Clearly, this law firm does not care too much about people. I made 4 calls over the span of a month and the only return call I got was from the receptionist, who asked me for basic information regarding the case I was hoping to start. Back in 2016 I got a concussion at a hockey game. A fight broke out behind me and my injury was the fall out. My case was a long and grueling one for everyone involved but was well worth the wait for the outcome. Both Todd and Kelly worked tirelessly on a case that I thought would be a long shot when I first sought counsel. Head injuries don’t always get taken seriously in the legal system as they are a pain you can’t see. It’s not as tangible like other injuries tend to be. Neither Todd nor Kelly gave up on my case and believed in it and me. Todd taught me a lot about how to value myself - it was an unfamiliar feeling to have someone advocate for me as hard as he did. We ended up taking the case all the way to trial and he made the process as painless as it could be given the circumstances. Trial can be terrifying and he made it much more palatable. He walked me through every step, talked me through the hard times, and made sure I knew he was always rooting for me to get justice. Todd showed me that not only could this case make a difference for me, but it could be a step forward for others like me who sustained a head injury. If I could give zero stars I would. I would not recommend Scott for any reason. My case took 2 1/2 years to settle, and even then it settled for very little. Communication was awful even after asking multiple times to be kept informed. I was the one who was always having to ask for more information about what was going on with my case and then suddenly he would have information, but was never forthcoming with information. I was sent to multiple private doctors to get independent medical exams and then the cost of said medical appointments was taken out of the final settlement without one word to me that is how it would be done. He was lazy and did not seem to really fight for my case. I asked him multiple times to settle my case so I could be done and move on from my case, but every time something new came up at court or I was asked to get another exam done by a different doctor. The doctors all said the same thing and I was very frustrated by the end of it. I was also sent a bill that should’ve been covered by workman’s comp 4 separate times and was threatened with it being sent to collections. I had to ask multiple times that it be taken care of when I shouldn’t have received a bill in the first place. The whole situation makes it seem as though it’s not even worth pursuing a workman’s case at all. Do yourself a favor and avoid multiple headaches and go to a different lawyer.
