Brad is a great attorney, but his paralegal Pam is the WORST!!!!! We used Brad for stepparent adoption and Pam submitted the wrong paperwork 3 times!!! You would think you would make sure to find out from the court what paperwork that is needed before doing it wrong 3 times! Pam is also very condescending!! Every time I had a question or didn’t understand something, she was rude and made it seem like I should know already. Also like I was wasting her time. My last complaint about Pam is that she doesn’t communicate with you at all! I was always in the dark even up to the point of picking up our final paperwork from the court. She called me to say come get it, it’s ready. I showed up on my lunch break and she said “oh I put it in the mail.”. I was fuming!!! My dog communicates better than Pam!! Find a different attorney to use because you won’t receive good service from Pam!!!!!

I will never use their services in the future. They incorrectly billed me, and failed to bill the legal plan which I had in place at the time of service (which was a requirement of our contract!). They then attempted to collect money, that was not owed to them by me, for the next few years after service (service was in 2015). I replied to each one of their demand emails and letters letting them know of their mistake and they ignored every one of my responses. They continued to send demand letters every 6 to 8 months with no response regarding my replies. Terrible communication, and I wasn't pleased with their service or the handling of my court case either.

Professional, knowledgeable, interesting. It doesn't take a long conversation with either David Stevenson or Brad Smith to know that they have the experience and the wisdom that would warrant a much higher bill if their office was located in downtown Salt Lake. If you need a lawyer in the Ogden area, you really should give them a call.

I was impressed with the real estate law attorneys at Stevenson & Smith in Ogden, UT. They provided crucial advice on how to deal with a complicated real estate transaction dealing with a land trust. They were direct and responsive to my calls. I appreciate that they weren't afraid to tell me NOT to do something. Good local attorneys to have on your side if you have any real estate law issues.

I was a reck going into this whole bankruptcy thing, but Mr.Baron made my experience comfortable and easy. He was attentive, and very well knoleged! I would definitely recommend him! While filing bankruptcy isn't easy by any means its been a bitter sweet thing for me. Mr.Baron has included in the fees a GREAT financial counselor that has helped me refocus my finances I would definitely recommend Mr. Baron. I gave them a 4 star only because the communication between the receptionist and I could have been a bit better.

This is the best place to go if you need to file bankruptcy. The court fees and the classes that are required by the court are already included in the price. I've checked around and it is the best price out there.

I'm writing this review in regards to Rand Lunceford.  Rand is really easy going and it's really been an all around joyful experience working with him.  Giving the circumstances of course.  He's easy to work with and he's always got the best interest to work around any situation and make the best outcome possible.  I would recommend him to anyone that has to tackle lawful matters and is in need of some assistance.  Rand and Liz have always been efficient with my case and handled everything in a professional manner.  Also, the communication was always up to par.  Never had an issue discussing certain points about my case and I am extremely grateful I was able to work with them.

Danielle is an amazing attorney. She helped us navigate our child custody modification. She kept us informed of our rights as parents as well as keeping us up to date on where our case was. We hired Christopher Ross as our attorney after he made it sound like he would fight for us. After paying the retainer, he wouldn’t even hear our full story before making all sorts of assumptions about our case. When we tried to ask questions or give ideas, he would cut us off and wouldn’t entertain any of it. Not to mention, he never answered one email! Not one. Not even when we were in an emergency crisis after the ex wife refused to send child for visitation and we had to call the police. Not even then did he call or return an email advising us what we should do. After that we found another attorney who actually hears his clients and fights for their rights. He found things he could argue in about 90 seconds—things Christopher Ross didn’t find after already billing us $800 for “document review”. What a joke! I couldn’t be more disappointed in our experience with Christopher Ross. I’d give him zero stars if I could. DO NOT HIRE THIS FIRM unless you like giving away your money with nothing to show for it.

I had the unfortunate luck of going through a divorce and while it felt daunting at times, my attorney with Burton Family Attorneys, Matt Kuehnl, was the steady hand when I wasn't sure what was worth concerning myself over or to help organize my thoughts into words and actions. Matt and the other attorneys here seem to support each other and move as a team so that I never felt lost in the shuffle nor a bother when I had questions. Matt specifically treated me like a friend throughout such an awful period of my life and I am very thankful; he was firm and assertive when he needed to be but flexible and amicable with all parties involved. I highly recommend Matt Kuehnl and would use him again in a heartbeat.

