I've been working with Mr. Greenwood for over a year to resolve some issues with my ex-husband in modifying our divorce decree. As we were coming to the year mark, I became discouraged because we were getting nowhere with my ex and his attorney. I was to the point of just quitting and talked to Mr. Greenwood about it. CoilLaw has represented me for over three years during my painfully litigious and high-conflict custody case. Steve has guided me through mediation, surprise temporary orders, a custody evaluation, both court and administrative proceedings, and creative litigation attacks. Although this has been an extremely difficult time in my family's life, Steve has lightened the emotional burden by intercepting intentionally hurtful confrontations and relaying them to me in a factual and reasonable way that seems manageable. The CoilLaw team is prompt and thorough when filing documents with the court and responding to opposing counsel. They deliver a high-quality work product that is consistent, clean, and professional. CoilLaw is quick to respond to my inquiries and proactively informs me the status of my case. The attorneys at CoilLaw work as a team, which means I still have access to an attorney that knows what’s going on when Steve takes a day off and I have an emergency. Family law litigation can get expensive, but I have been able to continue working with CoilLaw for so long because they are transparent with their billing and offer flexible payment options. I’m hoping that real people will take the time to share their “actual” experiences with this law firm, as peers, clients, or even individuals who have come into contact with either Jill Coil or one of the people employed by this firm. They exploit individuals and families for financial gain during what is unarguably one of the worst times of their lives. And they are very good at it - the manipulation of highly emotional situations. It’s hard to find the reviews where multiple clients have turned around and sued them for malpractice for making promises that have no legal basis while charging thousands and thousands of dollars (perhaps because settlements prevent them from doing so?). It’s as if everyone simply accepts that these attorneys (who are an officers of the court) can and will manipulate the law for their own financial gain, while convincing their client that this is in their best interest. It’s very sad that this group continues to practice law. Please speak up when you see bad or inappropriate behavior. Reviews can be posted by anyone to bolster an online presence. They can also be posted to educate people on the facts.

Savanah was a phenomenal attorney. I was fighting to keep 50% custody of my daughter and she was able to use my original order to get a dismissal. Do not use Melvin he does not research your case or do anything you ask or look at paper work you send him. Worst of all he quit 5 minutes right before the court time he quit. Don't waste your money and find a competent attorney.

Mel Cook is a consummate Professional. In November 2014 I was laid off work for medical reasons. Mel was referred to me by our HR department to assist in filing a disability clam with the Social Security Administration. Mel met with me to file the paper work which on initial response from the S.S.A. was declined. Mel then worked with me on the appeal and S.S. came back with a reversal of their initial decision. Mel was able to file and appeal with an agreeable resolution coming from the S.S.A. in about six and a half months. This is an amazing accomplishment if you've ever had to work with the government and you know how slowly the wheels of the system can turn. Mel has been supportive through this process. He has provided sound advice and has provided a listening hear to my thoughts and concerns. Mel is a good man and true to his word. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an individual with integrity and a solid work ethic.

My ex-husband wanted to take advantage of me because of my deafness, and inability to communicate correctly. We were separated for more than 5 years, I do not have job. He told the judge that he was crazy and he was determined to make me pay Alimony to him, because he says that I had, or have a good job, and this is false. I was and I am surviving just with the Help of the State because of my disability. I found Mr. Cook though the website, I emailed him many times, and explained to him my case ( by my captioning device for the deaf and hard of hearing ). Starting that day, He was my lawyer. And I am so grateful to him because he fought hard in my case. My ex-husband falsified information making the case harder to present/investigate the allegations. But at the end Mr. Cook, was able to respond and prove that this individual was trying to take advantage of me, Mr. Cook won the case! Now, I can say to everyone reading this page that God, put Mr Cook in my life to help me with this matter, I was with working with another lawyer before and believe me, "nothing close to Mr. Cook". If you need to file for disability I strongly suggest that you give Mel a call. I had answered an on line questionnaire that had several attorney contacts. I did some shopping around also, Mel was the only response that I had received from this questionnaire. Thinking now that from the lack of no other attorney's interest that I may not qualify for disability and talking with Mel at this point he assured me that he would not have taken my case if he did not think he could help me. He was right. Not only did he help me but my case was resolved quickly in my favor. Mel is a down to earth all around good guy. I owe him much gratitude. You should give him a call.

Took my money, wasted my time and didn't help me keep my child safe by never going back and doing the things the Commissioner ordered us to do. We were supposed to get a custody evaluator, never happened. They were supposed to arrange mediation with my ex, never happened. They dropped the ball on my case and lied to me about what happened. They want your money and they don't care about you. They gave me the run around on questions, weeks without returning phone calls and billed me for their lawyers changing appointment times. Go elsewhere.

Jeremy Jones is an excellent attorney who handled my custody case exceptionally. The firm will not string your case along and will work diligently to get you the outcome you hope for. The reason this law firms calls themselves Fathers Rights is because, typically speaking, the men have the money during a divorce and can pay the attorney fees. I didn't get the impression that this firm really cares about father's rights. As soon as my money ran out they stopped representing me. I would have thought they would have seen the case through to the end and then figure out how to settle up but that didn't happen. Instead I was left with an incomplete divorce and an ex that still continues to do whatever she wants even in direct violation of the divorce decree. And good luck trying to navigate the courts without an attorney! The people that work there are nice enough. I didn't have any personality conflicts with anyone. It is just very black and white when it comes to money.

