Shuman Legal is one of the only law firms that care about their clients not just a money number but actual injured human beings. The entire staff, from the people that answer the phones to the guy that sweeps up at night will be there for you as a team. I had many choices for an attorney but it was a no brainer hiring Marc Shuman. He really cares about me!! He has called me on the weekends just to see how I'm doing. Who does that? Someone who genuinely cares about his clients well-being. If you are looking for a great attorney with a great staff that makes everything you are going through easier. Some of these goofy commercials on TV are atrocious and these people only care about getting the check at the end and nothing in between. Like most cases, there was a wait and mine settled In a little over one year, but they kept me updated on everything I had to know. Plus there are plenty of Bilingual reps! I had the unfortunate experience of falling on silly putty that had been brought to a high school where I was teaching, and I fell and broke my kneecap and needed to endure two surgeries and much time off of my leg. READ WITH CAUTION. •This place preys on people in accidents somehow gets your number and tell you that your insurance company has partner you with a lawyer who’ll be representing your case for the accident you were in. WHICH WAS A LIE, If they hear about a car accident they go digging for clients number. •They will rush you to physical therapy of at a place of their choice ONLY because they’re good friends with the chiropractor who they do under the table business with to get money. •They will lie to you about how much you will be getting paid! They will drag your case on to the point you’ll be obtaining your own information calling around hospitals and billing for months-years. •When you call to ask about a update they will claim the hospitals haven’t sent anything over and they are still waiting when really they haven’t even sent anything to the hospital.... SO THE PARALEGAL ASSISTANTS ARE CLUELESS AND BARELY UNDERSTAND STANDARD ENGLISH. THE LAWYERS ARE ILLITERATE. THE ONLY TIME THEY WILL SPEAK TO YOU IS FOR THE RECORDED STATEMENT AND SETTLEMENT. •YOU WILL DO ALL OF THAT TO GET A SETTLEMENT OF 2,000 or maybe 3,500 if your lucky! This is by far the worst law firm in Chicago! If you get in a car accident DO NOT ANSWER THEM. Its been 3 months since my accident. And almost 2 months since my "physical therapy" ended and im yet to hear any update on my case. I have called all of their numbers available and no answer. The receptionist answered once and pretended like she couldn't hear me and hung up! That is definitely NOT PROFESSIONAL!!! After that the line rang and rang and rang and finally one of the operators answered just to put me on a callback list. I don't doubt after this they'll throw my case out! Let's see if this gets their attention atleast. They're just scammers. I JUST WANT A FREAKING UPDATE!!! DONT GO TO THEM!!

This people are by far the worst ever. They are ambulance chasers. What that means is they find clients through police reports and are so unprofessional. I had a great experience with Therman Law for a car accident. The at fault driver’s insurance was one of the famously worst insurances in the area with minimum coverage and yet Charles and his awesome staff (Karina, Kelly, and Anthony) were able to settle the case with the best result that was way beyond my expectations! I’m very thankful to them.

I’ve never felt more taken advantage of by someone who is suppose to be looking out for my best interest. I was in a car accident I was already in a wheelchair when I had to endure another spinal cord surgery. When I first went to his office with my sister I was told going to court and asking for more money would always be an option. I later was told that was untrue because there was no more money I could get. I later agreed to put up $4902 of my own dollars to have Medicare allow me more money. I later was told we got you $9000 more, but never received the money I put up of my own. Not till after the fact that I was reaching out and being ignored was I told that the $9000 included the $4,902 I had put up. I have the statement that states the holdback for medical hardship appeal interest rate. But never received a statement stating I was being reimbursed for this. If that was the case then you didn’t get me $9000 more. I had made an appointment with them over this issue told them that I couldn’t be talking during the day because I had started a new job he then proceeded to call me repeatedly trying to bully me out of my meeting that’s when I knew he had no intentions of paying me. I appreciate that Andy took time for an initial (free) consultation to understand my situation and explained both the benefits and risks to me, including potential outcomes. I had the pleasure of attending a national conference where Bob Hanaford was teaching other lawyers how to fight DUI cases. Having been a lawyer for over 20 years, I didn't think I would learn much, until I watched Bob. He was amazing. Bob taught us that we can know more than the police and outwit them at their own game.
