I was seeking the advice and possibly the services of an Personal Injury Attorney. I called one Attorney and they referred me to several others. I called another attorney twice and got and empty promise of a return phone call. I want to give an enormous thank you and a massive commendation to everyone who played a part in resolving my claim here at this firm. I was t-boned two years ago off the service road by someone coming from the underpass while on my way to work. went from a normal morning like any other to a life threatening situation in a matter of seconds. easily one of the scariest moments of my life having no time to think about anything other than where I will land after being struck. saved by what I can only believe to be a force greater than myself I walked away virtually unscathed. my boyfriend rushed to come get me and we went to the hospital and I was able to go home after lots of testing. at the time that was the good news. then everything went south. I lost my car which was considered totaled and I barely got any money in return for it. I did not have enough money saved to immediately buy a new one and the rental was only mine for two weeks so I was without a ride for a long time. I was scolded at work for taking time off to recover and then I lost my job because I constantly needed to leave early to see my doctor for treatment. so I lost my car, my job, my income. then I struggled to negotiate with the adjuster to get a fair amount in damages and lost wages. one thing after another and I thought things would never get better... until I decided to hire this law firm. everything changed for the better after that. I no longer dealt with the adjuster directly. they handled everything from there.. I never had to think about my claim. I could sleep at night knowing it was being taken care of. the paralegal was beyond professional and courteous and maintained constant communication with me throughout the entire ordeal. they drafted everything I needed when starting and finishing the claim. they kept up with all my medical records and billing statements that were required for the case. I even got to speak with the attorney on multiple occasions and I received exceptional feedback and care from him. he made it crystal clear that his top priority was not settling for less than I deserve - even if that meant the case would be active for an extensive period of time. when I asked the hard questions he spoke in a respectful way that allowed me to put my full confidence in him and his team and he did not let me down. I walked away with exactly the compensation we were hoping for and once the settlement was decided it only took a matter of days to sign the paperwork, finalize the documents, and receive my check. I have never been more impressed by a law firm and how poised they were as a whole. I put my trust in this firm once and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I am a bit disappointed regarding first my impression with Bailey & Galyen Attorneys at Law. I had a great conversation with counselor George yesterday and he spent an hour of his time speaking with me on my case. This is where it gets a little dicey.. Upon calling in to set a consultation appt. I inquired if my type of case would be a flat rate or hourly. I was advised that this would certainly be a flat rate. After speaking with George he advised me of the upfront retainer and explained anything after is hourly. I advised I was told differently, but chalked it up to a new hire in their call center who perhaps did not know better. After speaking with George yesterday I knew I wanted to proceed with his firm, and upon the completion of our conversation he noted they would be emailing over the retainer link to me later that day. I didn't receive anything on my end, or this morning so I followed up today and spoke to their receptionist. She was friendly and confirmed they had an accurate email address for me. She then let me know how busy George and the firm are as he was presently in court, and explained they haven't sent anything yet. Meanwhile, the other four attorneys I spoke with yesterday, have all followed up multiple times and each sent me emails to move ahead with their services. When the receptionist read back my email as correct I advised her that it was a shame as one of two things are the case... 1) This firm/attorney is simply unorganized and unable to follow up on commitments made, or 2) This firm/attorney is too busy with their current case load to give my case the attention it will require. In either case, first impressions are extremely important to me, as they are with most people. When a firm fails to follow through on what they said day one.. my trust is lost. Especially when considering I am trusting you with my families future. All the same, I could tell George was kind and very knowledgeable of his trade and is very likely an outstanding family law attorney. Perhaps its just a matter of needing better/more paralegals or receptionists, either way, if I can't trust you with the small things, there is no way to trust you with my larger concerns.. at least not where family is concerned.
