Needless to say emails went unanswered yet I got charged for them 'reading' them but not replying, paperwork was mishandled and lost, a complete mess.

Very Disappointed! I am calling numerous attorneys and this is the only one so far that the lady whom answered the phone kept repeating herself about PAYMENT! Till finally I told her, the payment isn't a issue. I just need to find out some info on your office for my son. She then told me that even if my son gives her the ok to speak with me and is present or on the phone that the attorney can ONLY speak to my son. Which I don't understand that. If my son is on the phone with me or if this meeting where to take place face to face, why couldn't I explain the situation we are having? The whole reason we are looking for an attorney is because my son when speaking tends to word things incorrectly or not say everything and that is why I would be the one to step in and explain with him present.. Needless to say the conversation ended. Never even got past the lady whom answered the phone.

Zahn law office just tried to suck me dry financially for being in court for me ONE time and asking for a continuance ONE time and accomplishing nothing at court and the attorneys Allison Novik and Paul Zahn want around $7300 for that! My situation did not get better I got absolutely nowhere but in debt! I’m so glad I fired Allison after just 4 weeks and one court appearance when I did or I’d be bankrupt and homeless.

An unexpected divorce or legal matter can be an emotional and financial train-wreck, and could change/will change your life. I highly recommend Stitch Law. My experience of divorce from a very high-conflict, narcissistic individual, was extremely difficult and Stephanie was very professional, organized and caring throughout my entire divorce case. The whole team of Ron, Stephanie, Sue and Candace work very well together, and handled the extra complications of Court closures from the Covid-19 pandemic with skilled proficiency. I had a great phone consultation with Maya where I went over the details of a post nuptial agreement I needed her services on. She gave me her fee over the phone and I told her I would get back to her as soon as my husband's lawyer had the agreement ready. Cut to 2 months later, I called Maya back to engage her services and it was like I was speaking to a completely different person. Unfortunately, she hadn't taken any notes during our initial consultation and couldn't recall most of what we had discussed. When I started to remind her of our conversation she proceeded to gaslight me in the most condescending rude manor. When you're hiring a lawyer for support on sensitive personal matters, and it's going to cost you a lot of money, the last thing anyone needs is a talking down to. I'm glad Maya showed me her true colors and I was able to save myself the headache of working with her. -- Response from the owner "Dear Ms. Benitez, thank you for taking the time to post. I have been professionally associated with Maya Shulman for nearly 20 years, and I have worked directly in consultation with many of her clients. I have always found her to be a consummate professional who takes her clients' needs seriously. She is a straight-shooter, and that might be off-putting to clients who think an attorney is supposed to be a hand-holder. Her clients (with whom I have consulted) have always felt she knew the law and gave them the best representation possible. Being that she is a Certified Family Law Specialist, her clients are involved in a divorce proceeding and/or custody battle. These are highly contentious and stress-provoking processes, and clients who are unhappy tend to blame their attorney. Bad reviews (sour grapes) are damaging not only for the recipient but also for the reviewer who has no ability to take responsibility for their role in the process. Prior to finding Dennis, my fiancé had spent years (and a substantial amount of money) on trying to get divorced with his ex, who lives overseas. When we accepted that nothing would be done if we didn't take action ourselves, I began my hunt for an attorney. After 2 weeks, multiple referrals, and several phone calls to attorneys and law firms, I stumbled on Dennis and felt good about him immediately. He did not try to rush my phone call with him, he sounded genuinely interested in helping us, and his rates and method of payment to his law firm, were far more reasonable than all the lawyers I'd spoken to in the last two weeks. I told my fiancé we'd found his lawyer, and we began working with Dennis right away. Throughout the course of the divorce process, Dennis was very prompt in responding to emails, always answered any questions we had, was very concise in explaining things to us, and overall a pleasure to work with :) I cannot say enough good things about him. I recommend him highly, and would refer him to anyone needing his services.
