Shuman Legal is one of the only law firms that care about their clients not just a money number but actual injured human beings. The entire staff, from the people that answer the phones to the guy that sweeps up at night will be there for you as a team. I had many choices for an attorney but it was a no brainer hiring Marc Shuman. He really cares about me!! He has called me on the weekends just to see how I'm doing. Who does that? Someone who genuinely cares about his clients well-being. If you are looking for a great attorney with a great staff that makes everything you are going through easier. Some of these goofy commercials on TV are atrocious and these people only care about getting the check at the end and nothing in between. I had the pleasure of attending a national conference where Bob Hanaford was teaching other lawyers how to fight DUI cases. Having been a lawyer for over 20 years, I didn't think I would learn much, until I watched Bob. He was amazing. Bob taught us that we can know more than the police and outwit them at their own game. My wife had an accident awhile ago and Stone & Maya was referred to us and worked on trying to resolve the case with the insurance company. The firm kept us abreast throughout the process and explained the process and fee structure thoroughly from the start. As we waited some time as can happen in cases like this when it finally came time to provide a resolution to the case. I was contacted by one of the partners Larry Maya. He was very professional explained every aspect of the settlement details, gave his professional opinion on what options we had and also what he felt was in our best interest and course of action in resolving the case. He even explained in simple English terminology that was confusing and even how and why it applied according to IL law. The entire firms responsiveness was impeccable, meaning that within minutes if not a couple hours I was hearing a response back to any questions or responses back to my documentation sent. I believe they crossed T's and dotted I's to make sure that the final settlement was accurate and that there would be no surprises. In 2018 I was involved in an accident. The other driver blew through a stop sign and totaled my car. The police on scene found out that he drove on a suspended license and was under the influence. He was arrested on the spot. I am a State Farm customer for many years, and I have to say they treated me absolutely poorly. My car was old, so I had no full coverage and therefore they didn't want to pay anything. Even when I pointed out that the police determined that the other driver was at fault, State Farm refused to pay the 5000 Dollars for my totaled car. The State Farm agent told me that the police was not there when it happened so how can they determine that it was the other driver's fault. I would say the police is never there when a crime happens, that's why they investigate. Luckily, I found Staver Lawyers and they took on my case. Crystal was just wonderful, she helped me with everything. Whenever I called, she knew who I was and remembered my case right away. Paul, my actual lawyer, took State Farm to court and won over 60,000 Dollars from them. I highly recommend Staver Lawyers, they are really there for you.

I was recently in a car accident and fractured my right wrist, I am a dance teacher so needless to say this was very hard trying to to recover and work with a fractured wrist. Mr. Geller accepted my case after others declined to take it on. After I explained my situation (what happened) Mr. Geller pretty much did all the driving from that point forward. He kept miscellaneous costs to a minimum and was very flexible with scheduling. We did most of our communications via email and phone, which was very convenient for me. His office is conveniently located downtown and next to a parking garage with ample parking space so when I had to come in, I had no issues with directions or finding parking (rare for downtown). Mr. Geller kept me informed of my case status from the inception and laid out realistic timelines and expectations for the case. What you see is what you get with Jeremy! I highly recommend!!
