Stephen Vertucci was the second lawyer I had to hire in my divorce, and I’m very grateful to have found him. Stephen is knowledgeable of Colorado divorce law and how they play out in the court room, and he has great interpersonal skills. He stepped into a situation with me that was not the norm, and he helped me find the best path forward to a resolution that did not leave me feeling like I would be continually stuck in the past. Although I didn’t like everything he had to tell me, I knew he was telling me the truth and providing the best guidance available. If I ever decide to become involved in a relationship again, I’ll be hiring him for a prenup!

Without getting too emotional, it is difficult for me to describe how well Mr. Vertucci represented me in my highly contentious family law case. Before retaining Steve my case was heading on a downward trend and I felt lost. Mr. Vertucci and his office exceeded my expectations with quick response times and a successful outcome to my case. Steve was dedicated to my case before I was even a client, taking a consultation call with me while he was home sick. My mother worked with Justin Oliver and Tara for two years. They both responded to our emails pretty quickly. They were very respectful and tried their hardest to finalize the divorce since it was a long process in our situation. They don't do what is best for the child and don't care that the other parent is abusive. I was also threatened through email. My name is always wrong or miss spelled even when I have corrected them time and time again. Just a bunch of money hungry people who care about nothing but the money!!!

I cannot rave enough about Randy and Meghan. I was put in a difficult situation from my previous attorney, that lead me to seek new counsel. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Randy was fantastic at explaining the whole process, and provided an outcome that was better than I was expecting. His expertise and professionalism gave me the sense of comfort that I had not had with my last experience with legal counsel. My soon to be ex partner called this office to arrange for an amicable separation and was given a slew of misinformation regarding the divorce process. He was told absolutely absurd lies about policies and division of property designed to incite ill feelings that would lead to him hiring them as divorce attorneys rather than having them file simple paperwork for dissolution without litigation. Luckily, we spoke to two other law offices that set the record straight and have continued with our very straightforward and amicable separation despite all attempts of this office to derail and inflame it. This is an absolutely disgusting display of parasitic and predatory behavior against people in pain with emotions and frustrations running high.

Mitch Tacy Family Law is excellent! Mitch was quick and thorough. They handled my mediation quickly and went above and beyond to ensure the process went smoothly as possible. They were also very reasonably priced. More than a year after everything was finalized, Mitch wrote a needed amendment for us within a week of asking and as always his quality was impeccable! Mitch Tacy is a great lawyer, and an adept person to have on your side, should you have to navigate a divorce. Mitch excels at seeing the whole picture and helping you understand the best possible solutions. Sarah was excellent during my custody trial. She was always attentive and responsive. She pushed me to go ahead with my trial during the COVID pandemic. Goodness, I am so thankful that she did. I had an excellent custody agreement and I was able to get it done and not postponed. Having everything done and settled gave me peace of mind, even during a pandemic. Would strongly discourage retaining Mr. Schufflebarger. My experience evidence Tim as a professional who is both ill and formed and neglectful. He misguided me in accepting a legal agreemen, which resulted in irreparable professional damage. For several months, he dodged my attempts to contact him and, when contact was finally made and he was asked to rectify the situation, he replied that he did not handle such matters. Liability attorneys may be reluctant to file suit against him, citing that he does not carry professional liability insurance. I would offer strong caution to anyone seeking guidance or representation with important legal matters about using Mr Shufflebarger. My professional life is irreconcilable due, in part, to Mr Shufflebarger.

He took my money and ran. He literally has not responded to me since December. I wrote him a large check to get the ball rolling yet he has done nothing..I have reached out to ask for a refund and still have not received a call or email or my money back. He sounded great on paper but could not get the job done for me and refuses to even answer me. I'm very disappointed hope it stops with me.

Jeremy has been my attorney for over 7 years now, dealing with my cases ranging from Family, divorce, custody, relocation and more. Each and every case has come out in my favor, he updates me regularly and is 100% honest in every situation. I was currently working with another law office that was taking forever on every item of a new parenting plan, except when it came to billing me. Was referred to SLC and worked with Ms. Clark. She was professional, very knowledgeable, and quick to get my case going again. She gave me actual advise (imagine that!) and realistic expectations, rather than just working on drawing the case out. I ended up with a fair resolution and a much better understanding of what my rights were as a parent than previous law firms.

My attorney was Karlee Stoppenhagen, Keller at the time when we started my divorce process. I trusted that despite of her being not experienced, the firm would help her and she would ask them when not 100% sure how to advise me. She completely destroyed my life with her incompetence. It's scary that people like that are able to put themselves in charge of other people's future. Also when we originally talked about my legal "advice" expenses, she said $3,000-$6,000 depending how complicated the case will turn out. Well, my total bill for her "expertise" ended up being close to $24,000!!! and I owe over half a million dollars to my ex over 19 years. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Mrs. Stoppenhagen and the whole practice that has the nerve to stand behind her abilities. Absolutely horrifying experience. She should be forbidden to practice law.

This law firm will over charge you. They act as if 3 different lawyers have to look over a simple answer to the court. Make up things you are charged for not give a real explanation of what its for. They talked ill about me to my ex who i was in court with. When we finally got to the court date that was only to put in for a mediator that is all not to talk about custody or anything i was already charged over $5000.00 for a 3 min court hearing then continued to charge me after i said no more without my ok first $3000.00 more before i fired them before i even got to my court date that i still havent had now they say i owe them my retainer plus 900 more dollars for what?? DO NOT USE THIS LAW FIRM!!!

Was told by my lawyer while fighting for my kids that daycare was not my responsibility and to quit paying that bill, 3 months later I am in contempt of court. So I ask my lawyer about it- and her answer basically is; since she's no longer my lawyer she can't give me any advice. Way to hang someone out for doing what you tell them to do. Would never suggest this firm because they will not back their client at all.

I cannot recommend Tom Cossitt and his team enough. He prioritized the safety of myself and my daughter and made himself available 24/7. At our hearing, the judge said that we had the best relocation presentation he had ever seen and we were able to relocate! Tom was aggressive and confident in court and definitely knew his stuff.

The best thing that happened to me when I was using this law firm was when they fired me as a client. The mistakes this place makes are unbelievable. Wrong names of my kids, not holding a deadline, not holding the opposing party accountable, legal knowledge all very sub standard IMPO. Run from this law firm. All they will do is suck up your money and do very little for it.

The Cossitt law firm saved my children and myself. Not only was I only partially employed (as I was a stay at home mom), I was going through a contentious divorce that was getting more complicated by the day. After switching to this firm, Tom Cossitt became our champion. My children are safe now. They are happy now. Tom is the hardest working attorney I’ve ever met. He actually cares about his clients, I’ve sent him three other friends now and they all have had the same success. Divorce sucks. Tom helped it to suck less. Tom cared about the details, our family, and what was most important for my children. If you’re reading this while shopping around, just talk to him on the phone because it’s the best advice you’ll find. Tom is the hero that you need to fight for you right now.
