If I could I wouldn't leave a star, I didn't even get to speak to a lawyer the customer service is horrible the phone was answered by a simple "hello" no law firm name no how can I help you, I asked to speak to a lawyer and she said that no one is in the office and when I asked her when can I talk to one she says I don't know when they will be in, she didn't ask for my name, a number they can call back on. After an awkward moment of silence of my waiting for her to ask for my details or for her to speak I hanged up! This is not a law firm because a professional business will at least hire someone with good customer service. Update: Please see response of the owner just to see the professionalism, take ownership for the mistake of your staff, this is not a connection issue as I was calling from the United States and your assumption that I am calling from Russia is just off putting and just weird to even assume that from a written review (FYI I am Canadian in case you want to make another assumption) I did find a good law firm with staff that knew how to answer the phone, announce the law firm's name when answering the phone and actually take my information for a callback.

Had an initial consultation with Mr Busby himself, sharing sentiments and legalities of a heartfelt custody issue. He listened well and understood the angles of proceeding in court. However, the day of court, Mr Busby was a no show. He sent people i had never seen or spoke to about my case. Very unprofessional and infuriating .

I hired Mary Ramos for my divorce matter and came back to her for my child support matter. Great attorney. Very knowledgeable in family law. She knows how to handle difficult opposing sides. The mother of my children was not an easy person to deal with, but Mary knew exactly how to work around her attitude. She is definitely an attorney who cares about father's rights. I will always recommend her to everyone I know who needs help with family law matters. Thankfully I have my kids living with me and I get to be such a hands on dad because of her. Since my case has been completed, I hear she's become board certified and won a few awards. Late congrats to her on her success. Her staff is great as well, I'm sure that helps contribute to her success. Do yourself a favor and hire her to do the job right.

Mary is one of the absolute best family lawyers in Houston. I retained her services for a very nasty custody modification my child's father brought against me that had mountains of allegations and spanned nearly five years. She was my fourth attorney on this ugly case. She is very smart and knows the law. She was able to quickly see issues and apply law where three previous attorneys had overlooked. She is direct and tells her clients what they need know, even if they don't agree (and you really need this). She devised a trial strategy that I initially didn't agree with, but we prevailed thanks to her experience and guidance. Her staff is incredible. They are very well organized and very responsive, ensuring that we followed all court rules in a timely manner and that our trial exhibits and support were ready. I was facing what every other super lawyer in Houston had told me was an impossible case to win, but Mary pulled me through. I owe her and her firm everything. She really is the best of the best.

Ed Davis made the divorce process extremely easy. You could file on your own, but why? Fill out the form on his site and he basically does the rest… a few months later- Boom! Divorce is final and you’re left wondering why you hadn’t called sooner. I’d definitely recommend him for your legal needs.

UPDATE: They are finally issuing my retainer refund today. However, I also just received the actual invoices and I am flabbergasted at these charges! They charged me $2,300 to file the paperwork with the County and then file the non-suit, 10-days later. That's all they did. No interviews, records requested, financial audits - nothing, because I changed my mind about moving forward 10 DAYS after initiating the suit. If you call this firm to handle your case, you'd better be prepared to spend $20k-30k+ based on these invoices. My attorney charged me $96.25 per email she sent me (most of which were two sentences or less) based on their 15-minute minimum "policy." ORIGINAL REVIEW: Nine weeks after closing my case they are still holding my remaining retainer funds. They keep telling me to “wait another billing cycle, per their policy” but even after waiting TWO cycles, I still do not have my funds. They keep telling me they’re talking to their billing department but no updates come, and still no refund.

In addition, I was called to the carpet by her at first introduction an honest assessment she gave in her wisdom and professionalism with regard to my personal responsibility to my children's child support payments and have found it necessary to let go of my personal feelings of state-sponsored kidnapping and ransom holding of my children by the other party. Absolutely best treatment ever. I had no idea what I was doing and Brian Walters and Raya Jackson, who are angels, walked me through the steps to get the best deal from my divorce manageable. There were a few hiccups in the end about some of my issues because of my income amount not being properly reflected due to investments, but they were very willing to work with me in regards to price which took a lot of the pressure off. Called about a minor legal issue. Eric picked up the phone and right away asked a few pertinent questions, then told me I did not yet need to retain the services of an attorney. I have been around long enough to know some attorneys will over-complicate an issue, ask for a sizable retainer, start by doing "research", then come to the conclusion nothing needs to be done- oh and by the way, the retainer was burned up doing research which was really just top-of-the-mind knowledge. This attorney was very knowledgeable and direct. I highly recommend checking this firm out.
