Shuman Legal is one of the only law firms that care about their clients not just a money number but actual injured human beings. The entire staff, from the people that answer the phones to the guy that sweeps up at night will be there for you as a team. I had many choices for an attorney but it was a no brainer hiring Marc Shuman. He really cares about me!! He has called me on the weekends just to see how I'm doing. Who does that? Someone who genuinely cares about his clients well-being. If you are looking for a great attorney with a great staff that makes everything you are going through easier. Some of these goofy commercials on TV are atrocious and these people only care about getting the check at the end and nothing in between. Like most cases, there was a wait and mine settled In a little over one year, but they kept me updated on everything I had to know. Plus there are plenty of Bilingual reps! I received my check in the mail despite moving out of state.

Mr. Huner is not your typical attorney who only sees his clients as another case to settle and make money. The attorneys at BBG were exceptional. I was skeptical at first but I came to know that in Illinois, workers comp cases are difficult, long, and frustrating. I thought that he was extremely knowledgeable and experienced as a lawyer. As it turned out I didn’t need a lawyer, but I appreciated the time he took to talk to me. This was my first time contacting a lawyer. I appreciate that Andy took time for an initial (free) consultation to understand my situation and explained both the benefits and risks to me, including potential outcomes. He made me feel at ease by disclosing his fees were contingent based on a small portion of any recovered money (which was one of my concerns from the get-go). He is very knowledgeable with the Residential Landlord and Tenant Ordinance (RLTO) by asking relevant questions to formulate a detailed plan. Mr. Geller accepted my case after others declined to take it on. After I explained my situation (what happened) Mr. Geller pretty much did all the driving from that point forward. He kept miscellaneous costs to a minimum and was very flexible with scheduling. We did most of our communications via email and phone, which was very convenient for me. His office is conveniently located downtown and next to a parking garage with ample parking space so when I had to come in, I had no issues with directions or finding parking (rare for downtown). Mr. Geller kept me informed of my case status from the inception and laid out realistic timelines and expectations for the case. What you see is what you get with Jeremy! I highly recommend!!

I’ve never felt more taken advantage of by someone who is suppose to be looking out for my best interest. I was in a car accident I was already in a wheelchair when I had to endure another spinal cord surgery. When I first went to his office with my sister I was told going to court and asking for more money would always be an option. I later was told that was untrue because there was no more money I could get. I later agreed to put up $4902 of my own dollars to have Medicare allow me more money. I later was told we got you $9000 more, but never received the money I put up of my own. Not till after the fact that I was reaching out and being ignored was I told that the $9000 included the $4,902 I had put up. I have the statement that states the holdback for medical hardship appeal interest rate. But never received a statement stating I was being reimbursed for this. If that was the case then you didn’t get me $9000 more. I had made an appointment with them over this issue told them that I couldn’t be talking during the day because I had started a new job he then proceeded to call me repeatedly trying to bully me out of my meeting that’s when I knew he had no intentions of paying me.
