My wife was crossing the street when she was struck by a car that was trying to make an illegal U-Turn to get a parking spot. The insurance company tried every dirty trick in the book, one so dirty, that they tried to say her injuries may have been contributed to something prior only because she had an MRI done a year prior. She suffered 6 broken bones and several slipped disc in her back as a result of the accident. Surely it wouldn't take a year for bones to heal or slip desc to heal without any treatment, however, that's what they tried to pull but her medical records shot that insult down. Insurance companies call personal injury lawyers ambulance chasers. If that's true we need more ambulance chasers to defend the public and protect us from insurance companies. The way they tried to treat us, I would say thank God for Jacoby & Meyers. Jacoby & Meyers was with us from the day I contacted them until the end. They gave us all the information we needed to know to make proper decisions and didn't try to rush us to a settlement and was more than ready to go to court to defend us. They explained everything from the demand letter to limitations of insurance policies. The guys in this law office were absolutely amazing especially when it came to my case.
