I’ve never felt more taken advantage of by someone who is suppose to be looking out for my best interest. I was in a car accident I was already in a wheelchair when I had to endure another spinal cord surgery. When I first went to his office with my sister I was told going to court and asking for more money would always be an option. I later was told that was untrue because there was no more money I could get. I later agreed to put up $4902 of my own dollars to have Medicare allow me more money. I later was told we got you $9000 more, but never received the money I put up of my own. Not till after the fact that I was reaching out and being ignored was I told that the $9000 included the $4,902 I had put up. I have the statement that states the holdback for medical hardship appeal interest rate. But never received a statement stating I was being reimbursed for this. If that was the case then you didn’t get me $9000 more. I had made an appointment with them over this issue told them that I couldn’t be talking during the day because I had started a new job he then proceeded to call me repeatedly trying to bully me out of my meeting that’s when I knew he had no intentions of paying me. It seemed he wanted me to do the work for him. Once he was let go or quit the firm, I was placed with two new attorneys. They finally got my case settled for $50,000. Good news? Nope! They decided to take it upon themselves to contact my bankruptcy trustee to inform them of the settlement even tho I supplied them with my discharge papers and my bankruptcy attorney had told them that there was no legal basis to do so since the bankruptcy was fully discharged. They ignored me, as their client, and my bankruptcy attorney and did what they wanted to do regardless. Of the $50,000, this firm took $20,000 (40%) off the top. They also didn’t pay all the medical bills from the settlement, leaving me with a bill just short of $1000 to pay out of my share. After it was all said and done, they cost me an additional $13,000 for no reason other than their incompetence. I was left with $15,000 of a $50,000 (30%)settlement that took over two years to complete. This firm is not reputable and does not have your best interest in mind. I would highly suggest you find a different firm. Thank me later!