Will Fontenot and his team (Cobie Spevak and Stefanie Cabamongan) run a very neat and tight ship. After my initial consultation with Will, I knew I found the firm to handle my divorce case. Cobie Spevak took over the majority of my case and was absolutely phenomenal. Her experience and knowledge were key. The result in my divorce and custody modification case and the service that was provided by the Fontenot Law staff was excellent. Will, Cobie, and Stef took the time to work through several of the opposing counsel tactics, were open to ideas, and always took the time to answer any questions I had or address concerns before moving forward. I’ve had Fontenot Law handle different matters for me, and have referred friends and relatives to his firm. The Fontenot Law Firm handled each matter effectively, with great skill, and was great to work with. I was always impressed with the entire team. Will, Cobie, and Stef were all very responsive to my requests and were helpful. They answered my questions and met all the deadlines I needed. They also did their best to keep costs down, but to be as aggressive as possible within my budget. I definitely recommend Fontenot Law for any type of litigation case.

Melanie Cook is the first lawyer that I have ever hired. I could not have selected a better one. She has compassion for your situation and works diligently to help you understand the legal process while determining if she can help you with your case. I called other lawyers who wouldn't even talk with me without first plunking down a sizable retainer. Melanie asked for a reasonable retainer only after I decided that I wished to have her represent me. Her billing rate was on par and the hours charged for her work on my behalf were likely understated. Melanie works on your level. She is never condensing and wants to help you make the best informed choices for your situation. At no time does she push you or demand you do things her way. She wants the very best outcome for you and works diligently to achieve success. Even after my court hearing, Melanie was there for me with words of encouragement and empathy. I felt like I made a new friend and that says everything about her character. I cannot endorse Melanie strongly enough. She will be my first contact should I ever need representation again.

Melanie is simply AWESOME! I thoroughly enjoyed working with Melanie. She is very personable and really cares about her clients as individuals and therefore, works hard to understand and meet your goals/needs. She is extremely responsive (not common in the industry) and makes herself available as much as possible (which may include providing her cell number to text/call as necessary). She even helped me with an urgent situation in the middle of the night (also unheard of in the industry). She was very fair with her fees (I also didn't feel like the clock was always ticking) and offered a large discount when paying invoices right away (another benefit that I haven't seen others offer). Lastly, Melanie is extremely organized. I was shocked at the amount of paperwork (two or three boxes full) that she had neatly placed into several binders, clearly marked and labeled for easy reference for yourself and the court. This is HUGE for cases! I highly recommend her! You won't regret it!

I was referred to Russ Hartvigsen from another attorney. Sadly to say, I paid the retainer for a flat rate to get me through settlement conference. However after a one page filing to reopen my case, I was able to settle with my ex on my own. In request for an invoice of work completed and refund of any balance I have sent probably 10 emails with requests and completely ignored. All integrity of this practice is lost when money is the only motivator. Now I have to hire another attorney to recover unused funds that was contributed to this retainer. Super! Would not recommend

If you're looking for someone who cares, someone who treats you like a friend, someone who follows through on his word, look no further...Russ Hartvigsen is the best attorney around! I have had several 'not so great' experiences with other attorney's in the past and this was not one of them. I met with Russ on a Wednesday afternoon and gave him to green light. That Friday just 2 days later, I had a signed order from the courts for this emergent situation I had been dealing with. He made it happen. He did what the 2 other attorney's couldn't do in months and even years. He treated my situation as if it was his own. Russ is attentive, loyal, caring, compassionate and more. I was stressed to start over with new representation, having to retell my life story while hoping the new attorney was invested/listening. I knew I had found my guy with only a consultation (free of charge.) Russ was and still is 100% dedicated and present with anything I need. Another benefit with Atticus Legal Group is the way they bill. In past experiences I felt anxiety sending emails, calling, asking questions etc, because I knew I was being charged left and right for, in my opinion doing their job. **Flat fee billing is how they bill...Not to mention lower prices than other firms out there. Ask all the questions you need, call, email, hey, even stop by the office, you won't be charged extra! Schedule a consult and see for yourself!
