After 9 years of receiving 3rd party disability benefits, the insurance company requested I do an independent medical exam. Shortly after the exam, I received a letter that my benefits would be terminated because according to the exam, I could do my work duties with no problem. This couldn't be further from the truth. I had no clue where to start trying to appeal that decision so I reached out to the Hickory Brain Injury Support Group. They referred me to Charles G Monnett III & Associates. I got Mr. Berthold all the information and contact information that he would need to begin communication with the insurance company. After one or two phone calls and getting the needed information from me he began taking care of the appeal. Most of our interaction was done through email. The Devin Law firm went to bat for me. I was rear ended 3 years ago and am still in pain from this.
