Had a charge from 2001 I violated my probation, after so many years wanted and with a bench warrant. Hello, my name is VA. and I’d like to share a bit of my story with you all today. I came to this country as an infant and was brought up in Los Angeles, CA. I always thought I was just like anyone else here in the states. Not really knowing that I wasn’t documented until I became aware of conversations the older adults had in my upbringing regarding immigration. Growing up I was always living in the shadows thinking I had to constantly watch out for “la migra” and not go beyond the LA county “or else”. The thought of getting caught at the wrong place at the wrong time was something that was engraved in my upbringing. Years went by and my husband and I heard about Attorney Francis Henriquez through a relative of mine. I will never forget the first day I called the attorneys office. I spent countless hours researching, vetting, and interviewing attorneys following my DUI incident. Unfortunately, too many DUI attorneys prey on the uninformed with fear tactics and unrealistic promises. A close family friend who works as a Public Defender forwarded me several referrals that ultimately ended with "Richard Hutton - he's expensive, but he's the best." After meeting Rich in person, I understood exactly what she meant and retained him for my case. I can confidently say that I made the right decision. Rich's rapport with the DAs and staff was evident at every court appearance. When the situation felt hopeless, he worked relentlessly to come up with a creative resolution. It was a painful experience to go through, but in hindsight I don't think it could have worked out any better. Nothing is guaranteed, but you are doing yourself a huge disservice if you are charged with a DUI in SoCal and don't spend the time to at least consult with Richard Hutton. Best of luck.

Everyone at one point or another makes a mistake they wish they could take back while enduring the repercussions of their act. When the law is concerned, the fate of ones’ life can seem to be decided as nonchalant as a casual business conversation. In my case, I revealed my violation when I was applying for the police department to prove my honesty and show that I was ready to start making a difference in my community. My interview soon became an interrogation, and not long after I was charged with three felonies. When I came to Tom Medrano with my case, he immediately began to draw up a plan and described everything in detail what he would do. He used simple anagrams that explained how to go about dealing with the situation and gave counsel with the sense of optimism I needed. Most importantly, by the impression I gathered, he could empathize with my predicament whereas the justice system only made me feel like an outcast among society. I followed instruction by seeing the therapist and psychologist he recommended personally. At the final hearing my case was dropped to a single charge, with no jail time, and a short period of probation. I felt like I could finally relax after being so stressed from the matter. I was very pleased with all Tom had been able to work out. Not only did he reduce the typical sentence, he was able to arrange for a second set of terms. Halfway through my probation we would return to court, reduce the felony to a misdemeanor, discard the remaining time of probation, and expunge the charge from my criminal record. Just as he had planned, the court agreed to dismiss my case. I want to thank Tom so much for representing me and all his hard work. I feel confident I can move on with my life without the burden of my past hindering my future.

Not so long ago I was sitting right where you are…semi-frantically scrolling through listings and reviews, trying to figure out what attorney would be my best option to sort out this terrible mess I’d somehow found myself in. Just about the worst feeling there is. To make it worse, I’d just moved to LA and didn’t have even a single contact lined up to ask for a referral. So I get it…but hang tight! I can tell you without any reservation that you’ve found the right place. I have dealt with a few different attorneys over the years, and Chris Miller and associates were by far the most pleasant experience I’ve had. From the second I initially spoke to him on the phone, I felt a huge weight lifted that had been following me around like a dark cloud for days. If any of you have ever dealt with other attorneys you know some of them can be impersonal, dismissive, and leave you feeling like they’re better at squeezing every last dime out of you, than they are at actually representing your interests. Not so with Chris. He takes a personal interest in you, your case, your concerns, and most importantly: fighting for your best possible outcome. After speaking briefly with Chris on the phone and getting a very reasonable estimate for the cost of his services, I opted to come in and talk about the details in person. Chris fit me in with an appointment right away. After arriving I was seen right away, and he listened attentively to everything I had to say and asked detailed questions about the circumstances of my case. A year ago, I was involved in a hit-and-run (I was the one hit) and officers came to the scene only to arrest me for suspicion of a DUI. With my profession on the line, I had no option but to get a lawyer. I chose Ann Gottesman after my partner and I read some of her reviews online. When I contacted her, she was sincere in her sympathy for my situation and VERY HELPFUL prior to me making a commitment to her as my lawyer. Once I chose Ms. Gottesman as my lawyer, she took care of several of the confusing steps that needed to be taken in order for me to get my license back and drive ASAP. I called around before I found Ann. Every lawyer previous to speaking with her was not very optimistic about my possibilities. Also they were charging a very step rate. So you caught a case. You're worried about how you're going to pay for an attorney , how long you will sit in jail, how much your bond will be, and what life will be like after court. I was there too. I had talked to so many attorneys on free consults and it was always the same "pitch". They would use words to make me even more worried and overwhelmed by the whole mess. Fear was the tool they used most to try and get me to sign up with them. Some were rude. I had one laugh at me for not acting on the case sooner. They would always ask how much money or credit i had. That is understandeable. They wanted to "qualify" the sale and see if i was a good fit for their time and budget. The prices that these attorneys quoted me were way out of my budget. I assumed if i wanted the best i had to to pay the most. I assumed if they had a receptionist  take my number with a promise to call back then that meant  they were so busy they must be really good. Some never called back. I fell through the cracks on a simple follow up call with these "busy" attorneys. I dodged the bullet of neglect with these busy attorneys. Eventually i found Ann. She listened and asked questions. She never spoke in the way the other attorneys did. She never tried to scare me into taking action. She looked at everything objectively and educated me along the way through the whole process. She met me where i was on all levels. She was easy to get a hold of. She never lied. She painted the best case scenario and worst case scenario along the way. I always look for someone who has at least 10 years in their profession. That is a sign of Mastery for me.  Ann has more than that under her belt. Her prices and payment plans were  very reasonable. I would not blame her if she had to start raising prices. Your results may vary. I had a case dismissed on a very complicated case. I wish you the best. You are in good hands with Ann. Much better hands than with a public "pretender" . Her kind and gentle energy just pulled me in but she’s fierce in the courtroom and well respected! You always want to retain a lawyer that knows the judges and the DA’s respect. Ms. Gottesman is very professional, she fights hard for her clients she pulled a miracle out of the hat for me! I am so very pleased with the results Ms. Gottesman got for me. I’m free! Excellent service! Both Dr. Flader and Dr. Hirji are really kind people, not only they helped to understand my situation with patience, but also solved the issue for me during the quarantine, of course, with reasonable charge. They assisted me with my bankruptcy. They were very detail oriented, kept me in the loop through every step of the process and made me feel very comfortable through an uncomfortable period in my life. I was able to get my bankruptcy discharged and my 2nd mortgage amount was approved for a full forgiveness of the remaining principal balance by my lender. I feel like they exceeded my high expectations and I recommend them highly for any assistance you may need.

I have to start off by saying that how proffestional Hirji and his whole team is. When ever I have any problems I have reached out to only them because I trust them all the way!!! They are also very organized and look at your case on a microscope level. Before reaching out to David and Angela I reached out to some other lawyers but honestly it’s was a waste of time.
