I hired Jill Mason to represent me in my divorce and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. Jill was a true professional and was responsive, intelligent, diligent, and was everything I was looking for during a stressful time. Jill also found an error that was made during the time prior to me hiring her and worked diligently to get it corrected. This error would have been extremely costly to me if she didn’t find it and get it fixed. I hired Jill Mason in this midst of false accusations brought towards me and during the transitionary period of my brother’s Guardianship proceedings. She also represented me during my brother’s Estate proceedings. Ms Mason successfully represented me to ensure that the best interest of my brother were kept as the utmost importance. Upon the completion of the Guardianship proceedings she continued to represent me while the Guardianship was in force over the next 10 years. Ms Mason was a beacon of hope to me at a time when false accusations were reported and our options appeared limited and the likelihood of a satisfactory resolution seemed questionable. Going through a divorce is not an easy experience. This is especially true when you are unsure of the process and the outcome. My research included talking to other lawyers, friends and Sarpy and Douglas County Court workers. The one name that consistently came up was Willow Head. From my first meeting through her representation in court, she put me at ease and I felt that she was looking out for my interests and assets. I was impressed with her knowledge of divorce law. She always explained to me the steps as we progressed through the process, the options that were available and the probable best course of action. We won on all issues contested in court. I highly recommend Willow!

Several years ago I was involved in divorce proceedings with my former wife and the mother of my first three biological children. After attempting and failing to undergo a collaborative divorce process with the help of a different attorney, I contracted Willow’s services on the advice of my previous attorney. The reason my previous attorney gave for recommending Willow was that, because our divorce had become extremely contentious, Willow’s calm demeanor but firm focus on defending the interests of her clients would be the best balance for navigating the challenges of a drawn-out and combative divorce proceeding. Over the course of the following year Willow’s calm demeanor was tested many times as the process took on a punitive aspect revolving largely around monetary interests and custody issues surrounding our children. Through all the distractions and even personal attacks Willow maintained her composure and built a clear case which showed why it was best that I have joint legal custody and significant physical time with my children. Over the intervening eight years I have occasionally needed to avail myself of Willow’s ongoing help to address periodic custody issues but the initial resolution of the divorce process was so well thought out and appropriate that we still adhere to almost every aspect of the original agreement to this day. As a result the children, now much older and beginning to enter into their teenage years, have enjoyed a very stable custody schedule and continue to thrive.

I cannot say enough good things about Hannah. I had a previous lawyer for my divorce who became ill and could not continue to practice, so I was referred to Hannah. Changing lawyers in the middle of my case was not ideal for me but it was the biggest blessing in disguise. She understood the importance of my concerns and she carefully outlined the things we needed to take care of. She was compassionate, knowledgeable, and her ability to communicate directly with me was vital to making me feel comfortable! I could tell she truly cared about me and my kids and that is all that I could ask for. She was able to wrap up an almost two year long divorce in a few short months. I was very pleased with the outcome and it’s all thanks to Hannah!

I was involved with having to go back to court for custody modification. I knew I needed a new attorney. Prayed and was led to Meagan Spomer. I put my retainer down the moment I left Meagan's office! She listened to me and had the type of character I was looking for. Meagan was always quick to respond if I emailed her, as well as her paralegal, Kelsey. The custody went on for over a year and Meagan and her para made sure I wasn't spending any more money than necessary while waiting for the opposing party. I would highly recommend Meagan to anyone! We hired Chris Pomerleau as a divorce attorney this past year. He was very insensitive and arrogant. He lacked the experience needed for our case and in many situations it felt as though he didn't know what he was doing. There were many mistakes made and we had to constantly double check everything to make sure it was being done properly. It was very hard to get ahold of him. At one point he told us, "he had 63 other clients" making us feel like we were his last priority. When we finally did get a meeting arranged with him, there was a miscommunication with staff and it had to be rescheduled after I had taken off of work to be there. When we met with him he did not answer our questions and was reading emails from ANOTHER client during our meeting with him. He was very unprofessional. This firm charged us a high amount of money with no substantial outcomes at all. In fact, when reviewing the bill many of the charges didn't make sense and when we called to clarify we only received vague answers. I am very happy with our decision to let him go and hire somebody else or we would not have had a good outcome. I would not recommend this lawyer or this legal group to anybody, especially anybody in a vulnerable position that can be taken advantage of. In response to the owner: I am a relative of the client represented, however I paid for the services provided so I do have the right to post a review. I was very much so involved in the case and attended a majority of the meetings with this attorney including the meeting listed above. In fact after reading all of the good reviews my hopes were very high and I decided to hire this group to help my relative through a very difficult time- it was one of the biggest mistakes I could have made. The fact that the owner finds our experience "laughable" and the language he has used to retaliate speaks for itself. The situation my relative went through and the experience she had with this firm was anything but laughable. I do not enjoy posting negative reviews and truly wish we had a better experience, but felt it was my duty to review this company after the experiences that we had. Also, David Crum responds to every negative review giving out client's history with their firm and private stories. That is against attorney- client confidentiality and very unethical. He retaliates against anybody posting negative or truthful reviews. Highly unprofessional.

