As an executive director of a medium size organization, I work with many people in the legal and prosecution fields daily. Although family law is not my purview, this firm was recommended to me for a child custody and support case by other attorneys specializing in other areas of expertise. Unfortunately my experience has been negative and disappointing. Ive experienced a lack of unprofessionalism- I have called and emailed my attorney nearly a dozen times over a 6 month period, often with no returned calls or responses for months. Emails are not responded to. Phone messages are taken by the front desk staff, but not returned. I've been told- specific documents will be filed "by Friday" and they are not filed nor have they been filed in timely manners. If you are looking to shell out $3,000 to $4,000 of your own money to retain a firm to represent you during the most complex times (especially within family law) and provide you with the upmost professional responsiveness, follow-through and communication- this is not the firm. This is my own personal opinion.

Terrible!!!! I was in a bad car accident, I was referred to Peter M Romero he didn't do anything for my case or me at all! I was 9 months pregnant when I was hit by another driver. Finally when I went to pick up the rental car that Peter M Romero office called & supposedly took care of the rental car company was trying to put me in a 2 door car! My back was injured, I just gave birth & had my 2 year old to put in a car seat too. I couldn't believe they expected me to bend over to lean over to put my newborn & toddler in their car seats in the back of a 2 door super small car. The car rental company told me that Peter M Romero's office said it was ok when asked what type of car. I called Peter M Romero's office the secretary answered she was so rude & very unprofessional she told me she didn't know & hung up on me! I could not believe how rude & that she hung up on me! I called asked to speak with Peter Romero but got his voice mail again, he finally called back I told him what happened he never apologized he was making excuses for his secretary's behavior & for hanging up on me. After only having them for a couple of weeks of doing absolutely nothing, I fired them. They never did anything at all but put a lien on my settlement & took $1,500 for doing absolutely nothing! I asked for a detailed bill statement from them asking why in the world they thought they could bill me for that ridiculous amount for doing nothing, the bill shows they did 6 hours of making copies of what?!!!! I would never recommend or tell anyone to use this attorney!!!

I wouldn't recommend this lawfirm if my life depended on it because they would cancel on you last minute.My father had an appointment scheduled a week ago and they cancelled on him 4 hours before his appointment after he already took off from work. I wouldn't even rate them a 1 star but that's my only google choice to rate lowest. Don't trust this lawfirm and go with someone else.

I recently got the privilege to work with this law firm after being in a car accident. Tyler and Rebecca were very responsive and always trying to move my case forward in a timely matter. I had a brand new truck had it for 3 weeks it was totaled in an accident that was not my fault. I called these guys cuz I didn't know who else to call. It never went to trial they got me $18,000 I have to pay them, their Affiliates in Chicago Illinois .
