Went through a divorce my ex attorney wanted to know why it was taking so long to finish up the divorce It was over a year a basic divorce He spent a lot of time traveling I take care of my mother that has dementia But the kicker I was taking a lot of medication because of the divorce drinking and nobody mentioned this to me that my name would be off the house which I knew but my name stayed on the mortgage which I didn't know attorney didn't tell me that the assistant told me to sign here here Yeah maybe it was my fault but I took it for granted I didn't think there was a loophole and he should have had my back and told me that but didn't or else I would have never signed If you're looking for an attorney that's on your side all the time you're looking at the wrong place

I had started my bankruptcy with a dear friend who was my attorney but passed away from covid-19. His office referred me to Quentin. From the beginning (handling that delicate situation) until the end of our bankruptcy Quentin was very professional and understanding. Quentin made the process of bankruptcy smooth with all of his knowledge. He treated us with respect and I didn't feel any shame with discharging or debt. My husband and I had gone through a tremendous difference in salary and just couldn't afford the same items as before. The worst lawyers in town. They look at you as a dollar tree. I lost a winning case because of their unprofessional approach to the case. $$$$$$ is what is important to them not your case. Also they don't believe their client but take the case to just make money. Mr Simon, I was your client, please don't lie. I paid you law firm more than $9k for nothing. This firm had our retainer and documents for over 7 weeks before we ever received a drafted motion. This was a simple modification of child support based on age of child and income change for defendant. After repeated calls and emails, a draft was sent of the motion and it was completely inaccurate in it's entirety. Emails indicating as such have gone unanswered for an additional 2 weeks. I would not recommend this firm to anyone that is looking for competent and responsive representation. I can only imagine how difficult it is going to be to receive our retainer back so that we can seek other counsel.

There's not enough words in the English dictionary to describe the experience I had with David and his firm. He was patient, kind, understanding, and a little bit scary due to his depth of family law knowledge. My husband and I were incredibly nervous. David was caring and gentle as we dealt with different emotions of anger, worry, and stress. Our (sometimes) frantic, fearful phone calls were always met with empathy and reassurance that everything was going to be ok. His team communicated quickly and effectively throughout the entire process which kept us at ease that things were being handled timely and nothing was going to fall through the cracks. Misty worked tirelessly and her obvious passion for helping take care of our son often gave us peace of mind when we were feeling anxious. David showed that although he was caring and gentle with us, he had a bulldog mentality in mediation. He knew what was best for our son and was passionate about making it happen. David was relentless and aggressive as he battled to ensure that the right terms were in place for our son. He never backed down when confronted with push back from the opposing attorney. David negotiated an incredible agreement that will benefit my son immensely and will provide us with more rights than before, which will help us better care for our child. One gesture that my husband was especially grateful for was immediately following mediation. I was joyful about the outcome but anxious about walking to my car because my husband was not allowed to be there. David’s caring and gentle side came back out. He wanted to ensure I felt safe and comfortable so he walked me to my car. David and his team made a difficult, stressful process much easier to navigate. We cannot imagine going through what we went through without having the Tannen Law Group on our side. This firm lacks honesty and character. I was separated from my husband 5 years. We have no children or assets together. He and I both agreed that a divorce was best for us. We lived in separate states since 2015. I came to this firm for a simple uncontested divorce. My husband was mailed paperwork. Subsequently when paralegal left out a document, I was charged for mailing of the additional documents to my now ex-husband to sign. I was charged for every phone call and interaction on top of $2500 retainer which were 2 one to me, one to my ex-husband. This uncontested divorce with no kids, no assets no property cost me well over $5000! I am still being billed at present. I have never seen such. I am appalled and outraged. If you have a simple divorce, this is not the firm. What perplexed me most is that they could have referred me to a smaller attorney since my case was so simple instead of charging me outlandish, duplicate, made up fees!

Elyssa Williams, the best lawyer I have ever worked with in the most difficult time, season, climate, and situation in my life. She is the most compassionate, kind, professional, skillful, masterful, beautiful, prompt, no nonsense, dignified, caring, patient, detailed, intelligent lawyer that I have met. My mother died from grief and poor help days before I called, my mind and heart was so overwhelmed I could hardly construct a sentence to communicate. But in my heart, and in memory of my mother, I just wanted a chance to live beyond my mistakes--a second chance. Please do not waste your time or money. I paid close to $5000 for an uncontested divorce all I got was an email sent to my ex. No explanation ever on service. Never was consulted. Never met with an attorney, spoke on the phone 2 times to which it was inconclusive and the papers that were emailed to my ex had several errors and still do. They “went separate ways” and gave me the reminder of my retainer fee which was $300. The attorney spoke to my sister more about my case then myself. Never advised me legally on anything, again I had one phone call just asking what was expected and that was the only time other times we emailed and even the it took some time to get a response. The other times they call you is for more money to which I gave them more for nothing. Find someone else or for the paperwork I received you call fill it out online yourself. The worst experience horrible communication. Find someone else.

What a great law firm. These attorneys are not fly by night, tell you what to do, and then it’s hard to reach them. They are truly experts in the law, they take the time to educate you, and they are pit bulls in the courtroom. But not annoyingly or embarrassingly so.
