but he explained everything in simple, clear terms. He related to us on a human level, not just as an attorney, and he took his time with us to answer our questions and to lay out an estate plan that was customized for us. After we left his office, my husband (who told me before the meeting that he didn't really understand why we were doing this, because no one else our age is doing this) said to me that he was glad we did this, he feels really good about it, and that Mr. Burk made it so easy. It is never to early to plan for the future. We work hard for the things we have, and want to ensure that if something were to happen to us, our families would at least be able to deal with our estate without too much hassle and receive our property seamlessly. My wife and I chose Yee Law Group to help us make a trust and will. The idea of completing one sounded like a huge undertaking but speaking to Mike Yee and working with his office has made the process such a breeze that we wish we had done this sooner!
