When I first started with them I asked for a woman to represent me. They said ok and the male attorney showed up instead. I felt a woman would be better equipped. They agreed but did not honor their agreement to provide a woman who obviously was available. The guy just kept telling me how lucky I was to have great attorneys working with me now and bringing up money even while we were at court. Their billing practices are outrageous. They care about their clients only if they are rich. They have people who are not attorneys do their heavy lifting, charge you an insane amount and will barely answer the phone or reply to emails. Again if you're rich you'll get the white glove treatment if not they will treat you like an untouchable. Can't say enough about how much these people are terrible individuals and represent what everyone hates about attorneys.

I have worked with Mr. Greco on multiple occasions including dissolution, shared parenting plan creation, a modification of shared parenting plan and now a termination of shared parenting plan due to obtaining custody. I cannot stress how fantastic he and his entire staff are. Mr. Greco's knowledge base/tenacity are second to none, and couple that with his years of experience, you have a Goliath of an attorney supporting you. He is able to foresee just about every twist and turn imaginable and come absolutely prepared to engage. He is an absolute bulldog, and does not back down or roll over to opposition. There is not another attorney in Ohio that I would ever consider helping me with any issue in terms of family law. Petroff law is hands down the best. You can tell as soon as Andrea answers the phone to schedule your initial appointment that you are dealing with superiority. Their entire staff is just lovely, personable, well educated and patient... and just incase you need to hear this, you deserve the best. You are worth every last red cent that you will spend here. My child support got reduced last year shortly after moving to Columbus. Earlier that year I had accidentally let myself get screwed over in my dissolution... I just wanted out. Had I known about Petroff then, I would have hired him. At first, I paid for the initial consultation and after hearing my case, they helped me figure out what I needed to file on my own so that I could represent myself. I am confident that, had I not been dealing with an ex who has caused me to have severe PTSD, I would have been fine... but it came to the hearing and I panicked... BIG TIME. Due to major errors on my part, I was facing possibly losing my kids. So I went back to Petroff, not only did he get me out of trouble, but he got me a good deal that I could have been happy with if my ex was anyone normal. I decided that we needed to go to trial, even though Ron warned me of the massive risk I was taking. But he won the case for me anyway. There were several times over the last few months that Ron reminded me of how much money I was spending on dragging this out and having him represent me in Hancock County (1.5hr drive from Columbus), which was very sweet since I am the single mother of five and every penny counts... I always responded to him with "Oh you know I think you are worth every last red cent!", and to be sure, he is! I hired Ron as my lawyer because I needed to modify my shared parenting agreement and I needed a fresh perspective. Ron and his team were very efficient with their time. He is direct and breaks the situation down simply. I had confidence he understood the different facets of my situation. It ended up being a 5 day trial and I felt I was very well represented. I also will say the way he bills and used my time was very appropriate. I have an eagle eye in this area and I feel he was responsible and respectful of my time and money. I needed representation in a domestic relations case; I was told the Chelsea Long was willing to represent me, but needed to submit something to an ethics committee because of the nature of my case. I waited three weeks for a response from her or her office and never received one. In the meantime I was threatened by the other party's attorney to be thrown in jail for contempt of court because I didn't respond fast enough to the other party's request. This practice was supposed to be really good, and I'm disappointed with my experience. I hope others have a better experience.

I used Doug Dougherty for my divorce in June 2010. I have found out over the years how well my divorce was written and handled with interactions between us and my husband's attorneys at the time. Doug was always very professional and timely in his responses to issues pertaining to my divorce and with interactions with the other attorneys. I have had instances where my ex has tried to change how things are done, and due to the way my divorce was written, he couldn't do it. Doug made sure my divorce decree covered me now and in the future, should something happen to my ex-husband. I feel very fortunate to have had Doug as my attorney.

Doug Dougherty recently helped resolve my case - which involved a complicated legal issue - whereby I was seeking the court's relief from a prior alimony judgment due to circumstances that required me to retire from my job. Doug Dougherty was my attorney for my divorce. Unfortunately I had 2 prior attorneys to Doug - my first went on medical leave for the 2 months leading up to my initial hearing so I had to make a quick change. My second was almost impossible to get a hold of and it actually cost me the ability to have expert witnesses at my trial. Things totally changed when I found Doug. He is responsive, thorough, attentive, and extremely smart. He is a multiple time winner at the Ohio Supreme court for a reason. I would first suggest never going through a divorce but if you do, Doug is who you want representing you. Also, on a personal level Doug is genuine and real and will do everything he can to help you. Had he been my first attorney I know my outcome would have been even better than what it turned out and I still got almost everything I wanted. I told him when we settled with my x that it was a shame I didn't get to see him in court. If you're going through a divorce at least take the time to meet with him, you will not be disappointed.

Finding Doug Dougherty when I did was a blessing. I was using another attorney, from a completely different firm, and was at my breaking point. My divorce was final, but QDRO's and finalizing all the details had yet to be resolved. My life savings were in jeopardy and my, then current, attorney was unresponsive and completely checked out from the process. Doug took on my case, got up to speed quickly and set everything in motion. He was kind, professional and explained everything to me so that I fully understood the process. He was also very clear on expectations to the outcome of certain case items, which I appreciated greatly. I wish I would have known Doug at the beginning of my divorce journey. Paul is awesome! I’m so relieved we found someone who isn’t trying to take us for a ride and get as much money as possible from us. We haven’t officially had to hire him yet, however I’ve actually asked if we could pay him (with how many times I call him asking him questions I’ve started to feel bad) for the advice he gave us due to a custody matter, but he is so kind and has said multiple times he couldn’t knowingly take our money when he hasn’t done anything (even though he has by giving us advice about our case at least once a week). I chose to hire this firm for a civil matter regarding parental right issues. I paid them 1,500 for a retainer before signing the retainer agreement. They sent me a retainer agreement and a financial worksheet which they LOST when I sent it back and they requested me to send it out a second time to them. After that incident, I received a phone call while I was at work, with regards to my matter before signing the retainer agreement and sending it to them. It was a completely different attorney then we previously spoke too with different views then the first. I decided I did not want to retain the firm. I was charged 252 dollars..

As a divorce lawyer - she was OK. I chose her because she was honest and didn't promise anything. My major concern was that she didn't respond to emails at times and appeared unorganized. For example, after my divorce was final she sent me an email asking if I wanted my court documents and of course charged me 15 mins just to ask me that. I replied with a yes and asked for a time to pick them up. She never bothered to respond to my email.
