I had a real estate closing scheduled at 4:00 with Ben Windham’s office last month and could not believe the level of unprofessionalism shown. I called and warned them I would be running late but because it was a simple closing it literally took me 10 minutes tops to have everything on my part done. While I was signing I asked for the wire transfer confirmation (that I’m untitled too), at that point Michelle who is NOT an attorney rudely informed me that had I been on time that could have been done. She also proceeds to tell me that the banks could not process anything after 4( contradicting the fact that it was scheduled by them at 4). Wow! By the way the office says it closes at 5pm and I walked out 5 minutes after, had I not been cursed at by this glorified secretary she would have not stayed 5 minutes late. I have since left Mr. Windham two voice messages to rectify the situation with absolutely NO response. In closing I would never recommend using them unless you enjoy be belittled, called names and cursed at. This complete incident took place in front of the closing agent who did nothing to stop Michelle from her rampage, I also must be completely honest with the incident. Once I was yelled and reamed at, I absolutely did my fair share of trashing her back! Please share this message, this is not a company that should be supported by the community!!! I had to write a public review to get a response from Ben Windham’s office, that says enough for their business ethics. Furthermore the term “dispute” is an attorneys favorite word. Dispute it till your blue in the face, there were witnesses and if the closing attorney says different than you’ve been lied too. I did admit to telling Michelle all about herself (raising my voice and I did curse) only AFTER she showed her ????. I will not act as though it didn’t happen or sugarcoat what I responded to her with. My initial remark that got her rude behavior was “ do I get a wire transfer confirmation?” When told no I said “ I’m not a big fan of that idea”. Best decision I made! Most professional and they take care of you! I was in an accident. My car was totalled and sustained a knee injury from the accident. We hired Stephen for a criminal defense case which really could have gone either way. I would have been 100% satisfied with the service he provided regardless of the outcome and I mean that with true sincerity. During our initial meeting, he clearly laid out all of the possible outcomes, pros and cons of the case, and was realistic with us. He did not try to scare you nor make it seem like we had the case and no worries. I appreciated how candid he was. Most importantly, his communication with us was superior. Final divorce hearing is tomorrow! Stephen Coxen has communicated thoroughly throughout my case. He's been so understanding and has had so much insight. I was in a motorcycle wreck in June of last year. It was a no contact hit and run.. Basically they forced me off the road. I was taken to Atlanta Medical Center for a trauma alert.