Let’s be honest; when you hire a lawyer to represent you in a child custody dispute, you don’t want a French Poodle, nor a Pug. You want a junkyard dog, preferably a Doberman Pinscher or a Pit Bull. You need her (or him) to rip apart the other side’s arguments like so much steak on a meat shredder. Mrs. Whiting from Jolley & Jolley did exactly that, but with such class and style that even my ex-wife was visibly impressed (and humiliated). Thanks J & J!!!

Mark Hales is a horrible attorney if you can even really call him that. Stay away from Jolley&Jolley they will bend you over all they care about is over charging and billing you. Worst experience I have ever had. Alexander is a good sells man, his attorney that work for him are horrible they couldn't help a father with anything besides helping them getting bent over. Alexander I see you responded and your selling tacit hasn't changed. Mark Hales is your most senior attorney with your firm still doesn't make him a good attorney. I was a client I can see your records are as inadequate as your law firm.

Terry is too much of a used car salesperson who gives you the impression he knows how to overcome the challenges because he knows such and such and done a million of these types of cases. But in the end he all he did was pressure me to take a deal that I didn't want to take, mainly because he didn't know how to fight it, or couldn't be bothered. I totally regret hiring him. I had to hire another to fix the mess Terry made.

Stephanie Jensen was very nice and honest. However, she is super passive and NOT who you want representing you on a criminal case. Her ability too plea bargain was so poor I knew I had to go to trial. I chose to leave her and go to trial using a public defender because she was so passive. The public defender got the entire case dismissed due to lack of evidence.

I must have met her on a bad day, I’m shocked by all the amazing reviews. I agree more with the 1-star reviews. She was very unprofessional and overstepping her boundaries. Left me feeling verbally harassed. Did not seem open at all the hearing what I had to say. I think she must have been fulfilling a personal favor to come to me and tell me I wasn’t doing my job, which was news to me. Her stepping in actually made the entire situation much harder and took much longer to get resolved. In response to the owner’s reply - it also looks like she does not keep very good records because I have a long email thread that has my name clearly listed. If this is how an attorney reacts to opposing comments, I would be hesitant to hire her. I’m not opposing counsel or party, in fact, I was working with one of her clients on a situation that is irrelevant to Emy’s specialty of practice.

I was very impressed with the level of integrity and dedication of Attorney Cordano. My custody dispute was cause for great concern but Emy took the time to patiently explain my options. It can be quite intimidating facing such issues when so much is on the line. She reassured me regarding the strengths of my case and then articulately presented it to the court. Just Law Family Attorneys is a great firm. I had the pleasure of being represented by Laura Hansen and she did a terrific job managing my case. She cares about her clients and fights for those things that are important to them. She has a great team helping her and it makes the hard parts of your life a lighter burden by having a tremendous staff. Conor is a paralegal and he is very knowledgeable with the laws and pays great attention to details involving the documents and procedures associated with a case. He is quick with correspondence and it is a relief to not feel like you are just a number in their system. Conor makes sure that you receive all the documents from opposing counsel and that you verify documents needing to be sent. Melissa is a case manager and is super friendly and is very knowledgeable in family law. Any time I had a question during the divorce process I could call and ask her for clarification and she does an excellent job at helping answer and understand things that may be difficult or confusing to grasp. Having witnessed the activities of this group on a simple case, but is now, thankfully, in the hands of another practitioner after three years of inaction, lack of correspondence of any kind, and a capitulating outlook on all case aspects. It is unclear if this firm has a caseload balance issue, or if there is a lack of interest on certain cases. Either could effectively describe the handling of the case in question. It was apparent early on in the case that there was little interest in strategy, with every answer along the lines giving into the demands of opposing council at every juncture. The effect on the client was negative and long lasting, as they were often left with missing or unclear instruction or response to valid questions. Attaining assistance was further hindered by an alarming rate of office staff turnover, resulting in inaction through lack of continuity. Promised and scheduled meetings or calls were rarely, if ever executed. Meetings that did occur were unproductive and non assertive, with an apparent mantra that the firm is just present to file paperwork and nothing more. The lack of communication also effected billing. Regular statements, and requests fore statements went unfulfilled for inordinate spans of time. Billing will, however, be expedited after a case is transferred from the firm to another. This firm is not one I would choose if I was seeking even the slightest amicable outcome. Whatever the reason for all of the issues in the handling of the case, it resulted in the additional effort and expense of moving the handling to another law firm.

The team at just law is the best! When you have an attorney it's not just one person its multiple people wanting to help you out on what ever problem comes your way. I would recommend this firm to anyone! Jessica and her team know exactly what to do. If you have a family law issue turn to them first before wasting money at a different law practice.

I called the office with a few questions as to whether I needed to seek legal council. I was transferred to Melissa who works directly with Laura hansen and I felt like I was speaking to a good friend. It turns out I won’t be needing their help for now, but if anything changes I will be calling back as I have zero doubt they have my best interests in mind. Although I haven’t had the opportunity to speak with Laura, I would retain her just to have access to Melissa. The company is lucky to have her.