I recently have been working with Karen for mediation and a custody battle of my 9yo daughter, who’s father has not been involved much at all until recently. I was so relieved that Karen was able to see through all the lies, charm and BS shows my daughters father put out and his ridiculous requests. Going into mediation, I was not sure what to expect and was terrified my daughter would be blindly put into the hands of an essential stranger (her father) for extremely long periods of time, but Karen really proved she knew her stuff. She is personable, knowledgeable and patient. I truly truly felt like she listened and cared about my daughters well-being...and for the outcome she was able to help provide on her behalf, I am eternally grateful and thankful.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This woman made a snap judgement on me based on a short conversation and she did not get to know my kids or really hear them as a GAL. She continuously let my ex husband speak for my daughter, and she perpetuated an abusive situation with her inability to reach out to friends, family, and teachers or to do home visits. She spoke out against me with nothing but her private conversations with my ex to substantiate her claims. I feel sorry for her--it's really tragic to be that one-sided and blind in modern times and to work to alienate a child from her siblings and mother.

Karen was my mediator and later my attorney. She is caring, fair, extremely organized and knows her stuff. Every question I had was answered promptly and explained clearly. I really felt like she cared about me and never felt rushed or that I was a bother to her. Her heart is just as incredible as her knowledge of the law. ACW law seemed like the right choice at first in my custody case between my two childrens mother and I. Seemed professional and I felt like I was heard at first..then as things progressed during the process, things changed quickly. I had to respond to multiple emails reviewing the same information I had already given and was charged for each email, phone call and meeting. I was made aware of that in the initial meeting and it was even stated that I needed to be aware of that because a lot of people are upset when they get their bills. After 2 weeks of absolutely no temporary parenting plan and my kids in complete limbo, it seemed my ex's attorney was calling all the shots and I was just being walked all over. It felt that the relationship between my attorney and my ex's attorney was more important than what my needs were. If you want someone in your corner fighting assertively, this might not be the firm for you.

Mrs. Burton has helped me in a time of need, a time where I had thought all was lost. I made a phone call on a whim and found her on my 2nd shot. Not knowing much about child custody her soft hearted approach put me at ease. She was very responsive throughout my case, she stayed on top of everything any new news was immediately relayed to me. She diligently worked on my case day and night even calling me after normal "banking hours". At times when I thought things weren't going my way a quick phone call set my heart at ease. Let me add ive never met Mrs. Burton formally in person as I'm out of state so I had no other choice but to trust her. She outdid herself operating on the grounds of "law" and not just common knowledge. I cant thank her enough and forever will keep her on speed dial for my future needs. My daughter will one day here about this hero in everyday clothing. Thanks ACW law you guys have a Rockstar on your team.

As a fellow lawyer, I feel like I have a unique perspective on how lawyers should operate as a fellow Family Law (well, QDRO) and estate planning attorney. These folks exceeded every single expectation we might have had. My dad lives in Nebraska, far from anywhere I can be of help as a lawyer, so my sister picked out a law firm to handle his trust.
